My daughter Chelsea passed away from an accidental OD 7 months ago, I am in school right now to become a psychiatric nurse. I have been doing okay with school so far and keeping a good separation of my grieving at home, I'm in counselling, and a student at practicums. On Thursday I am going on a ridealong to give out harm reduction supplies and I was prepared emotionally to do this but today I found out the girl I will be going out with is named Chelsea and it now feels like too much, I am scared that I will break down. I am asking prayers that I will have a strong heart to get me through it. Thank you

OH how tough indeed! BUT because you can share, if you can share, that you lost your daughter by the same name, she might be able to identify even more with the risk? You do your best, that's all God asks, and that's all we all can do.

Father be with faith177 as she goes out to try and prevent another tragedy. Give her calm strength and words, my Papa, and help her know within that we are all YOUR children and You care about us even more than we do! :prayer:

Father, I ask that you will show Yourself strong to @faith177 on her ridealong tomorrow. Manifest Your peace and comfort to her, and enable her to enjoy her time with her ridealong partner. As she has done a good job separating her grief between work and home, help her keep a emotional separation between her riding partner and her daughter, realizing they are two totally different people who happen to have been given the same name.

I'm just here to say that following the death of a loved one, sometimes for even a few years there just seems to be these strange manifestations that come along. I don't fully understand the meaning but I also think they are more than coincidental and the good news is I have always survived them even though they give cause to reflect. My suggestion is to try and embrace riding with this Chelsea and what there is to be learned from it.

I pray for the strength of the Holy Spirit to be riding with you, in the name of Jesus I pray that. Amen

Father, I pray for this woman and Chelsea both, that they will be strong in You in working together. Father of mercies, and God of all comfort, may You supply peace that passes understanding, as this one brings her concerns to You, Philippians 4:6-7. May she walk as having hinds feet on high places, Habakkuk 3:19, her strength being in You. May she magnify You in that strength, You who can get us through anything that comes along in this life, Psalms 23:4; Isaiah 59:19. Amen.
