Living on nothing.

I was just wondering if anyone has had experience on living off next to nothing? Possibly living in a tent or something, Jesus didn't have luxuries and so forth, so wanted to follow his footsteps. Anyone think this would be good?

It doesn't sound good. I've done it but was somewhat prepared for it because I had camping equipment. I did live in Colorado for almost 30 years, but the kids grew up and the wife jumped ship. Then God told me to move back to my home town where my family is and leave my business to one of my sons. I landed at my brother and daughters place and everything was ok until the (bipolar) girl went off her meds and freaked out, then kicked everyone out. Her hubby, her dad and me. So suddenly I was sleeping in my truck.

It lasted two months before I got together enough to go get a place, but it wasn't really all that bad because I was somewhat prepared. I don't think it was good, but didn't lose faith.

Sorry to hear you had a rough time back then, I am glad things are back on track now. I don't know just find money, and dealing with it so stressful and houses and bills too much for my small mind. Thought it would be a bit more exciting than that.

Living off next to nothing doesnt mean you are a Rambo with Rambo knife surviving in the jungle.

Well, if you ever became a poor labour who sell their muscle for cheap payment to buy food only, you will see hundred millions of them are living next to nothing.

its better if you become a rich billionaire who is able to help thousands of people in need.

Well, when I said living on nothing, I didn't mean in an extreme sense of third world poverty, or terrorizing a forest as Rambo, I meant generally living off the land, or having very basic needs: i.e what the first responder was talking about, tents or living in a truck.

You would make Jesus more happy insteed of living in tent trying to be self righteous , if you humble yourself and just live your life with thanks to God that you don't have to struggle .

If you feel guilty of that you have too much there is always option to donate to poor kids in Ethiopia using any of non-profit organisations i personally use save the children . Go buy them a sheep or goat and they will mail picture to you countaining that animal and family you gave it to .

You need a good shelter to keep your health, otherwise how can you live healthy and make a living if you live in a tent like these people ?:

Those poor people are neglected by their government and by the Richs.

Better to be rich but not greedy with your money so you can share your money for other people too.
