Have you tried dialog with any of the atheists on here? They know the letter of the Bible very well.

I have talked with atheists here before, but I do not argue with them endlessly. They are not looking for answers for God. They are looking to mock God. I tell them of the good news of Jesus on occasion, but I mostly seek to avoid them because they are not open to the things of God.

As for them knowing what the Bible says: They have no understanding of it. It is a spiritual book that needs to be spiritually discerned. I do not even see them knowing the letter of Scripture all that well, either. I know verses by heart more than they do, I guarantee you (Unless they have a photographic memory or something).

The point is that they do not know the Bible.

For "...the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men." (1 Corinthians 1:25).

We ARE told not to love the things of this world, but what does that mean? Does it mean we shouldn't love God's Creation?

No. It means not to love the world system and the things that are created by that world system.

Jesus said if you look upon a woman in lust (i.e. fantasy) you are in danger of hellfire (Matthew 5:28-30). You did not actually commit the act of adultery physically, but you can do it with your mind. If you role play that you are an axe murderer, then you are pretending to be one (i.e. fantasy). God does not see the difference of a person play acting in sins within their own mind vs. the real thing. If a person has murderous thoughts or pretends to look like a murderer, they are doing wrong. God wants more than just our bodies. God wants our minds and our thoughts. God wants every part of our life. Even the way we dress should honor God. So how exactly can a person honor God if they dress like the devil, and or a witch? Does not God condemn the devil, and witchcraft?

That's one of the problems with legalists. Whatever they affirm as being ok isn't a sin, but if it's not on their approved list, then it's a sin for themselves and everyone else. It's a little trick they should call 'sharing the bondage'.

Ephesians 5:1 tells us to be imitators of God. Our Lord Jesus would not go to a party to honor the feast of the Samhain. Moses did not come down from Mount Sinai and combine the Israelites Passover holiday with the idol worship that was going on. Allowing children to dress as witches and sorcerers or hanging evil decorations in our windows is imitating that which is evil.
