The Identity of the Antichrist, the Two Beasts of Revelation, and the harlot of Babylon

The Second Coming, the Trumpet Blasts, the Bowls of Wrath, and Inheriting the Earth

The Identity of the Two Witnesses of Revelation

The Possible Year of the Second Coming in 2027 AD Based on the Jubilee Year Cycles and the 1290 and 1335 Days of Daniel

There will be two literal prophets that will exist, called the "two witnesses" of Revelation,

And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.” (Revelation 11:3-4 [NIV])

Who will be killed in Jerusalem,

Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city–which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt–where also their Lord was crucified. (Revelation 11:8 [NIV])

And will begin prophesying 3.5 years prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ, hence why they are mentioned after the sixth trumpet of Revelation,

The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. (Revelation 9:13-15 [NIV])

And before the seventh trumpet of Revelation,

And the seventh angel trumped. And there were great voice in the heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world is become of our Lord, and of his Christ, and he shall reign into the aeons* of the aeons*. (Revelation of John 11:15 [MODIFIED-ABP])*

Interlinear Links: *αἰῶνας (aeons), αἰώνων (aeons), Revelation 11:15

Because that is around the time they die, in between those trumpets, which correlates with the Festival of Trumpets that begins on the first day of the seventh month,

“‘On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. It is a day for you to sound the trumpets. (Numbers 29:1 [NIV])

Which happens shortly after the second coming of Jesus Christ, since he comes with the sound of trumpets, which are the seven trumpets of Revelation.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God… (1 Thessalonians 4:16 [NIV])

Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven… with a loud trumpet call…(Matthew 24:30-31 [NIV])

Where 3.5 days later, they will be resurrected at the last trumpet that correlates with the trumpet blast of the Day of Atonement, which is blasted on the tenth day of the seventh month,

Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land.Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan. The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines. (Leviticus 25:9-11 [NIV])

“However, on the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It’s a sacred assembly for you. Humble yourselves and bring an offering made by fire to the LORD. You are not to do any work that same day. It’s the Day of Atonement, because your atonement is made in the presence of the LORD your God. Anyone who doesn’t humble himself that same day is to be eliminated from contact with his people. I’ll eliminate anyone who does work that day from among his people. (Leviticus 23:27-30 [ISV])

Which is the the last trumpet Paul spoke of, where the dead will be resurrected,

[51] Behold, I speak a mystery to you; we shall not all indeed sleep, but all shall be changed, [52] in an instant, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For it shall trump, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For it is necessary this corruption to put on incorruptibility, and this mortal to put on immortality. [54] But whenever this corruptible should have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal should have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word having been written, Death was swallowed down in victory.
(I Corinthians 15:51-54 [ABP])

This is because the Lord himself will come down from heaven with the signal of a shout by the head angel and a blast on God’s trumpet. First, those who are dead in Christ will rise. 17 Then, we who are living and still around will be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet with the Lord in the air. That way we will always be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 [CEB])

But after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on. (Revelation 11:11-12 [NIV])

In which case, the days of their prophesying coincide with a temple of God that will be built, hence why it is also mentioned in the same passage as the two witnesses,

I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. (Revelation 11:1 [NIV])

And since these two witnesses prophesy before the coming of Jesus Christ, this temple will also be built before the coming of Jesus Christ, where the outer court will belong to Gentiles,

But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles... (Revelation 11:2 [NIV])

Because on Mount Moriah, which is where the first temple was built,

Then Solomon began to build the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David. It was on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, the place provided by David. (2 Chronicles 3:1)

And where the second temple was also built, on the ruins of the first,

and he told him, 'Take these articles and go and deposit them in the temple in Jerusalem. And rebuild the house of God on its site.' "So this Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundations of the house of God in Jerusalem. From that day to the present it has been under construction but is not yet finished." (Ezra 5:15-16 [NIV])

Is where the Dome of the Rock also is, on Mount Moriah, which is the "abomination of desolation" that was prophesied to come from around 598 BC when sacrifices stopped, to around 692 AD, 1,290 years later, when the Dome of the Rock was completed on the temple site,

From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. (Daniel 12:11 [NIV])

And the new temple will be built next to the Dome of the Rock, which will be in the outer court of the new temple, where the Gentiles who constructed this abomination, who were the Muslims, also trampled Jerusalem for a period of 42 months, which was 1,260 literal years,

...They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. (Revelation 11:2 [NIV])

Where this period of time began around 688 AD when the Dome of the Rock began to be built, to around 1948 AD, 1,260 years later, when the Israelites fought for Jerusalem and began to regain authority over the holy city. Before these times, the destruction of the second temple was prophesied to occur,

