Hi, whats wrong?WHY!
WHY!
WHY!
This. Why should he?
Possibly the same reason He hasn't healed me.WHY!
Funny how you have to have faith to be healed. As if God needs that, as if he can't just heal someone period.
How do you Christians hold on to such views and not end up destroying your own beliefs.
I will always remind the ones who deserve to know, that many false prophets have gone out into the world.Funny how you have to have faith to be healed. As if God needs that, as if he can't just heal someone period.

It's always "Your healing is just around the corner" With many believers, it's always another corner, then another. Until when? Until when? Until I'm dead?Well, UnderPar, not all of us believe that God is primarily in the 'healing' business. Sure, I believe HE 'can' heal people; but the question remains: Is He healing people? Personally, I don't think that today's expectations should be what they are. Of course, I could be wrong, and I'm willing to be shown by the power of other people's prayer that I am indeed wrong. But I think that many expectations for healing among present day Christians come more or less from a faulty hermeneutical practice with the Bible.
To understand better where I'm coming from on this, see the book by the late Ron Dunn - Will God Heal Me?: Faith in the Midst of Suffering. This is pretty much my position on the subject, more or less.
Even with that said, I'm sorry you're facing some tough times with your health. And although it may sound cliche for me to say that I will pray for you; I will pray for you.
Peace,

If they aren't the ones healing you - and they aren't - I don't think their opinion matters. It's always "Your healing is just around the corner" With many believers, it's always another corner, then another. Until when? Until when? Until I'm dead?
I can't read the bible anymore, it's become a disappointment. Humans are not as blood thirsty as the bible God. He's half loving and half vengeful, there's something really wrong with this whole picture.I will always remind the ones who deserve to know, that many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Do you remember how St. Paul was writing about this? He was describing that as he was about to leave them, they would have nobody of his status to teach them, and being amidst such swathes of false teachers who were perverting The Gospel, that they would need to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling.
While searching through scriptures this morning, I found Exodus 15:26 that seems it might speak to you. I was trying to find a verse, with keywords I remember to the effect "Of course I will save you! .. but you are listening to what they tell you and not me!" .. although it was years ago that I read that comprehension, and now of course, I did look for ten minutes in various searches.. well, hopefully this will be useful to you.
Dear Lord God, I just wish to ask for your help here, because there is only so much we can do on our own. I pray that our brother will have stamina and patience, but also lasting passion, to push right through and discover you in the fullness of your love, so that he can be accomplished in his representation of faith for your cause, having you as an everlasting friend, leader, and companion. I pray in Jesus' name, amen.
He has to at least meet me half way right? There are some things my creator has to fix for me.If they aren't the ones healing you - and they aren't - I don't think their opinion matters.
It is God's opinion that matters. I am a new Christian, and I could have told you as an agnostic you cannot judge God based on his followers. It would make it handy if you can, but you can't. You have to judge God based on HIS actions and words - and those you will find in the Bible.
My theory on healing (admittedly I am no expert) is that the state of your soul is FAR more important than the state of your body. If you refuse to allow God to heal your soul, why should he heal your body?
An example - my mother is a hoarder, and is always after me to clean her house for her. Her version of that is cleaning around the piles of junk. I refuse, and I tell her..."Let me get rid of the trash making this house so bad, and I will have it absolutely spotless for you. But there is no point coming in here and moving piles around and dusting around them, because it doesn't resolve anything."
In the same way, your asking God to heal a vessel, when what is inside is poisoned and bitter and angry. I would recommend get what is inside healed first.
I was incapacitated. Are you going to respond to the questions and observations made in the replies you've received? Or is this thread just a vehicle for your venting against Christianity and God?
