A Modern-Day Apostle
At 72, Open Doors volunteer Norm Pankop isn’t slowing down. For the last four years, he has rallied the church he attends to send Bibles to persecuted believers and recently mobilized the congregation of 150 to write letters to underground believers in North Korea. “’It is more blessed to give than to receive,’ and ‘my cup runneth over’ are more than pleasant thoughts to me,” Norm says. “… These truths have to be practiced before one can believe them.”

In Vietnam, becoming a Christian—especially sharing your testimony—is a life or death decision. Still, believers like 28-year-old Vang Atu and his family, continue to point others to the gospel. He is thankful for the prayers of many who encourage him and his family to walk out their faith in dangerous condition.