And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.” (Daniel 9:27 [ESV])

Out of one of them came a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land. 10 It grew great, even to the host of heaven. And some of the host and some of the stars it threw down to the ground and trampled on them.11 It became great, even as great as the Prince of the host. And the regular burnt offering was taken away from him, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown. 12 And a host will be given over to it together with the regular burnt offering because of transgression, and it will throw truth to the ground, and it will act and prosper. (Daniel 8:9-12 [ESV])

The male goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between its eyes is the first king. 22 The horn that was broken and in whose place there arose four others stands for four kingdoms that will arise from his nation, though they will not have his strength. 23 Toward the end of their rule, when rebellious acts are complete, a rash and deceitful king will arise. 24 His power will be great, but it will not be by his strength alone. He will cause terrible destruction. He will be successful in what he undertakes. He will destroy powerful people and the people of the holy ones. 25 By his treachery he will succeed through deceit. He will have an arrogant attitude, and he will destroy many who are unaware of his schemes. He will rise up against the Prince of princes, yet he will be broken apart—but not by human agency.(Daniel 8:21-25 [NETBIBLE])

Then the king of the north shall come and throw up siegeworks and take a well-fortified city. And the forces of the south shall not stand, or even his best troops, for there shall be no strength to stand… And he shall return to his land with great wealth, but his heart shall be set against the holy covenant. And he shall work his will and return to his own land. “At the time appointed he shall return and come into the south, but it shall not be this time as it was before. For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be afraid and withdraw, and shall turn back and be enraged and take action against the holy covenant. He shall turn back and pay attention to those who forsake the holy covenant. Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.
(Daniel 11:15-31 [ESV])

“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand– then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. (Matthew 24:15-20 [NIV])

He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:4 [NLT])

When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Luke 21:20-24 [NIV])

Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said, “As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.” (Luke 21:5-6 [NIV])

Where the temple that existed during the first coming of Jesus Christ was not only destroyed, but it was also desecrated where another "abomination of desolation" occurred, which happened around 70 AD by the Romans who desecrated and destroyed the holy temple, whose line of emperors, then became a line of popes, thus fulfilling the prophecies related to the "antichrist", "the king of the north", "little horn", and the "man of lawlessness", which then began another appointed time of 2,300 years,

Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, “For how long is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled underfoot?” And he said to me, “For 2,300 evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be restored to its rightful state.” (Daniel 8:13-14 [NIV])

Where an "evening and morning" is a different way to express one day, hence,

God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day. (Genesis 1:5 [NIV])

Where this time will reach around 2370 AD, where the temple Ezekiel saw in a vision will be built,

In visions of God he took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain... He took me there, and I saw a man whose appearance was like bronze; he was standing in the gateway with a linen cord and a measuring rod in his hand. The man said to me, "Son of man, look carefully and listen closely and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Tell the people of Israel everything you see." I saw a wall completely surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring rod in the man's hand was six long cubits, each of which was a cubit and a handbreadth. He measured the wall; it was one measuring rod thick and one rod high. (Ezekiel 40:2-5 [NIV])

Which will be built by Jesus Christ after his second coming, during his thousand year rulership on the earth,

I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4 [NIV])

In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. (Isaiah 2:2-3 [NIV])

In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. (Micah 4:1 [NIV])

And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the LORD of hosts. The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the LORD of hosts.’” (Haggai 2:7-9 [ESV])

Tell him this is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the LORD. (Zechariah 6:12 [NIV])

This is what the LORD says: "I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, and the mountain of the LORD Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain." (Zechariah 8:3 [NIV])

The LORD swore an oath to David, a sure oath he will not revoke: “One of your own descendants I will place on your throne. If your sons keep my covenant and the statutes I teach them always*, then their sons will sit on your always*.” For the LORD has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling, saying, “This is my resting place always*; here I will always* sit enthroned, for I have desired it. I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor I will satisfy with food. I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful people will ever sing for joy. “Here I will make a horn grow for David and set up a lamp for my anointed one. I will clothe his enemies with shame, but his head will be adorned with a radiant crown.” (Psalm 132:11-18 [MODIFIED-NIV])*

Which relates to God dwelling and walking among the Israelites in in former sanctuaries,

"Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. (Exodus 25:8 [NIV])

Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God. (Exodus 29:45 [NIV])

I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. (Leviticus 26:12 [NIV])

Because it is this temple where Jesus Christ will dwell in and also rule from, for the high mountain it will be built on will be called "Mount Zion",

