I think people assume drug dealers are bad people but many live in poor neighborhoods and don't have any real opportunities to get a good paying job. It's hard to work like a slave for minimum wage when you can make 5 times as much selling drugs with the freedom to be your own boss. Drug dealers are self-employed sales people who would be selling legal products if they grew up in a middle class neighborhood with more opportunities.

A person starting an honest job at minimum wage has a much better chance to succeed than the average drug dealer.

One past acquaintance did it to pay for college and another as part-time income, as they already had a good job.

I've known white and black dealers, with varying incomes and households. Without skin color, they would not be discernible.

So what conclusion am I supposed arrive at, about white dealers being "different, generally speaking"?

When I buy my heroin, I always make sure to ask the dealer what he´s going to spend his profit on. And, of course, I only buy from whites.

People buy drugs to feed a habit or addiction. They are not motivated to ponder where the money goes.
