The Christian has absolutely no righteousness/ justification before God of observing the law, NONE. Their righteousness is faith in Christ.
The penalty for transgression of the law was paid by Christ for us.

Yes and that ministration of death is the law. Paul admits it's the law that kills in Romans 7.

If a person commits adultery they will specifically be conscious they committed sin because they committed the act of adultery. Same with stealing,coveting, taking the Lord's name in vain etc
