Good scripture there. let`s add this one -

`And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided SOMETHING BETTER FOR US, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.` (Heb. 11: 39 & 40)
amen the new covenant in Jer 31 was talking about jesus and it cited that this covenant would not be according to the covenant made in the wilderness or with Moses. The covenant with Moses does not abolish the covenant with Abraham made as an unconditional covenant as God put no conditions on ABraham and God consumed the sacrifice. These two covenants are separate. The Lord at his second coming open the eyes of Israel as they see the LORD coming with his saints and in that day they say the LORD is one. This is a new understanding as it is Jesus who has saved them at Armegeddon. It says in that day the LORD will be king over all the earth.
Homosexual acts are the "abomination", not attraction. I dare you to go in a crowd and try to force yourself to have a crush on a random person.
in the US behavior even hetero behavior has changed over the years not based on attraction as much as it is to exposure. The youth are being inappropriate contented up and experimenting earlier and earlier and the deviate things are all considered normal. In romans one the scriptures speak of a progression of being given over and not recognizing God and there are 4 stages before it says people are give over to a depraved mind and it describes homosexuality and the support of such things as bringing about the wrath of God. I may be attracted to women but being monogamous is a choice and a discipline any one can jump in the sex pit and do what they want. God elevated sex as the high form of intimacy and commitment between life long couples who are bound in marriage. Anton Lavey founder of the church of Satan taught

Anton LaVey was the founder of the Church of Satan. He died on October 30th, 1997, and unfortunately, because God's church is the sleeping giant, LaVey's followers and his agenda to desensitize Christians through the media, lives on.
Here are some astonishing quotes of his;
"The Tv set (is the) Satanic family altar."

"Television is the major mainstream infiltration for the new satanic religion."

"It should be brought out that we not only condone, but encourage all types of what would be called sexual perversity and deviations because we feel that in a few short years it will be established that everyone is a sexual deviant and pervert.

In the Satanic Bible, "LaVey explained that he was moved to establish the Church of Satan when he saw the need for a church that would "recapture man's body and carnal desires as objects of celebration."

"The Church of Satan preaches a religious system that endeavors to overcome the repressions and inhibitions of human instinctual behavior it believes has been fostered by the Judeo-Christian tradition."

The Church of Satan directly attacks all the Christian principles which this country was founded upon.

Your philosophy does not reflect the Bible but Anton's .

In the 1950's a book called the naked communist had a list of 45 goals to make the US a sociialst country , here are a few of those that are related
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. " Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting inappropriate contentography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV. [Note: This is the Gramscian agenda of the "long march through the institutions" spelled out explicitly: gradual takeover of the "means of communication" and then using those vehicles to debauch the culture and weaken the will of the individual to resist.]

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural and healthy." [Note: Today those few who still have the courage to advocate public morality are denounced and viciously attacked. Most Americans are entirely unwitting regarding the motives behind this agenda.]

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch." [Note: This has been largely accomplished through the communist infiltration of the National Council of Churches, Conservative and Reform Judaism, and the Catholic seminaries.]

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state"

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

You may think we are evolving be we are degenerating. The ideas you support are promoted by a Satanist and a communist agenda. These were ideas expressed before the cultural shift that has taken place since.

The Lord at his second coming open the eyes of Israel as they see the LORD coming with his saints and in that day they say the LORD is one.

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Mat 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Mat 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Mat 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Mat 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Mat 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

Mat 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Mat 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Mat 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

There will be no second chances at His Second Coming, based on the words of Christ found above.

Im sorry Jesus is not reigning now would abortion and gay marriage and every other abomination be in full force if as the scriptures promise when the angels declare the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and his christ and he will rule forever? You see the Bible says Satan who has deceived the nations will deceive them no more until the the 1000 years is up and that Satan will be bound for the entire 1000 years that Jesus reigns on this earth. When Jesus takes the throne in Zech 14 at his 2nd coming it says the mt of olives will split in two and a new river will form and flow all year round and all the nations will have to keep the feast of tabernacles or they will get no rain. All this is future and literal. In that day the curse will be reversed and man will learn war no more.
You're kind of not looking at the entire bible. God reigned all through the Old Testament, yet Israel was conquered time and time again in Judges and through the time of the divided Kingdom by Assyria, by Babylon, and by Medo-Persia because of their disobedience to God.

Now...you say Jesus isn't reigning, and your reasoning is the evil you see around you...Yet He saved you! How did that happen?

