Praying Joshua.

How far out have you cast the resume net? Meaning out of state or region? When job hunting there are three things we have to rank order:

1. Location
2. Pay
3. Job satisfaction

Most times we cannot have all three. We have to choose our priorities. If the net is cast out too short and there is no work within your home town or city, you may want to consider moving to at least get on the job experience. If you can't find the job you want (job satisfaction) perhaps consider a stepping stone job to get the experience on your resume. If you are just entering the job market in your field then waiting for the salary you desire is probably not going to happen unless you know someone who knows you well.

If you really need to stay local then maybe take one of those geek squad jobs to help pay bills in your last two months of school.

Then of course if you are so inclined the military is always looking for IT folks.

They also pay off student loans in a lot of cases and are always offering bonuses to skilled folks like you who have certifications. Pay not too shabby either. Free room and board too! :) But a lot of running and push ups!

Just a thought.

I'm already doing/thinking about those things.

In my State, these jobs are plentiful.

I've also already been in the Military...Air Force, in 2007, tried to get back in the Army a few years ago but they wouldn't take me...not a major desire of mine anymore.

Funny you mentioned that, I already obtained my CCNA back in 2014.

Been trying to get hired ever since.

I'm weary about SO many people knowing about Cisco and the CCNA these days, it's making me want to learn something else if need be.

There is no rhyme or reason for how long it takes.
Finding a bad job can be very fast and finding the
right job can take years, or decades. Often, just
one right person can help things go smooth, and
just one wrong person can get you fired. Your job
is a type of marriage, so don't settle.

I see. Something good is out there. If you can relocate, look for jobs in around Maxwell AFB in Alabama. There should be something there with a CCNA and Air Force service experience.

Father, I would pray for this young man to be open to Your will, Your guidance, Your provision, Your insight and understanding, Your wisdom, and what You would like their life to be like. I pray that he would consider his priorities, and what You might think of them. I pray that he would come into the way of living for You that would be a greater blessing than some other way of living he might choose for himself. Proverbs 3:5-6. Amen.
