Sabbath ordinances were tied to temple worship. The Sabbath was designated on a day of the week. The Lord of the Sabbath came on Pentecost. Jesus said, no longer will true worshippers worship God outwardly, within the context of temple worship, rather they will worship God inwardly, within the Spiritual Temple of the body, where the Holy Ghost resides.

So the true temple and true worship was to become separated from the external temple, as in the tearing of the veil in the temple in Jerusalem, whereby the true Sabbath was initiated by God from Pentecost and onwards. Pentecost and onward is within the inward temple, where the Holy Ghost dwells. Therefore the application of true worship and the definition of true worship, had to change from an external one, within a physical day of the week context, to that of a continuous day of rest, which is not related to a physical temple, not related to external worship and not related to a physical day of the week.

The word "DAILY" used in Daniel, meaning continuous day of rest, within the context of worshipping the God of the Sabbath inwardly in the spirit, will be removed and replaced by a physical day of the week, within the context of an outward temple worship. Those who worship a particular day of the week as the Sabbath, are unwittingly replacing the "DAILY", the DAILY being the continuous rest day, that was initiated by the Holy Ghost from Pentecost and onwards.

The "DAILY " is the Lord of the Sabbath, for he is the Sabbath day continuous in us. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (PENTECOST = Comforter) There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (Hebrew 4)

So believers are labouring to enter in his rest, which points directly to worshipping the Lord of the Sabbath in the spirit, that is why it says.....if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts, which points to Pentecost Holy Ghost indwelling, that is the pouring of the Spirit, which is the DAILY mentioned in Daniel, where it continuously places the believer in God's resting Sabbath, which is spiritual in context, and not a literal physical day of the week.

If in the future, after an Antichrist figure emerges to mandate a physical day, an external rather than inward worship, then this becomes the idol and abomination. The Hebrews author states that the Old Testament saints who worshipped God through temple centred worship and physical sabbaths, had not entered God's rest, where God's rest is the the continuous DAILY.

Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one - another daily, while it is called Today (Pentecost and onwards); lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, Today (Pentecost and onwards), if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

The Hebrews author uses the same word that Daniel uses another DAILY, to link directly to God's rest, which we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end, within the context of Pentecost, that is the Holy Ghost in dwelling. So if a person is indwelled by the Holy Ghost, they have entered continuous rest and this is the DAILY.

Thankyou for the nice hym "Yom Shekule Shabbat".

A Day Thanksgiving Sabbath!

Originally, Pentecost was a Jewish holiday held 50 days after Passover. One of three major feasts during the Jewish year, it celebrated Thanksgiving for harvested crops.

A Day of Thanksgiving of the outpouring of the Spirit. Peter referred to Joel in terms of the rain upon the harvest. Thanking God for giving us rest from our labours.

The labours are spiritual in context, associated with what the Holy Spirit declared to John....

13Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

Harvesting the Earth and Trampling the Winepress.

The reaping from the great harvest was initiated from Pentecost and onwards. Jesus said....

He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

The big question is did the Lord send out the workers into his harvest field?

Yes.

So when did he start sending out workers, which was tied to Joel and the reaping of the great harvest for God?

Pentecost and onwards.

When Jesus said those words there were not enough workmen right? What about the last 2000 years?

Plenty!

How to answer anyone, not just those who obey God's commandments:

Truthfully, as YHWH says to, as YHWH reveals what is right.

Can you see the spiritual Sabbath rest day being initiated by God from Pentecost and onwards.

The question is have we entered his rest?
Yes/No.

So how can you harmonise the Sabbath with the entire 2000 years harvest?

It is about the former rain from Pentecost and also the latter rain, before the coming of Christ at the 7th Trumpet being sounded and time no longer declared for the harvest, the door closes.

Jesus sent out the disciples (workers) , "thrust them out" into the fields,
as soon as He had prayed for laborers for the harvest.... He did not wait, according to Scripture, for Pentecost..

Matthew 9:37-10:15 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
37 Then he said to his talmidim, “The harvest is rich, but the workers are few. 38 Pray that the Lord of the harvest will send out workers to gather in his harvest.”

10 Yeshua called his twelve talmidim and gave them authority to drive out unclean spirits and to heal every kind of disease and weakness. 2 These are the names of the twelve emissaries:

First, Shim‘on, called Kefa, and Andrew his brother,
Ya‘akov Ben-Zavdai and Yochanan his brother,
3 Philip and Bar-Talmai,
T’oma and Mattityahu the tax-collector,
Ya‘akov Bar-Halfai and Taddai,
4 Shim‘on the Zealot, and Y’hudah from K’riot, who betrayed him.

5 These twelve Yeshua sent out with the following instructions: “Don’t go into the territory of the Goyim, and don’t enter any town in Shomron, 6 but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Isra’el. 7 As you go, proclaim, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is near,’ 8 heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those afflicted with tzara’at, expel demons. You have received without paying, so give without asking payment. 9 Don’t take money in your belts, no gold, no silver, no copper; 10 and for the trip don’t take a pack, an extra shirt, shoes or a walking stick — a worker should be given what he needs.

