To witness some of Satan's finest work, just watch this. I can stand for five minutes of it.
Here we see the truly lost and damned souls. Easy fodder for Satan. They arouse anger, depression and impatience in me. They make a mockery of love, they don't know what it means. The audience is an arena, Kyle himself the ringmaster, aider and abeter in a dreadful display of human ignorance and sin. The brute lives of these totally misguided people is laid bare for the world to gape at.

Same goes for the majority of tv shows. Just a platform for showing off, empty futile ambition and illustrative of the destructive effects of rooting one's heart in this temporary life.

No true Christian would do these things. We have aim, reason and structure to our lives once we allow Jesus Christ to guide us. I feel so frightened for the fate of those who live the terrible lives of pain and mutual destruction and parade their stupidity in front of everyone. Kyle himself is a bully. It's painful to watch.

Therefore I normally go to the TBN UK channel or watch an informative documentary. I don't watch the soaps either, as they are filled with strife, arguments and nonsense.

I've changed a lot since becoming a Christian, I see everything in a new light. I am so grateful to have had my eyes and ears opened. Most of all, life now makes sense and has purpose and Joy.

Hi........
I don't often watch Kyle, because his guests tend to be disfunctional disabled folks who are being used and abused for the purpose of producing a media circus of shocks.

I feel sorry for many of the guests, while feeling total disrespect for the show's despicable producers and presenter.

Kyle obviously does not recognise himself as a media monster but I think that he is. His techniques for enflaming guests and gaining cheap claps are just so dreadful.

But the very worst aspect of this program imo is the fact that polygraph equipment is used and the show decides upon 'lie' or 'truth' based upon the decisions of a single unknown person using unreliable equipment, and Kyle often pushes very hard to separate couples on the basis of such results.

Kyle seems to me to be one of the most judgmental and self-righteous folks on telly, and given his own personal history of failures, indiscretions and weaknesses I just don't know how the show survives. Matbe the British audience is wrong for supporting this show, but it does, and that does not reflect well on our country.

i have watched Jeremy Kyle before as wished i never did

it is really difficult to watch the brokenness and hopelessness that is on open display at the show in order to ( i assume) to garner higher ratings.

also i feel there is almost like a demonic spirit working behind the show, something very dark settled over me while i was watching it, and I can not explain why....

Not sure why it would take religious faith to spot a poor programme - but if that worked for you, fine.

People in many parts of the world stare at car crashes they pass on the road. The (small) UK audience is not unique.

I watched the program in the expectation that it would attempt to resolve issues between individuals; that it would be somewhat exploitative, but would ultimately "do good". How naive was that!

Kyle is, as others have suggested a despicable, mean-minded, mealy-mouthed bully. I found myself watching portions of three or four programs because I was having trouble believing what I was seeing. Two things need to be kept in mind about the participants:
  • They almost certainly aren't as bad as they appear. They are "acting up" in order to get their fifteen minutes of fame.
  • They almost certainly aren't as bad as they appear. Many of us would look disreputable if we allowed Kyle to get his fecal encrusted hands on us.

Hi,
my answer is that once you become a follower of Christ, you are able to see this world in a very different way. You can see quickly which people are controlled by the Devil and which by God.Every one of those who appear on that show are vulnerable and in Satan's power. They have no ability to resist. They allow themselves to be ruled by their appetites, giving in at every turn. They have no morals, no foundation and no real reasons for anything. Their children are neglected while they are blown this way and that by their miserable lives. If they knew the Lord Jesus, they would become strong and have purpose to their days. But demons sit in them, whispers of hopelessness are in their ears.
I am not superior to them. I and other Christians are just lucky we know and love the Lord. So Kyle will never see us in His show.

And the Christians who go there aren´t TrueChristiansTM, correct?

Absolutely.
I trained commercial detectives for twenty years, specialising in conflict control and the show interests me on a number of levels, and so I sometimes watch it.
Kyle's show techniques interest me. His methods of gaining crowd applause and clamour, his methods of agitating guests into anger or excitement, etc etc.

There is one highly redeeming feature of this program, and that is in the person of the resident psychiatrist Graham, whose every sentence (when he is asked to speak) is a professional brilliance. In fact if Graham and the conflict-control team would be given their own show, focusing upon the personal difficulties of both individuals and couples.... I feel sure that it would be a major success. And Kyle could be dumped, imo.

I haven't watched much of this programme...I only ever watched it at someone else's house and they were watching it. It really is horrible to see people's fractured lives being displayed for the world to see. However, I think that after the show, they do have counsellors and such to advise and help people who really want to try and fix their situation (maybe to get off drugs or whatever else the problems are).
We live in such a sad, tragic, broken world, it can be depressing.

To some degree, it's not a bad thing to be aware of the kind of examples given on the show. Some Christians are simply too shocked to watch much of it, but it really does represent and reflect what's going on in many households all around the country. I used to think it was purely exaggerated for TV, until I lived for a short while in a bad area. One thing that I really believe fuels these kind of examples are the UK soaps, Eastenders, Corrie etc. I see a LOT of people feed off the scandal, anger and volatile relationships from these awful shows.

I don't think that it reflects many families in the UK. Evidence for my suggestion is that Kyle has to bring the same people back on the show, again and again, under differing pretences and stupid situations, just to keep running.
And the more shocking that a person is, so the more need for the show to get that person back on stage.
Dreadful.....

He may well bring back the same people on the show, but I've certainly heard and seen enough in various parts of the country first hand that accurately reflect what's covered on the show. And these are people who are not doing it for 15 mins of airtime, which some of them actually do. My Sister knows someone who was on the show (and not in the audience !), and there was certainly a degree of it being considered an air-time opportunity. Sadly, the attention seeking will use ANY route, no matter how shameful to get on the box.
