This is not about you.....This is for the readers.

The bible teaches to be content with what you have. You preach to only be content when you have what you need and nothing more.....and if you have more, you should no longer be content, but do everything you can to get rid of what you have so that you can have little again....and then be content again. These are very different doctrines.

You can stop trying to make it personal again....your words cannot offend me and it only discredits yourself and your position. I dont want people to ignore your words just because they have insults sprinkled in. Bad fruit cannot fall from a good tree. It is unfortunate that messages are ignored because of the messenger.. but that is just how things are, and we should make note of it.

You preach storing treasure in heaven.....can tell us how not to store them on earth......but havent really explained how to store them in heaven.... So how do you store them in heaven......and how much treasure do you believe you have there now?
Ok, but please take note of all the scriptures i mentioned. The way you dont store wealth on earth is, you don't store up wealth, but are instead rich in good works. Sure its wise to save for retirement IMO, but he who desires to be rich will fall into a snare. We will be content with what we have (Hebrews 13:5)

1 Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Whenever you quote scripture, you are one hundred percent correct. It is when you interpret them that I disagree.

You feel covetousness in yourself.....this is why you see it in my words. Only God knows the contents of ones heart. Only he can judge where a persons treasure is. Only He know whether or not you are covetous. I am content with what God gave me, so I have no need or no time to judge you by what you have or what you say.

This thread is proof of the correctness of scripture:
".... for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart."

I leave the judging to the only one who should and can:
"Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God."
Honestly, i dont covet what anyone has. I would appreciate it if you stopped suggesting i do. Im content with a simple life. I see it as spiritual.

You missed the point again.....The point was, I not once thought about whether or not you covet, or how much earthly riches you have or dont have....nor would I, because I am content in the Lord.

The statements were to get you to look at yourself and why you are possibly seeing covetousness in comments that arent there.

I would suggest that other be content with what they have ...period....not only when they have little, or when they have a lot.

You preach storing treasure in heaven.....can tell us how not to store them on earth......but havent really explained how to store them in heaven.... So how do you store them in heaven......and how much treasure do you believe you have there now?

This has been discussed already, but I’ll leave the verse again.

They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
1 Timothy 6:18-19

This is how treasure is stored.

What is the treasure? It is Christ and his kingdom.

40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Matthew 25:40

34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
Matthew 25:34

Yes it has been mentioned already, yet you have to reiterate. I would suggest using the ignore option if you feel that you cant see a post from me without responding....even when you are not addressed. It makes the threads unnecessarily long and hard to read.

I leave the judging to the only one who should and can:
"Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God."

1 Corinthians 5:12-13
12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”d

In us judging fellow believers, we do not decide their final destination, but discern the fruit of their actions. If we are not able to righteously judge our fellow believers, we are not able to lovingly correct them. In my failings, I would hope that other Christians would righteously judge my actions and lovingly correct me. If they didn't, would they really care about me?

guess Job's treasure was on the earth because God gave him twice as much as he had in the beginning of the book of Job. He didnt need all of that.....good thing this forum wasnt around then.....we would of had him questioning his salvation and who it was that gave him his possessions.

Same for Solomon, He ask God for wisdom only, yet God made him the riches man alive......We needed this forum back then to tell him that God would not do that......God knows that there are poor in the world, people without homes and food.....why would he give him all of that? Wish this forum was around back then.....the bible as we know it, would have had to change....

Romans 1:21-23
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Luke 6:38 - Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
That scripture is referring to judgment, not wealth

3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Yes, the Lord will give us food and clothing as we seek the kingdom, just as he promised.

1 Timothy 6:8-10New King James Version (NKJV)
8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
