Without a doubt, if a Catholic believes in Jesus as his or her Savior, he or she will definitely go to Heaven and spend eternity with God
But not if they continue to sin or live an evil life.
Thank you for your replies.
Mr. Goatee (I am assuming this person is he, if wrong, please forgive me) has brought up a point I never thought of.
I know many ministries and pastors have committed unspeakable crimes, such as rapes and abuses. I am not saying Catholic priests didn't do it either. If those Christians who believe in Jesus as their savior but still commits crimes even after they believed in Jesus, do they still go to Heaven?
For an extreme case, if a devout Christian kills many many people even after he/she accepted Jesus as his/her savior and this killer repents and asks for forgiveness to Jesus, does this person go to Heaven?
I know you (any one who would answer this) are not Jesus or the God or have been to the Heaven, but what are your thoughts on this? I am just curious. I have never thought of it that way before.
HRDJ, yes....the Catholic Church really teaches that non-believers who do good things can go to Heaven
I respectfully disagree with Catholic teaching....only people who have a relationship with Jesus Christ will go to Heaven.
HRDJ, Muslims DO NOT worship the same God as Christians.
Allah, the god of the Muslims, is NOT the one true God that Christians worship
Yes, I agree with you on the Muslim part, but if you could, can you tell me why you think Muslim does not worship the same God? I read some history books about religions and it said the Muhammad got words from Gabriel, the angel, and the Muslim book (Quran?) also talks about Jesus and the Adam and Eve.....I know they shouldn't believe Muhammad as the messiah or anything important, but what would be your reason for saying it? It seems to me that you know a lot about Christianity, so if you could share, that would be great.
