You didn't answer my question
This was the question, based on your quote of Jesus words.I answered you first question and posed a question to you that you have not responded to yet.
To answer you second question, the keeping of the law is is the sign that you love Jesus, it is the natural outgrowth of love for him, it is call obedience. Adam and Eve failed the test of obedience and were cast out of the garden.
The old and new covenants are the same law just written in different places, one is not higher than the other. The Jews did not comprehend the law ans the fullness of it that is why Jesus expounded on it.
Remember Jesus is the same today as he was yesterday and will be tomorrow he does not change.
1 John 3:15
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer:
Genesis 27:41
And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
Same issue NT and OT no change Just that the Jewish religious leaders did not understand the Gospel in the old testament.
This was the question, based on your quote of Jesus words.
If you do not strive to obey all of Jesus commands in the gospels, does that testify to the fact you do not love him?
You quoted:Sorry but I do not have the ability to read a persons heart only God can do that. So I can not answer your question. The thief on the cross that acknowledge Jesus as his savior did not strive to obey the commandments as he was a thief yet he is told that he will be in heaven. Judgment is the Lords only to execute.
Based on you question above are you only a NT Christian as you appear to be referencing the first four books of the NT (Gospels)?
I'm not expecting to get an answer lol.Stu
I am an old man and it is my bedtime will look forward to your reply in the morning.
God Bless you Brother
At least I answered your question. You did not answer mineStu

I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, and I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.I answered you first question and posed a question to you that you have not responded to yet.

None of the commands of Jesus have anything to do with the law. This was the question, based on your quote of Jesus words.
If you do not strive to obey all of Jesus commands in the gospels, does that testify to the fact you do not love him?
I know we disagree on the Seventh Day Sabbath but it is the seal of GOD as opposed to the mark of the beast which is Sunday worship that has its origin in paganism.
If you have another view of the seal of God please share it with me.
The thief was redeemed because Jesus said he would be with Him in paradise/heaven. You invalidate your argument.Sorry but I do not have the ability to read a persons heart only God can do that. So I can not answer your question. The thief on the cross that acknowledge Jesus as his savior did not strive to obey the commandments as he was a thief yet he is told that he will be in heaven. There's no other kind.Based on you question above are you only a NT Christian as you appear to be referencing the first four books of the NT (Gospels)?
NoStu
Sorry it was not a question but a request that I asked you to respond to.
The mark of the beast only becomes when Sunday worship is enforced and Gods people have to make a choice.
Please share your opinion on the seal of God with me.
I did answer your second question but you do not appear to like the answer, please tell me the answer you are looking for.
Please curtail you use of LOL Your use of it is not what JWD as it appears to belittle others
The core foundation upon which the NC stands is as follows:
This is the covenant I will make with them after that time says the Lord
I will write my laws in their minds
And place them on their hearts
I have to assume, from what you wrote, you believe Jesus teaching not to be as important as OT commands
Anything that gives me consciousness I sin by that which I do, is transgressing law in my mind and heart. For:Question for you what laws are refereed to in the above statement?
That isn't what your church teaches.Stu
