ALERT!! President Donald Trump has issued an Executive Order temporarily blotting out the sun as a sign for all Americans to repent and Make America Great Again! A swath of the continental US is being darkened this afternoon from the Used to be Great Northwest to the "Good old Southeast". This is your warning, people. Get on board or get run over.
Mr. Trump will cap off this day of fear and Greatness with a nationwide address this evening on the really quick fix for the War in Afghanistan.
An attempt by Satanic Democrats to get an injunction to block this great, terrific event was halted when Judge Judy issued a No Way, Buster order.

You joke, but I've seen at least one article associate it with racism and another a couple of weeks back whined about it going over states that voted for Trump.

Did I say I was joking. This man has the highest IQ, biggest crowds, most Twitter followers and is going to Yuge Heaven when he decides to buy the hereafter. He is Trump! Heel, mortal losers!

You're right..I can't get through to most of those articles.

But if I could, they would show that the Clintons had "lined their pockets with cash" from the funds raised for the Haitian earthquake, would they...?

I have joined two Democratic groups--our County Democrats and Democratic Women. I have donated to progressive causes. I am going to work on Congressional and local campaigns in 2018. I send out several Resistbot faxes a week to our Congressman and Senators and Governor. I sometimes go to postcard parties where we write postcards to our national representatives.

I attended a town meeting of a Senator (with 2200 other people) and a Congressman (attended by several hundred). I have witnessed for different priorities---healthcare, an end to racism, etc. Went to the March for Science.

It's been a lot, but the future of our world is at stake. I was born right before the Korean War began, and I can't remember any other time in my life when our country was in greater danger, because, even when I disagreed with a President, I felt he had a certain minimal level of competence which does not exist in our current President.

The best way to immobilize him, should he not be impeached or removed by the 25th Amendment, is to regain one of the houses of Congress in 2018. That is my short term goal.

Since Almighty YHWH puts whoever He wants in leadership positions, I would be careful to speak of "surviving" Trump's presidency. In reality, you are suggesting we are surviving YHWH's choice. The best thing we could all do is to pray for Trump that YHWH will direct his heart to do His will.

Has every American president been YHWH's choice? President Obama? President Clinton? President Jimmy Carter (the most saintly human being ever to hold the office of President, still inspiring and astonishing the world at age 91)?

God didn't endorse anyone in the 2016 election, and anything you may have heard from evangelical or other preachers was only their personal opinion.

If my pastor had endorsed a candidate (and he didn't) I would have made my own assessment of the candidate's character and platform, and then compared it against the opposing candidates' character and platform.

I would have excluded President Trump from consideration immediately due to serious defects of character and competency, and, had my pastor endorsed him, it would have decreased my faith and trust in his ability to be my spiritual leader.

The Almighty set up kings, presidents, dictators, etc.

Daniel 2:20-21 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are His: And He changes the times and the seasons: He removes kings, and sets up kings: He gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Daniel 4:17 . . . to the intent that the living may know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever He will, and sets up over it the basest of men.

God didn't endorse anyone in the 2016 election, and anything you may have heard from evangelical or other preachers was only their personal opinion.
God doesn’t “endorse” the leaders He sets up. They are put in office to accomplish His will whether they are men of good or bad character. Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, was put in office by YHWH, but he was not of pristine character. Israel had several evil kings ruling over them. Each one was given his throne by YHWH.

If my pastor had endorsed a candidate (and he didn't) I would have made my own assessment of the candidate's character and platform, and then compared it against the opposing candidates' character and platform.
So fallible human beings become the judge of other fallible human beings to determine which is the better of the two fallible human beings (Trump or Clinton).

You, as a Bible believer, should not even be voting. Let YHWH's will be done, not yours. If the Almighty "endorsed" Trump, but you didn't, then you are fighting against His will. If He "endorsed" Clinton and you voted for someone else, then you were voting against His will.

If a Holocaust survivor comes to speak in your area, would you go, look them in the eyes, and tell them that they shouldn't talk in terms of surviving a leader because the Divine put them in charge?

It is possible, given your theory, that Trump was put in place in order to inspire a peaceful revolution dedicated to social justice and equality. God encouraged leaders like Ghandi and Nelson Mandela to change their societies and eliminate colonialism and apartheid.

God encourages prayerful discernment. I don't think many voters were discerning in their votes, although part of the problem lies with the manipulative and misleading campaign ads after the disastrous Citizens United decision.

You, of all people, being a Jew, should know that the Divine raised up several foreign rulers to bring His judgment upon Israel for all their sins (the kings of Babylon and Rome among others). We are not specifically told in Scripture the Holocaust was a similar judgment, but we are told the Almighty would continue to judge Israel, even in the latter days (now), because of their sins (Deuteronomy 4:30; Deuteronomy 31:29). We are in the latter days as I write. If you haven't already heeded His message, do not delay. Return to Him and He will not forsake you.

Should Hitler have been opposed.

Should Hitler have been opposed.
Interesting question. If the Jews opposed him, they would be killed anyway, especially since they had no means of opposing him. So, that raises the question, should other nations have opposed him? That leads to still another question, should the other nations have opposed Babylon or Rome to come to the aid of Israel? Morally, yes. However, since the Almighty was bringing judgment upon Israel for their sins, He may also have put it on the hearts of the leaders of those other nations to not come to Israel's aid. As for the Holocaust, if the Almighty did not close the doors for other nations to come to the aid of the Jews, then they should have come to their aid and opposed Hitler.

If God wanted to make puppets instead of people he would have. Instead he gave them free will.

We can choose good--opposing would be dictators who do not serve the common good--or waiting it out.

I choose goid, as do the religious people I respect.

I assume this post is directed to me. If you read my last post, you would see that I did not suggest "waiting it out". However, as with anything else we do, if the door is not open, then perhaps we should not do it. The Almighty did not give us free will so that we could oppose His will. He gave us free will in the hope that we would choose the good. Opposing His will is choosing to do bad. Yes, we should oppose would be dictators, but not if they are being used by the Almighty to bring His judgment upon a people. That is not to imply He used Hitler to judge the Jews via the Holocaust.

The idea that God is using Trump to bring judgment on the people is promoted by TV evangelists...

In Rome, this year, Archbishop Oscar Romero will be canonized a saint for being martyred by Salvadorian soldiers for opposing the brutal dictatorship there.

Then of course, there's St. Joan of Arc.

St. Thomas More, for admonishing the English king for his sins.

The list of Catholic saints opposing unjust rulers could fill a book.

They are my role models--and when a TV evangelist says something, I'm not going to take that as gospel truth.

Possibly, but I did not promote that idea.

Canonization is an unscriptural tradition of the Roman Catholic Church. The Bible teaches that all believers in Messiah Yeshua are sanctified saints. We don't need the RCC to make us one.

The list of Catholic saints opposing unjust rulers could fill a book.

They are my role models--and when a TV evangelist says something, I'm not going to take that as gospel truth.
The list of unjust Catholic rulers can also fill a book. They are not my role models and bring reproach upon Messiah Yeshua and the true church.

One of the pastors I listen to online once quipped "For those who don't believe that God judges nations, just look at the choice in the general election."