“In that day,” declares the LORD, “I will gather the lame; I will assemble the exiles and those I have brought to grief. I will make the lame my remnant, those driven away a strong nation. The LORD will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and aeonially*. (Micah 4:6-7 [MODIFIED-NIV])*

The glory of the LORD entered the temple through the gate facing east. Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple. He said: "Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites aeonially*. The people of Israel will never again defile my holy name--neither they nor their kings--by their prostitution and the funeral offerings for their kings at their death.
(Ezekiel 43:4-7 [MODIFIED-NIV])*

Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for the LORD of hosts reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will be before his elders. (Isaiah 24:23 [ESV])

Where the elect will also be, hence why they will stand with Jesus Christ on Mount Zion,

Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. (Revelation 14:1 [NIV])

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, (Hebrews 12:22 [ESV])

Where to the south of this mountain will be the city of God,

In visions of God he took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on whose south side were some buildings that looked like a city... (Ezekiel 40:2 [NIV])

A song. A psalm of the Sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. Beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth, like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King. God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress…. Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments. Walk about Zion, go around her, count her towers, consider well her ramparts, view her citadels, that you may tell of them to the next generation. (Psalm 48:1-13[NIV])

And because this temple will one day exist is why the elect will not only rule as kings on the earth, but also be priests for this temple,

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. (Revelation 5:10 [KJV])

It is he who will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.' (Zechariah 6:13 [NIV])

For this temple will have sin offerings for those who did not inherit the kingdom of God, since only the elect will inherit the kingdom of God at the second coming, and those that did not inherit and survived the devastation of the world associated with the second coming will serve those that did inherit,

Then he measured the court: It was square--a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide. And the altar was in front of the temple. (Ezekiel 40:47 [NIV])

Then he said to me, "The north and south rooms facing the temple courtyard are the priests' rooms, where the priests who approach the LORD will eat the most holy offerings. There they will put the most holy offerings--the grain offerings, the sin offerings and the guilt offerings--for the place is holy. (Ezekiel 42:13 [NIV])

Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who are they, and where did they come from?" I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. (Revelation 7:13-15 [NIV])

3 To all who mourn in Israel,

O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. 16 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. 18 Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; 19 then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar. (Psalm 51:15-19 [ESV])

And everyone else, who survives the destruction associated with the second coming of Jesus Christ, which will be very few, will repopulate the earth and become many,

Interlinear Links: *‘ō·w·lām (aeonially), Micah 4:7

I will make people more rare than fine gold, and mankind than the gold of Ophir. (Isaiah 13:12 [ESV])

For the LORD will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and will set them in their own land, and sojourners will join them and will attach themselves to the house of Jacob. And the peoples will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them in the LORD’s land as male and female slaves. They will take captive those who were their captors, and rule over those who oppressed them.
(Isaiah 14:1-2 [ESV])

See, the LORD is going to lay waste the earth and devastate it; he will ruin its face and scatter its inhabitants— it will be the same for priest as for people, for the master as for his servant, for the mistress as for her servant, for seller as for buyer, for borrower as for lender, for debtor as for creditor. The earth will be completely laid waste and totally plundered. The LORD has spoken this word. The earth dries up and withers, the world languishes and withers, the heavens languish with the earth. The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left. (Isaiah 24:1-6 [NIV])

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. (Revelation 7:9)

Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes–who are they, and where did they come from?” I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 7:13-14 [NIV])

...In number they are like the sand on the seashore. (Revelation 20:8 [NIV])

And unlike the elect, who have become immortal and cannot sin, these survivors will still be subject to sin and death,

Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; the one who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere child; the one who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed. (Isaiah 65:20 [NIV])

When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. (Revelation 20:7-9 [NIV])

Which are the people who the elect, who will be priests for this temple, will also ruler over,

To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’ –just as I have received authority from my Father. (Revelation 2:26-27 [NIV])

The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. (Revelation 3:21 [ESV])

It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. (Romans 4:13 [NIV])

And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom shall be an aeonial* kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.’ (Daniel 7:27 [MODIFIED-ESV])*

Interlinear Links: *‘ā·lam (aeonial), Daniel 7:27

“‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’ “The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’ “His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’ (Luke 19:17-19 [NIV])

In which case, after the thousand year rulership expires,

Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28 [NIV])

Which will also be the end of this heaven and this earth,

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Matthew 24:35 [NIV])

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Mark 13:31 [NIV])

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Luke 21:33 [NIV])

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. (Revelation 20:11 [NIV[)

