1 Cor 15:1-4 is the correct one , Romans 10:9-13 can be used too but people quoting this verse put everything on confessing with your mouth , and forgot that it's written here believe from your hearth aswell.

You can say that Lord Jesus Christ is God but you can be still lost . Even devils know that Jesus is God but they are not saved . James 2:19

Moreover not everybody who say that Jesus is God is saved , by just speaking about him you don't get saved you need to believe from hearth and accept him as free gift .

Looks who is speaking these words , these people were probably preachers or teachers because they knew how to fight against devils and they were preaching , but they probably were preaching some kind of prosperity gospel or were selling prophecy packages for 99$ and were thinking that they did many wonderful works for him .

I've heard people interpret Romans 10:9,10 as if we believe today but are still lost then confess next week and are finally saved next week, which is false.

I understand confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, not as two separate steps to salvation but chronologically together. Romans 10:8 - But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart" (together) that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, (notice the reverse order from verse 9-10) - that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Confess/believe; believe/confess.

1 Corinthians 12:3 - Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except BY the Holy Spirit. There is divine influence or direct operation of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a person when confessing Jesus as Lord. This confession is not just a simple acknowledgment that Jesus is the Lord (even the demons believe that), but is a deep personal conviction, without reservation, that Jesus is that person's Lord and Savior. So simply believing in our head (and not in our heart) that God raised Him from the dead does not result in righteousness and simply giving lip service to the words "Jesus is Lord" not by the Holy Spirit is not unto salvation.

Amen! The word "believe" can describe mere mental assent belief, as in James 2:19, or also include "trust and reliance" in Christ for salvation, as in Acts 16:31. In James 2:19, the demons believe "mental assent" that "there is one God" but they do not believe/entrust their spiritual well being to Christ; have faith/reliance upon Christ for salvation. Their trust and reliance is in Satan, as demonstrated by their rebellion in heaven and continuous evil works.

Amen! Jesus NEVER knew these unbelievers who were trusting in their works for salvation.

The Greek word for ransom is used 19 times in the Septuagint, it is used in the context of the redemption of the firstborn (Numbers 3:12; 18:15-16) and of a forfeit life (Exodus 21:30; 30:12). This latter instance is related to the notion of giving as recompense 'life for life' (Leviticus 24:18 and Deuteronomy 19:21). We should note especially that it is used in connection with freeing slaves (Leviticus 19:20; 25:51-52) and redeeming land (Leviticus 25:26).

Ransom from what? I believe Mark concludes that Jesus' death would be the ransom from God's wrath we all deserve as guilty sinners.

The gospel is the entire Bible.

To learn the Gospel truth in revealing God, one must be willing to read the New Testament prayerfully to hear God speaking to one, and not just taking a verse and begin reasoning about it. Trust and faith and obedience to God and by His Word is essential to knowing God ---and that must be through His "...beloved Son". The overall reading of John 14 will give a full overview of salvation of our soul and a heavenly relationship with God ---IF one is willing to believe it.

I often urge seekers to first read all of John 1, John 3; and all of the Gospels and the Epistle to Romans in the New Testament to see redemption truth. One of the most clear statements in summary for salvation is 1 Jn. 5:10-12. Serious seekers can then begin reading daily in the rest of the Bible

Yes. That doesn't mean that Act 20:24 or Paul are wrong. But Jesus used the term gospel in a specific way, summarized well by post 7. For him the Gospel was that he was bringing the Kingdom of God. He connected it with the OT, in saying "the time is fulfilled," because the prophets had all talked about a time in the future when God would establish his rule. That's what kingdom means. For Jesus, the kingdom is both present and future. In Mat 5, for example, he teaches how we live in the kingdom now. He speaks of giving up everything to enter it. Yet it's the seed growing secretly, because it's not currently God's rule over the entire earth. He spoke of a time in the future when it would be established fully.

Paul speaks of the Kingdom in similar terms. He also speaks of good news and Gospel. But for him the Gospel seems to be more about proclaiming Christ than the Kingdom. Obviously these things are closely related, since in the Gospels Jesus is clear that his mission is to bring the Kingdom. But it still leads to a somewhat different focus, on salvation through Christ more than on the coming of the Kingdom.

To me, the gospel does not speak of a religion about Jesus but rather to proclaims the religion of Jesus. I love the following:

Yes, Micah 6:6-8 is a good thought to show a right spirit; and it was all they had then with their religion, for the Christ had not yet come, who the saints now know and can possess in that same right spirit walking with the Lord.
