It seems to me a lot of the ideas I hear about what the Christian haven will be like seems generally unappealing to me. I've heard it as place to sing praise and become one with God (which sounds horrible), I've heard it as a place where all sin is removed and we can live forever with our loved ones. But if you removed all your sinful desires will you even be the same person anymore. Sounds like living for eternity as a tree or robot not something I really want. Heck forever is a really long time would you ever want to live forever?
What are some of your thoughts? or what are some of your ideas of how the Christian heaven is like.

Yeah I get you but rather that than hell.

We definitely cannot comprehend what will be waiting in heaven. All of the different senses such as touch and sight, I am certain there will be more of those.

Good subject and good questions.

It's more about me seeing the face of God, and seeing and hearing Him rejoicing over me with singing.

You know that part of the short animation, The Little Matchgirl by Disney when she sees her grandmother and her grandmother gathers her up in her arms?

Like that.

The Glory, Power and Love of God is forever satisfying.

Are you satisfied here?

Look around at all His creative work.

Can you as an Athiest have knowledge of all things? or do you realise the more you know the less you truly know.

Are there more islands in the world than you have days to visit, more grains of sand than you can count, more stars than you can fathom?

The wisest, most knowledgeable King, Solomon (before Christ Jesus), said that all things are vanity and that there is nothing new under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 1:1-18

"I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit"

The only true peace is God, the only true satisfaction is God who is eternally beyond our comprehension and His Glory will fill you forever.

Well, for one, I think it gets confusing by conflating "heaven" with the Christian hope of the age to come. But since I believe, as has been confessed down through the centuries, that God will make all things new that the age to come isn't about existing as pious automatons; but rather about participating in life in its fullest expression and being; what that ultimately and totally looks like is regarded primarily as incomprehensible. But the point is that we aren't less human, but more human.

I think there are certain sign posts that are significant in pointing us in the right direction in Scripture. Isaiah speaks of a time when men beat their swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks, that men will no longer know war or how to wage war. The language of plowshares and pruning hooks seems to look a lot like there is stuff happening. People are living together. They are doing things together. Agricultural language points to life in community, peaceful life in community. We are together, sharing, enjoying the earth, its beauty, and our life together in and with God. The same prophet also speaks of the leopard laying down with the lamb, and of the lion eating straw like an ox; the brutality, cruelty, and barbarism of nature we observe today won't have a place there. God's creatures exist together in peace, the competition for resources won't exist, the violence of creature against creature won't exist. This is where justice, peace, and love reign. Not apart from the earth, but right here, in a world transformed by God's justice and love.

We aren't ghosts floating around strumming harps acting like pious robots; we are human beings, with relationships, interacting with one another, enjoying the world, living in peaceful coexistence and joyous life together with all God's creatures--all, together, in peace, love, and the goodness of God. In a way that is better than our imagination could ever comprehend.

Christ in teaching us that God's reign means the least is greatest, and the first is last, is calling us to "repent, for the kingdom of God is near"; by this "repent"--metanoia in Greek--it means to change the way we think about things and look at them another way. Christ invites us to instead look through the lens of the kingdom, in which greatness is not defined by power, might, and strength against the weak; but by loving service toward others "the greatest among you is your slave". And Christ shows us the greatness of the kingdom by Himself laying down His life in love, "No greater love is there than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Because God's kingdom, fully realized and manifest in the world to come, is not the place where men seek glory for themselves, but where we live in love for others. The calling begins with "repent, the kingdom of God is near, believe the good news".

Lets suppose for your view that God exists and everything you see is His creation.

Based on His creation alone, are you being one man able to comprehend His magnificence?

The time I went, it was pretty nice. They have these really comfortable sofas that look like clouds you can lie on, and watch videos all day, because you don't have to work. Free wi fi and phone usage. Accomodation is the only thing you pay for, which comes out of the money you saved in the previous life. Food is sensational. Imagine your favourite pizza? Well they got these super-duper supremes that are just de-licious and Heaven burgers taste well, heavenly, is probably the best word. You don't have to pray any more, which really frees up a lot of time, so you can watch more videos, which are mostly compilation best 100 movies over the last century that Earth existed. If you're a Trekkie, you will be especially pleased. I think they got like 10 000 episodes, something like that.

Huh!

That doesn't sound like the new Jerusalem and the new heavens and earth.

Nor the millennial Kingdom nor paradise.

It sounds like hades.

Are the burgers served with good sized fountain drinks?

Hopefully your parents showed you love at some point
and let you live one more day in spite of all your crying
for food and pooping on them in return.

Heaven is like that. You will enjoy it.
Oh, and "time" does not exist there.

19th century humorist Mark Twain was once asked about what he has chosen to do about his eternal destiny. He replied: "I'd choose Heaven for the climate and Hell for the company." A Christian cartoon showed a glum-faced man sitting on a fleecy cloud with about 10 harps lying around him. A newcomer exclaims: "Well, I can see you've done very well for yourself since your arrival!"

Most Christians act as if this life is our only career and Heaven is a combination of a glorified static eternal nursing home and a spiritual Disney World. In fact the NT teaches that this life is a school and the afterlife is our true career. Paul asks the Corinthians if they realize that they will eventually have jurisdiction over the cosmos and angels; and Jesus uses the image of jurisdiction over 5 or 10 heavenly cities, depending on how faithful we have been as His stewards.

Nope! It's so easy to get caught up in all the religiousness ("spiritual high") to anyone given such visions even to some of the authors of scriptures.

However, I doubt it when the time comes. Given the nature of God that I know, I strongly believe, we will still have certain jobs in Heaven. But unlike the jobs we do on Earth. None of that boring stuff anymore like money...Especially when you have unlimited resources, money will cease having value. I think most of these jobs will be about enforcing Godly Justice in all the Universes. Of course, that might take an eternity to finish!

Our time has not yet come in our Universe that's why evil in our Universe is prospering and evil is rewarded and good is punished.

Oh, and "time" does not exist there.
You mean I wont need my watch?
Ironically end times are the beginning of no times.
I can see some advantages though. No past equals no regrets. No future means no anxiety.
