I am just so confused. I've read Revelation. Now I'm studying it. It's taken me a couple of months of daily study to get to chapter 6 and it's here that we encounter the Antichrist. I was surprised that the guy on the white horse that showed up when the first seal is broken is NOT Christ. The first time I read Revelation I just assumed that it was. Now that I'm reading again I can see that it's clear that he is the Antichrist.

Fine

So suddenly I get to thinking, there are 3 terrifying creatures in the book. There is the Antichrist, who I assume will be the political leader. Then there is the False Prophet that I thought would be the leader of the one world religion and finally the Beast. I never understood WHAT the Beast was except a terrifying creature.

Now I'm thinking, could they all be the same person (creature)? Like in small towns sometimes a shopkeeper might also be the mayor?

So apparently I just don't understand. Could somebody shed some light on this and please bear in mind that I haven't been a Christian for a long time so my understanding of the Bible is not as deep and profound as your's might be.

I've read the entirety of the Bible but now I'm going back for depth.

Thank you in advance

If you are a new Christian, leave revelation alone and study the gospels or Puls letters.
Revelation is very confusing, it is made up of word pictures showing things that have happened, are happening and are going to happen. Unfortunately there is no easy way to work out which is what.
Learn about Christianity, study theology, research the accuracy of the bible etc and believe that Jesus will one day return and that we will join him.

anti-christ is not half devil half human with 6 horns , antichrist is person who wants to replace Christ .
antichrist will do everything that would Christ do so people get deceived and follow him.

Also antichrist has bow with no arrows , christ don't need bow he has double edge sword - his Word .

Satan wants to replace God the Father
anticrhist wants to replace Christ
and false prophet wants to replace Holy Spirit
You can call them unholy trinity .

false prophet is most likelly pope ( atholics gonna stone me to death right now )
antichrist will be person who satan give his power and will dwell inside him , he is called Beast
and Satan will rule world for 7 years through antichrist.

If you want help with studying book of Revelation you can check out this video , that guy is prophecy teacher for 20 years or so .

don't worry about it - many here are confused about it but either don't know it or just won't admit it - keep studying it and keep asking questions - I have been doing it for over 20 years - I am an historicist and believe about 90% of it is already history - I will answer some of your questions in the my next post

Strictly speaking There is no 'antichrist'. The beast is a conglomerate of 7 nations ,the leader of which has a mortal head wound ( the worthless shepherd of Zechariah 11 whose eye is blinded).

the antichrist denies the Father and the Son -
that is what the bible says

I don't know what your bible says but mine says that he desolate temple and proclaim himself God .

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

john is the only one who mentions the antichrist - you may be assuming the one paul is talking about is the antichrist and you have no reason to do so

It isn't history. It is yet to come.

As was already mentioned it probably isn't the best thing to devote a huge amount of time to if you are a new Christian. Revelation is also an index of sorts of the end times. The details and the majority of the story comes from what is referenced in the old testament.

The antichrist is likely to be a human ruler that is possessed by satan that will invade Israel and persecute the Jewish people and Christians.

The beast is most likely the kingdom that he rules over.

The false prophet is someone who supports the antichrist and his beast kingdom.

My personal view is that the beast system will be a revived ottoman empire from asia minor, into the middle east, and north africa headed by the muslim mahdi. The false prophet is the muslim prophet jesus that will speak blasphemy against the true Jesus.

However there are others that are expecting a revived roman empire, an iluminati new world order, or a whole host of other things.

Jesus himself talking about antichrists Matthew 24:4-5

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

the false prophet is the antichrist and the beast that he created is with us today taking peace from the earth

Nope the false prophet is pope of Vatican , you can find that vatican harlot in Revelation 17

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

And she is sitting in city on 7 mountains - Rome

And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

I am Protestant and take issue with many traditions and practices of the Catholic church.

With that being said

I would be shocked if mystery babylon was the Vatican or the Catholic church.

I would be shocked if the beast empire was a revived Roman empire or the European union.

I would be shocked if the Pope was the antichrist.

However, I also have sense enough to watch what is happening in the world and IF this is what happens then I will be shocked and adjust my thinking.

john, the only one to use the word, defines antichrist as one who denies the Father and the Son -and- that cannot be the pope for any rational christian thinker -
key word is thinker
