Jonathan Cahn: "The Paradigm"

Jonathan Cahn likes to take ancient events and show us their significance in modern events. As a Christian there are times when we look at the News Headlines and think that we see the ancient Bible playing out in modern times in the modern world.

Cahn's first book was interesting, but I thought: so what. His latest book "The Paradigm" is different because he not only talks about a paradigm, he explains how Paradigms work. This helps us to know how to read our Bible and how to apply the Bible to modern events.

For me it is nice that "The Paradigm" is a point of contact between Science and Religion because they both use the word. Usually Science talks about a Paradigm Shift. This means that a new Paradigm or perspective is replacing an old Paradigm.

Paradigms are exact, precise and literal. Like a mathematical formula. This is very different from something that is vague and general like a metaphor. People do not understand how exact and literal the Bible is because they are use to dealing in metaphors and they do not know how to understand a Paradigm and how they apply to us in our modern world.

Cahn's book has done very well on the bestseller lists. Cahn has now become a leading author in the market of Religious nonfiction books. For me this is a tool for understanding the Bible and being able to teach the Bible to others in precision and exactness.

What do paradigm means? Remember God's word says that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things,
it will comfort us ( strenghten us), bring in remembrance that which we have learned, it will also interprete for us ( reveal the secret of the Kingdom of God to us)The world cannot understand the word of God, because it's foolishness for them, but for us (Christians) it's the power of God.

Always be assured in spirit of the leading of His Spirit when it comes to teaching the "precision and exactness" of His Word. Let us not be so taken with teaching events yet to come as if they are more pressing and therefore timely than are the foundational Truths of His Word. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3)

Let us not be so taken with teaching events yet to come as if they are more pressing and therefore timely than are the foundational Truths of His Word.

In Bible school I asked if there was anything in the Bible that was more important to teach. I was told that all truth is equal and we should teach any truth that we can.

Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

We have to be careful because every word we speak will be weighed in the balance and judged. I like to joke around about things but we have to be very careful what we say and watch over every word. Esp here on this forum where every word we speak is constantly being judged.

Matthew 12 "35 The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure. 36 But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
