I'm a 17 year old Christian girl, going to a Christian college. So Wednesday a guy at college approached me, we talked for like 2 mins and he then asked for my number. I thought he was nice and cute but I don't give out my number to people I don't know so I gave him my social media instead and said we could text on there to get to know each other. He didn't text me. Fast forward to the next night (Thursday), he still didn't text me so I texted him with "Hey _____! What's up?" We ended up texting back and forth for 3 hours till he had to go to bed and he said "Goodnight! I'll hit you up tomorrow." He didn't. He didn't text me at all. That would've been Friday (yesterday). So now it's Saturday 1pm and he still hasn't texted me. Am I being impatient? Does he not like me? I don't want to have to text him first AGAIN cause I feel like that would sound desperate but I really enjoyed talking with him... He's a really sweet guy. What do you guys think?

If he is interested in you he will make the effort to contact you.
Forget him.

Hey sis :) Let's see..
From a Christian perspective, if a guy is interested in a lady, he needs to have a purpose for his conversation and actually follow through on what he says. You shouldn't feel confused or led on in any way, hence the purpose of the entire interaction. It seems though the purpose is to simply to get to know each other. I think it's best not to contact him though. If he said he will contact you back, he will make sure to do so which shows interest on his part. I'd say just wait it out and see how long it takes him to remember. I personally wouldn't be bothered with a guy, with the purposes of getting to know someone of the opposite sex, who didn't follow through on what they said they would do- just that's my opinion though.

I would say he isn't that into you. If he was, he would want to be speaking to you as often as possible. I think that is clear as day. So, what is his motive? Also, sending texts with smiley faces and such, hardly tells what a man's character is like. Be careful how you form your opinion of him.

Just because he goes to a so-called "Christian college" doesn't make him a Christian. Have you discussed his beliefs with him? You don't want to be going getting feelings for someone if they aren't a Christian.

My advise would be to take your foot off the peddle, don't go running in head first. If he does message back, find out what his beliefs are and take it from there.

College is a playground for a lot of young people, for a Christian, it is a battleground. Keep your guard up.

Ok so I took yalls advice and didn't text him. He didn't text me either. There was a pretty awkward silence for days. This morning however, I saw him in person and he came over and said hey, and since we both had an hour before classes he asked to sit with me, alone. I was like "aight" and we sat on a bench chatting for an hour. I ended up giving him my number I really like him so far, I'll just continue to get to know him and ask God to guide me.

He's just a really sweet guy. We get along well. We have chemistry. He told me that he's pretty shy with being the first contact during text, and prefers talking in person anyways. I spent time with him last night and this morning too. I really like him. He's pretty quiet though... Convos can seem a little forced at times. We will see what happens.