A new heaven and new earth will be created where temples will no longer exist,

I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. (Revelation 21:22 [NIV])

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. (Revelation 21:1 [NIV])

See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. (Isaiah 65:17 [NIV])

As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the LORD, “so will your name and descendants endure. (Isaiah 66:22 [NIV])

Since sin and death will no longer exist in the new heaven and new earth,

Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire... (Revelation 20:14 [NIV])

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Revelation 21:4 [NIV])

And God will dwell among men,

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. (Revelation 21:3 [ESV])

Since the heavenly Jerusalem will come down from heaven unto the new earth,

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, (Hebrews 12:22 [ESV])

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. (Revelation 21:2 [NIV])

"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

"Jesus answered them, 'Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.'" - John 2:19

"Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?" - 1 Corinthians 3:16

"In him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God." - Ephesians 2:21-22

"Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight, and like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in scripture: 'See, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.'" - 1 Peter 2:4-6

"Now this is an allegory: these women are two covenants. One woman, in fact, is Hagar, from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery. Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. But the other woman corresponds to the Jerusalem above; she is free, and she is our mother." - Galatians 4:24-26

A rebuilt temple in Jerusalem is meaningless for those who belong to Christ Jesus our Lord. For us there is one Temple, and it is the Body of Christ, of which we are members.

-CryptoLutheran

If the temple of God is meaningless, since as you are implying, "Jesus Christ is the temple of God", then why did he overturn tables of moneychangers for the sake of the temple of God? Clearly he cared about the temple of God enough to turn the tables of those who were defiling it. Sure, Jesus Christ is the spiritual temple of God, but there is a literal temple of God that exists in heaven, and there is also a literal one on earth, that existed before, and will exist again. Jesus Christ is coming back, to live on the earth, where do you suppose he is going to rule from? From someone's backyard, or from a farm? No, he is going to rule from a glorious throne that will exist on earth, in a literal earthly temple, that will be glorious,

The glory of the LORD entered the temple through the gate facing east. Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple. He said: “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites aeonially*. The people of Israel will never again defile my holy name–neither they nor their kings–by their prostitution and the funeral offerings for their kings at their death.
(Ezekiel 43:4-7 [MODIFIED-NIV])*
Interlinear Links: *lə·‘ō·lām (aeonially), Ezekiel 43:7

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
(Matthew 25:31-32 [NIV])

You clearly haven't thought this through.

The Temple was meaningful. But something happened didn't it? Christ died and then was raised up, He gave His blood for the forgiveness of sin and established a new covenant in that blood. The veil in the temple was rent in two.

Jesus Christ does reign and rule. At the right hand of the Father, in glory. He is not returning to rule, He is returning to judge, and with that judgment He will then hand over all things to the Father so that God may be all in all. 1 Corinthians 15:20-28.

The Son of Man, when He ascended, was given all power and authority, as described by Daniel,
"I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that shall not be destroyed." - Daniel 7:13-14

Which Christ Himself said, "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." (Matthew 16:28) This is when the Lord ascended, as we see described in the Acts of the Apostles, "When He had said this, as they were watching, He was lifted up, and a cloud took Him out of their sight. While He was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. They said, 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven.'" (Acts 1:9-11)

For Christ has been given all power and authority from the Father, "And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.'" (Matthew 28:18).

Jesus lives and reigns now. He will come again, in glory, to judge the living and the dead; and at His coming when the dead are raised the final enemy--death--is defeated, He will then deliver all things over to His Father and God will be all in all.

Jesus isn't coming to set up shop in Jerusalem, when He comes, He comes in glory and with Him the renewal of all things, after all what does St. Peter say? "[Jesus,] who must remain in heaven until the time of the renewal of all things that God announced long ago through his holy prophets." (Acts 3:21).

No, he is returning to rule, for it is written,

Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6 [NIV])

You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth." (Revelation 5:10 [NIV])

The thousand year rulership of Jesus Christ has not begun, for although he began to rule in heaven when he ascended, his thousand year rulership has not begun because he has not yet descended to return to the earth. Why is it so difficult for you people to come to understanding?

I generally don't interpret the Revelation literally. I don't believe Jesus will literally have a sword coming out of His mouth, or that He will literally ride a white horse, or that there is a literal harlot riding a literal multi-headed beast. Like all of these things, the thousand years is symbolic and figurative. The historic teaching of the Church is that the thousand years refers to the indefinite period of time between Christ's ascension and parousia.

Indeed not everything in Revelation is literal, but not everything is figurative either. You must learn to discern between what is figurative, and what is literal. You err that there will not be a one thousand year rulership.
