Desiring to be rich is a snare.

1 Timothy 6:9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Any thoughts on this scripture?

I think it's a wonderful reminder to us to keep our priorities in order and never sacrifice eternal salvation for the temporal pleasures of this life. That's not to say the two are mutually exclusive, but the pursuit of the latter often disregards the former.

Giving leftovers and charity to poor as afterthought
But if the rich eat organic nice nutrition...you know a dog barely tell difference in a nice steak
Don't feed an animal the good stuff...such a waste
But why feed someone your waste...Waste waste waste. What's right or wrong. People don't say thanks unless you make them...they won't even give part of what you give back to you, so being nice and neighborly seems like one-way loss
People become stingy and cold

The parable sower says that money is deceitful. Money sure seems to have deceived rich prosperity preachers. They forgot that Paul instructed timothy to flee from the love of money and to be content with food and clothing.

How can a wicked man be called good...acting good...a sinner
Do you give to charity? How rich is rich...if even the poor are too content in filthy sin...or boasting of deeds
Everyone's rich, you don't see it. Not rich enough...carnally...But they'r enot SPIRITUALLY POOR

Right now we are talking money, not the other means of caring for the orphans and widows that we are called to do as well.

Itsd wearing expensive clothes and driving expensive cars. Such a waste of resources and lack of discernment. Its carnally minded.

But who is to define the necessities of life? There are people living on the streets with nothing but the clothes on their backs and a few odds and ends shoved into a shopping cart. Are all of us more financially blessed than the homeless carnally minded?

Rich is a relative term, which seems to mean having one dollar more than the person using that word.