11 “When you come to a town or village, look for someone trustworthy and stay with him until you leave. 12 When you enter someone’s household, say, ‘Shalom aleikhem!’ 13 If the home deserves it, let your shalom rest on it; if not, let your shalom return to you. 14 But if the people of a house or town will not welcome you or listen to you, leave it and shake its dust from your feet! 15 Yes, I tell you, it will be more tolerable on the Day of Judgment for the people of S’dom and ‘Amora than for that town!

Matthew 9:37-10:15The Message (MSG)
35-38 Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. “What a huge harvest!” he said to his disciples. “How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!”

The Twelve Harvest Hands
10 1-4 The prayer was no sooner prayed than it was answered. Jesus called twelve of his followers and sent them into the ripe fields. He gave them power to kick out the evil spirits and to tenderly care for the bruised and hurt lives. This is the list of the twelve he sent:

Simon (they called him Peter, or “Rock”),
Andrew, his brother,
James, Zebedee’s son,
John, his brother,
Philip,
Bartholomew,
Thomas,
Matthew, the tax man,
James, son of Alphaeus,
Thaddaeus,
Simon, the Canaanite,
Judas Iscariot (who later turned on him).

5-8 Jesus sent his twelve harvest hands out with this charge:

“Don’t begin by traveling to some far-off place to convert unbelievers. And don’t try to be dramatic by tackling some public enemy. Go to the lost, confused people right here in the neighborhood. Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. You have been treated generously, so live generously.

9-10 “Don’t think you have to put on a fund-raising campaign before you start. You don’t need a lot of equipment. You are the equipment, and all you need to keep that going is three meals a day. Travel light.

11 “When you enter a town or village, don’t insist on staying in a luxury inn. Get a modest place with some modest people, and be content there until you leave.

12-15 “When you knock on a door, be courteous in your greeting. If they welcome you, be gentle in your conversation. If they don’t welcome you, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way. You can be sure that on Judgment Day they’ll be mighty sorry—but it’s no concern of yours now.

“This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,47and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48You are witnesses of these things. 49I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” (Luke 24)

We observe the symbol of the two witneses, the two anointed who minister come out WITH POWER only after Pentecost.

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

The word power is the same as the word Jesus used, with the context of the Holy Ghost, who is the Sabbath rest continuous, to whom Daniel knew it as the continuous DAILY.

What does Conforter mean to a Jewish culture of Jesus time?
In every culture, all the time - never changed:
Jesus is the Comforter, and gives rest , as He says directly : Are you worn out, tired, exhausted with religion? Come to ME, and learn from ME, and I will give you comfort and rest for your souls, and nourishment.......
He was and is the Good Shepherd,
and He said and says He will never, no never, not ever, abandon you (MY sheep)...

Freedom from the guilt and shame, and from the penalty of sin, from the power of the devil and the flesh and the world - Jesus sets everyone who comes to HIM free from all that and more, according to His Word, YHWH'S PLAN, YHWH'S PURPOSE.....

Rest within God's rest day, is within a spiritual context, where Jesus would say...

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

So Jesus comforted when he said.....
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

It goes to follow harmoniously that another Comforter, aside from Jesus, is the omnipresent Holy Ghost.

So, if the Holy Ghost abides in a born again believer forever, has that believer entered the DAILY, that is the rest day?

Off course!

Very well written post. I would be doubtful about the Antichrist mandating a day of Jewish observance. More likely a day of Islamic observance, but the rest was a pleasure to read, and brought back the power of the New Testament analogy related in Hebrews.

As for how to answer Adventists, remember that they hold Isaiah 66:22-23 to be a millennial prophecy, and rightly so. So the sabbaths will be restored for fleshly man. In light of that, I would simply argue how badly the various calendars have gotten twisted, and that the solar/Enochian calendar of the Essenes presently carries more weight behind it than the Lunar one does. This has given the Adventists fits, as it suggests they have been observing the WRONG Sabbath days this entire time.

Regardless of whether they have or not, the complete mess that the off-kilter rotation of the earth has caused in calendar calculation has thrown the entire discussion into serious doubt. In light of present circumstances, it is obviously best to take the teachings of Paul to heart that one man observes one day while another does not, and each should simply be satisfied in his own mind that he is being obedient to God. What a man does by faith he does unto God, and whatsoever is not of faith is sin, and just leave it at that.

If they wanna observe the Lunar Sabbaths, then let them do so in peace. But tell them to butt out if they want to judge you over it.

No.

So you say no. If that is the case, then how do you relate the literal sabbath day to the harvest, within the great commission to preach the gospel?

I fully concur on that. I am mindful of those who portray Christians, who go to receive communion on Sundays, as being accused as idol worshippers, that worship the abomination of desolation or receive the mark of the beast.

What they do is to bring much discomfort to Christians who don't conform to their day of observance and this is why I created the thread as heads up to Christians who worship God and receive communion on a Sundays.

This is admittedly "leaves on the tree" - awkward because we cannot possibly trace all this back to where you learned it, why, how, and get to the root of the matter on this forum ..... (as far as I know at this time)....

You probably or obviously have a source, or sources, and support, or supporters, who encourage to think and believe all this , and , again, getting to the basic root of it all is not encouraged anywhere on this site, nor in most places I know of.

If as I think you said, you are searching for the truth , as YHWH reveals and provides , and you keep searching, for the truth, from YHWH,
then you will find it, 'eventually' (it may take years, even decades, or just a few days - I have no idea at this time) ......
