How did you come to own it?

Do you still have it?

Mine was a Savage 22/410 over-and-under.

A family friend brought it with him when he came to visit, and stayed a couple of weeks. He left it behind and said he didn't want it back, so I wound up with it. I was 11 at the time.

I still have it; don't use it much though.

I, of course, received a Daisy BB gun when I was 7-years-old

My first "real" gun, however, was a single-shot .410 shotgun my grandfather bought me. I didn't receive it until after he died when I was 18-years-old. Why? My parents hated having guns in the house. I still have it, still shoot it and have kept it in great shape over the past three decades. It's not much fun to shoot as my 20-gauge pump shotgun, my .22 rifle or the slew of handguns I have, but I still pull it out from time to time.

Now, the 22/410 over-and-under is awesome. My wife just had the one she received as a young girl restored because she didn't care for it as she should have and the years weren't kind to it.

A Browning BL22 Grade II for my 12th birthday. Traded it in when I was in my 20's because it was flat worn out. I used to hunt jackrabbits with it in Southern Idaho and shot a brick of ammo through it every couple of weeks.

I hope to buy one for my grandson for his first .22 when he turns 12...

My uncle gave me a .22 Marlin rifle. I also inherited my grandfather's .410 break-action, but my dad gave that to his brother because he has some aversion to firearms as of late. Come to think of it, I should make sure he didn't sell my .22 or something.

Ruger Police Service Six .357 Magnum. Still have it to this day, and I'll never sell it.
My first handgun was a Ruger GP100 .357 magnum with a 6" barrel. I wish I'd never sold it -- that was a fantastic revolver and I could shoot the wings off a fly with that thing.

My first gun of my own was a Wichester 9422M. A lever action 22 mag. I got it for my 10th Birthday. It was between that and a 30/30 and I knew I would like the 22 better because it would kick less.

It was $110 dollars if I remember right. And now, geesh they're like 700 bucks or something like that. I'd like to replace it. I have a picture of me with it somewhere on my 'puter. If I can find it, I'll post it.

My big brother had a nylon 66 22 semi-auto and it was cool, but he took it apart to clean it and couldn't put it back together again, so he offered to trade it to me for my 22 mag...and like an idiot, I did it. Even if I did eventually figure out how to put it together, it was still a bad trade. And of course he got rid of it. :( Oh well. Live and learn.

My first pistol that I bought new for myself was a Colt 45 1911, a MKIV Series 80. A most wonderful pistol. My dad had a combat commander when we was young so I got to shoot that and really got good with it and liked it. But for some reason I was drawn to the longer 5" one when I went out to buy one at 21. My dad reloaded ammo too so, so did I. I went out and bought me an RCBS RC press and dad gave me his 225 grain RN mould and I was off and running. Still have it. Except years later I upgraded the mould to a 6 cavity mould, still 225 gr, and a Dillon 550 progressive reloader so I can mould them and load them much faster now. :)

I can load up a 50 round box of round-nose 45's for less than half what a 100 round box of CCI Mini-mags go for now. It takes about 2 bucks a box for 45's, because of the round nose lead boolits I shoot.

Glock 19 and I still have it. It went with me to the range this morning and it sits on my bed side table for protection. Loved it when I bought it, and still love it!

It was a shotgun - 20 gauge, I don't remember the specific brand. But, it ended up being sold at a gun show, to help pay for the Remington I have now. It's great for sport and home defense, but I eventually want to get a smaller barrel for it; not sure how much they run though.

I bought my son a Remington 20 ga when he was about 14 or so. It was an 870 Express Youth, and I went all out on it for him. I bought a cheek pad for it and a sidesaddle for extra rounds, and he wanted an extended mag tube like I had on my 12 ga 870. But they don't make them, but when I inquired about it at my gunsmith shop, he told me that he could make a custom extended mag tube for it and match the finish of the gun. I told him to make it as long as possible but about 1/2" back from the end of the (20") barrel so it wouldn't get flash burnt. He said he could do it for about 90 bucks iirc, so I siad go ahead and it turned out bad-a**ed! My son was ecstatic about it. It wound up holding 8+1 (slugs :) )
Here's a pic of it. That little SG had awesome lookin' wood on it.

Ooo, your 870 has real nice wood! I got lucky with mine, I found a Wingmaster in a pawnshop for $325, and told the guy, hey what's with that? I can go right over to Kmart and get an 870 brand new for $189...so he said, ok 189. So I bought it, A Wingmaster! But I scarred it up hunting one day. I was making my way down a frozen creek in the rocky mountains and my feet slipped out from under me and it went flying, skating down the frozen rocks, lol. It's funny now but wasn't then.

So I bought a police trade in barrel 18" with a bead for it and had both barrels and the gun anodized gun metal grey and then I camo'd the wood instead of refinishing it. Then added the sidesaddle and extended mag and all that and it was real versatile then. and totally weatherproof with that anodizing. No wait, not anodized...something else...real tough finish. Dang I forget the name of it right now. Brain fart, lol.

Aha! I remember! it was Powdercoated gun metal grey!

I always thought that multiple guns were overkill, my 1st and last was a basic home defense/carry Gatling Gun.

You're right Brother. Anything over 20 or so is just superfluous. Lol :)

Wow what happened there? Lol
That MK II has a 5.5" barrel. I guess I sorta entered the wrong pixel size or something lol. ^_^
its all squeezed together looking! I'm not too good at this stuff ^_^

What is the recommended size or max size for this site? or whatever. Like 680 X 980 or...whatever?
