like, having hatred in your heart for someone or.. extreme anger..
I only noticed this now.. that whenever i feel hate, i get sick. badly.
i also get sick if i lie, have sinful thoughts about men, or get vain about my looks. but not as much as when i hate others..

i am very sinful already so why is this happening to me?
especially now?

i am human so i CANT stop committing sins, its against my sinful nature. How could God punish me for something like this?

Hi ForsakenGirl (not that you are forsaken),

God does "chastise" His children, but you can and should have peace in Him. He will never leave you or forsake you. Jesus never fails, He has not failed, even when we do.

Have you spent time in prayer lately?

You may identify with Paul's words here:

1 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. -Romans 7:7-25

Your sin may not be the real problem.
May I suggest something?
When you commit sin, in thought, word or deed. Try looking to Jesus, and thanking him for dying for your sins.
You may be surprised at how much better you feel, and you might even find, you start to sin less
God bless

Please spend time in prayer, and in reading the Bible. Paul's epistles can be a wonderful encouragement. Also Hebrews, which emphasizes how we are saved and rest in Christ by faith.

Rom7:7-11 is the key to understanding so much. Paul is speaking of the result of him making a commitment to God as a young pharisee.
It is tragic, that many who go to church today, find sin manifests in them, for in reality, they try to attain heaven as Saul the pharisee tried to attain it. I know I did in my youth

Pauls message defies human logic.
Believe you cannot be justified before God by not committing sin, and sin shall not be your master.
I know it's not easy, but try concentrating on Jesus sacrifice for you as much as possible.
He died because you cannot be good enough, none of us can be.

This verse may help:
For by one sacrifice he made FOREVER PERFECT, those who are BEING made Holy
Heb10:14

If you are BEING made Holy you are not perfect are you. If you were perfect you would already be perfectly Holy, you wouldn't be being made holy
But though you are imperfect, God sees you as perfect in his sight, for he sees the sacrifice his Son made for you, not your imperfections

Hi. Since I have not seen you here before, welcome to the forums.

First off - let me assure you that you are NOT forsaken. Our Lord said very directly: "I will never leave you or forsake you."

Second, your sin nature has already died (when you repented of your sins) and was buried away (when you were baptized). Do we still sin? Yes, but it is for other reasons than our sin nature. Part of it is habit. Part is that our minds need to be renewed in many areas and that is an ongoing step by step process that takes a lifetime.

And third - I suspect what you are feeling is actually condemnation from the devil. Condemnation can manifest as an empty feeling in the pit of your gut, bordering on nausea. It is NOT real. Paul wrote" "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."

Even if you did sin, confess it, repent from it, ask for God's cleansing IMMEDIATELY; and then you can tell the devil where to take his condemnation junk.

If there is an area that keeps cropping up, (like you mentioned hatred) find a mature believer or christian counselor and find out WHY you keep struggling in that area. Then prayerfully find a way to leave that behind. (part of the renewing of your mind)

God has promisedthat we shall be saved from the Eternal punishment for our sins in the eternal Lake of fire...
But God did not promise that we would escape the consequences of our sinning on this earth..

Well all to some extent suffer consequences for the sins we commit on earth..

And also God disaplines those whom He loves..

Proverbs 3:KJV
11 "¶ My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: {12} For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth."

Humility helps me to let go of anger, hate and resentment. Realizing who I have been, realizing it is forgiven helps me to not judge, begrudge or keep anger towards others. It is hard, hard struggle for me though. In and of my own, I can not do it. So I don't try to. I ask for help. A Lot.

Matthew 18:23-35

In addition, prayers. I have personal time but I also use a prayerbook. Lately I have been listening to them and praying along with them, and this prayer time helps me to let go and commune. It gets me out of myself.

These are from my tradition that I have been listening to lately, but if you look you can find many others.

Audiobooks of the bible too - you can't go wrong just closing your eyes and listening to the gospels. I recommend John.

King James Audio Bible Online

Resentment towards others and sin in general does sicken us. But 'you are what you eat'. So feed your spirit good things.

I don't look at it as punishment at all. Quite the contrary, He is drawing you. Sin not only is an offense against God, it is bad for us. Our Maker knows what is good for us, and has proscribed the things that are contrary to our best interests. We call those things sin.

When we sin, we set our consciences against us, and we are divided. We lose our wholeness and integrity. Negative feelings such as hatred, bitterness and unforgiveness are like dashboard warning lights, designed to tell us something is amiss and needs attention. These things have a very real effect on our bodies, as even science affirms.

God is love. He proved that on the Cross. 2Cor 5.19 tells us "God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them." And He isn't going to start doing so now. He loves you, and He only wants you to come to Him for forgiveness. He is above all and has full authority to forgive. Christ has purchased that right at the Cross.

Galatians 2 tells us that the law is the tutor that leads men to Christ. When you feel pangs of conscience, or the effects of sin on your body, it is a message that you need forgiveness and cleansing. You can fight it in your own strength, but no good will come of it. You need the pronouncement of being in Christ, under the Blood, set free from sin and death.

In your own strength, you can't stop sinning. But if you are in Christ you are under grace, not law. And scripture promises:

For sin will not have dominion over you, because you are not under law but under grace. -Rom 6:14
And:
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -1John 1:9

You have to understand that everyone commits sins. No one on this Earth is perfect. The more attached you get to God, the more it can feel like you feel more guilty about the sin committed.

However, it should be quite the opposite. Worldly quotes say: "Put the past behind you." "Keep your eyes on what's ahead of the road." And actually these are absolutely true. God says guilt is a sin. Guilt should be something you put away because you are a Christian and He forgets and forgives them all.

I heard something interesting from my pastor one time and he said this: "If you have a sin such as inappropriate contentography, alcohol or an addiction to something, continue to do it. If you have put all your efforts in trying to stop it then God obviously isn't allowing you to quit yet. Rather continue to do the sin and let that be the very thing that turns you to God and completely surrender your all to him.

I am still trying to figure this out for myself also. It seems hard to completely surrender everything to him. I have definitely moved past feeling guilty for the sins I have committed because He knows that I am trying to just live through Him, and I feel confident that He has forgiven me. Continue to pray to Him about the sin and don't let guilt be the very thing that separates you from God, as what happened to me before.

Keep your eyes on God, live through Him, pray through the Holy Spirit, completely do everything for Him and you will find peace.

Build on the sin, let it be the thing that makes you turn to God. If you need more info just inbox me about this.

You CAN stop sinning. When you're under His control and transformed by His Spirit. God wants to give you a new nature that is free from the power of your sinful, fleshly, carnal Self. If you refuse what He offers to you, then all that remains is His wrath and judgment. What will you choose?
