I'm having a hard time listening to God. Some say you hear Him from you heart. But my sister hears voices from the brain. So, How can I help her too?

I've never audibly "heard" God. I "hear" Him in His Word, as assisted by His precious Holy Spirit, Who, as it is written, "teaches us all things". And this verse brings that point home for me in a most delightful way:

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." ~Jeremiah 33:3

We "call" unto God when we delve into His Word, and He "answers" us, and shows us great and mighty things.

How delightful is THAT??!!

God bless you as you seek Him with all your heart, for it is written that when we seek Him with all of our heart, that He WILL be found:

"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." ~Jeremiah 29:13

I seldom do. Sometimes I get ideas from nowhere that turns out to be incredibly useful in spiritual matters....Maybe that's God or the Holy Spirit.

There could be an underlying problem blocking you from hearing Him clearly. Satan could be trying to block you as well as he is the prince and power of the air. (Ephesians 2:2) You can pray and ask God to cleanse anything out of you from something eaten, repair anything in you that was damaged or remove anything in your life that is blocking your ability to hear Him completely. The pollution in certain foods and the water supply causes some of our internal organs from properly functioning clogging them up and prevents us from hearing Him clearly. Aluminum, fluoride, sodium nitrates, corrosive preservatives such as TSP in cereal are just a few. Certain commercials, secular music, television shows and movies have subliminal frequencies and messages that will clog up your receptor also. (Psalm 101:3, Matthew 6:22-23) It's why God told us to eat specific things, be careful of what we see and wear certain materials of clothing. It could also be an underlying / unknown self-sin or ancestral/generational sin/curse. (This part requires a more in-depth discussion)

Static electricity will hinder communication from Him such as using plastic and metal combs or brushes (do not use boar bristle ever). Try wooden brushes and combs as they produce the least amount of static. Certain clothing that causes more static electricity will block it also. Linen was suggested to Levite priests because they do not cause static electricity and have different properties no other material has. Cutting our hair too short will also do the same as it's part of our nervous system.

We also have to repent of anything done that day and cover ourselves with the Blood of Jesus before entering into His presence. If your sister can hear him from the brain, it's possible she has a prophetic gift and calling on her life. Sometimes feeding upon the word more / reading the Bible will unclog it also as it builds up your Spirit. Having more devotional time spent with God works also as there is really no limit. The more you draw near, the more He wants to be with you. (James 4:8)

Everyone has the ability to hear Him as long as they come to Him. (John 10:27) Those with special callings can hear from Him at birth. He does speak in different ways to everyone to prevent the enemy from intercepting messages so don't be discouraged and continue trying, praying and persevering.

Also try Psalms 100, 149 and 150, through song, praise and worship as well. Singing these three will help as they are part of open heaven prayers.

God said to give you Malachi 3. He didn't specify which verses so just ask Him to speak to you from what you find in the chapter.

As a minister, I find that when I hear from God it is when he Lays something on my heart or into my mind. For instance, when I am seeking Him for a Sunday sermon, sometimes a scripture or title for a sermon will pop into my mind, or I will feel to go in a certain Direction. Similarly, I will feel to pray for certain people and things like that throughout the week. Although I have never heard an audible voice, I have had dreams where God has spoken to me, and these dreams were always accurate and helpful for my situations. If we invite God to speak to us, He will, and it is different for every person. As someone has already mentioned above, He will also speak to us through His word. The key for us as Christians is to listen and learn to hear His voice. God bless you.

You cAn hear God through to Holy Spirit.
But you must first seek Him by praying, just have a little talk with Jesus. Also read the Bible begin with the New Testament.

If your sister is hearing voices from the brain,
she might probably need spiritual healing.
With other words deliverance. Did she had any contact with the occult?

In the history of man, God has spoken directly to only a handful of people, so I'm not sure how you have the expectation that He is going to speak to you, other than from through His written word.

God speaks to us through His word (scripture) and through the world around us (creation).

Yes, through His Holy Word, the Bible and you know through the Comforter. This is our Guide.
The Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit reveals all things to us, that God wants to reveal to us.
God has poured out His Spirit upon those who gather together in one accord in His name. In the books of Acts you will read about how Holy Spirit felt upon His disciples.
Further, in the books of Joël the Lord says He will poured out His Spirit on all men. The young men will see visions, the old men will have dreams. (I am a dreamer)

I don't see God speaking to us through the world around us. What I see is His prophecy is being fulfilled through the world around us.

I do feel God's presence and then He works on me. Like He's killing evil that's in me. I do feel like there is evil beings that live in my body that likes to imitate God's Holy Spirit. So, God works over time to get them and be bigger then them. Which He does, He puts in another Holy Spirit in there in me. I haven't felt the Holy Spirit. But only when I'm angry.

My Bible tells me that the Holy Spirit is an adocate.

I'm trying to explain my testimony without making a riot or anyone upset. And start to get me wrong.

God talks to me with the spirit that feels like a peppermint. I think it's because I have a problem with the evil spirits that possess over me. They want my death in a horror-ish way. I pick the peppermint feeling spirit because it heals. And it feels like the Holy Spirit.

For some reason He works different with me. He doesn't speak in dreams. But He uses the peppermint feelings that I asked Him to use as a yes, He doesn't if it's a no. Then He works with that spirit to work on me like Jesus says about the Holy Spirit. My mind and spirit is glued to the promise of the Holy Spirit scriptures. I'm so ready for the next steps. To hear His voice and do what He commands. But there is so many evil in me it's ridiculous.

I wish I have some pastor to help me with this. Then someone judge me and label sins on me. I have better things to do. If someone starts to label sins, or tell me the peppermint feeling is satan. I don't have time for that.

She doesn't know. All she remembers she was attacked by some ghost that followed her home. But she does have a mental illness. So, I don't want to confuse her and scare her more.

She is trying so hard to get better and get closer to God. But these voices in her brain tells her there Jesus and God or sometimes Satan and they talk about her fate and try to kill her. But she is going through the stage in christianity that God works on you so He can move in the Holy Spirit or the Holy Spirit is moving in. I don't know what the definition. I don't have a dictionary. So, I can't tell you what steps me and my twin sister is in. But I know we are in the good steps of going to Heaven.

For New Testament believers, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" John 10:27

Might want to read Frequency, Dr Robert Morris.

So, Jesus is talking about literal *audible* hearing here?
