This conversation is traveling like one at a dinner table, nothing wrong with that-Incense was just mentioned~ what is though of incense~do you think The Lord might Like, not Notice, or smile at our sending our prayers during worship with the scent of Frankincense as was brought to him in the stable.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say taking heroin is bad.
Not all truth is in the Bible.
Nobody worships saints.
1 Corinthians 6:19King James Version (KJV)

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Unless of course you take this verse and understand that any type of self inflicted harm to your body would then be hurting the temple of God.

I think that it is pretty evident that any type of activity that is harmful to the body is not biblical. Not only that but anything that removes you from the clear state of mind that allows you to lose inhibitions and commit acts that are sinful.

We are also commanded to follow the laws of the land we live in unless they contradict the scriptures and commands of God.

On many accounts... heroin is definitely not an activity sanctioned by the scriptures.

Thanks for cherry picking and proving my point.
Cherry picking?

Is that not where you take a bit of text and leave out parts that would contradict the point you are trying to make.

This is not cherry picking here. This is simple and directly quoting of the word of God to make a point.

Do we need to post the entire chapter? Book? Testament? Just how much would indicate "NOT" cherry picking.

I see that people use this "cherry picking" insult when they have just been shot down out of the sky, crashed and burned with no parachute.

Those who keep parts of corpses of "saints" and kiss them and pray to them, clearly worship them in the most direct sense of the word.

I have to admit, that's one of the absolute creepiest things about my former denomination. Seems a little Ed Gein-ish to me.

It' all over the 72 books, though. Psalms 141:2, for example, shows the prayers as incense, and Revelation several places shows that the saints in heaven take that prayer-as-incense-to God.
As I have posted before... they are not receiving prayers to themselves, addressed to them, or anything else. They are simply taking the prayers, that are addressed to Christ, to Christ....

I once read some Catholics talking about how when Christ was on the cross, some bystanders thought He was crying out to Elijah, which shows that evoking saints was common practice.
Unbiblical things were common practice back then. That's why Christ was hated by the high priests. He showed them to be wrong.

Or their own prayers. But there's nothing in scripture about people on earth praying to saints and asking them to pass on a good word to Jesus for us. I mean, did the curtain tear or not?

All the while Christ hears those prayers even before they are uttered? He's God.

I made three statements. He responded to one. That's cherry picking.

Several Hebrew records and writings we kept as Holy along with the records we ourselves have written and kept~are Holy and Important to us and all who are Christian.
Anything that we have omitted we nor God have not necessarily forbidden.

All tradition, not every story was not written down, and other than what we have written can be as Christian as that on Parchment.