Once again, in Matthew 28:18 Jesus said He was given ALL AUTHORITY. Do you believe what Jesus said...or what you see?

Paul says Jesus reigns in Ephesians 1:18-23...and the same thing is said in Hebrews 1. Furthermore in Revelation 5 you have the vision of Jesus receiving the reign from the Father just as Daniel 7 also says.

The question is do you understand that just what was said repeatedly in the Old Testament...that "every man did what was right in His own eyes" is very true in the New Testament? Jesus is allowing such things because they will cleary be a testimony against unbelievers when He returns for final judgement.

To look at the way the world's evils now, at not still see Jesus at work in every soul that is saved, is to be blind of what Jesus said in John 6:37-40. People get saved and live for God because Jesus is on the throne! He REIGNS Brian...whether you understand it or not.

As I posted in @23 above, Jesus returns to the earth ; in Rev.20:6, it states the resurrected martyrs/saints will reign with Christ for 1,000 yers. On earth.

Quasar92

Acts 2:34-35, 1 Corinthians 15:25, and Hebrews 10:12-13 clearly state that Christ will ascend to heaven and sit at the right hand of God to reign until his enemies have been made a footstool. If Christ has to literally comeback from heaven to earth to literally fight the devil and the beasts, then christ will not have reigned in heaven until all his enemies have been put under his feet.[/QUOTE]

Yes, that's right. Jesus is presently seated at the right hand of His/our Father in heaven. But He will not remain there according to a preponderance of Scripture. See the following for starters:

The Coming of Zion’s King
Zech.9:9 "Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! to the ends of the earth. the cornersAP)" data-cr="#cen-NIV-23015AP" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; line-height: 22px; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;"> of the altar.

17 How attractive and beautiful they will be!
Grain will make the young men thrive,
and new wine the young women."

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Rev 11:16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
Rev 11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (The temple in heaven, not in earthly Jerusalem.)

Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (John saw these souls in heaven, where the thrones of God and Christ are now located.)

Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (Those who are not believers are not resurrected from the dead until the bodily resurrection of the dead found in Revelation 11:18, at Christ's Second Coming, which is found at Revelation 11:15. The Book of Revelation is not in chronological order. This fact is proven by Revelation 16:15-16, when He comes as a thief at Armageddon and also comes later in Revelation chapter 19.)

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. (The first resurrection from the dead is found in John 5:24.)

The Scripures pertaining to both the prophets and the disciples in the OP clearly reveal Jesus Kingdom will be on earth, on the throne of David, in the restored kingdom of Israel, as recorded in Acts 1:6; 2:29-30; 15:16; Zech.6:12-13, described in Ez.40-47 and Rev.20:6.

The following is a chronology of the events that will take place:

Scriptural proof for the pre-trib rapture of the Church

The Scriptures are crystal clear where Jesus will meet His Church, in 1 Thess.4:17: "After that, we who are still alive and are left, WILL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER with them in the clouds TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR. And so we will be with the Lord forever." In the FIRST of His TWO comings, recorded in 1 Thess.4:16, yet to take place, confirming Jn.14:2-3, 28! From where the Church is seen in heaven BEFORE the tribulation begins, in Rev.4:1-2. Where Jesus used John to symbolically represent the Church. Confirming 2 Thess.2:3 and 7-8! Where the Church is seen in heaven later, at the marriage of the Bride/Church to the Lamb/Jesus. While the tribulation is taking place on earth, recorded in Rev.19:7-8. From where Jesus will return to the earth in the SECOND, of His TWO comings, yet to take place, WITH HIS CHURCH, riding white horses, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, in His armies from heaven, recorded in 19:14, confirming Zech.14:4-5 and Acts 1:6; 1:11; 2:29-30 and 15:16! From which the above Scriptures leave no other options!

The difference between the pre-trib rapture of the Church, as delineated above, and the SECOND coming of Jesus are the following facts:

1. Jesus returns to the earth in His second coming, recorded in Zech.14:4-5 and in Acts 1:11.

2. No one meets Jesus in the sky when He returns in His second coming, recorded in Rev.19:14, as they will when He returns for the first time, recorded in 1 Thess.4:16!.

3. Jesus will return from the marriage of the Bride/Church to the Lamb/Jesus, in heaven, in His second coming, to the earth, with His Church, recorded in Rev.19:14, He came for in His first coming, in the clouds of the sky, seven years before, recorded in Jn.14:2-3, 28, 1 Thess.4:16-17 and 2 Thess.2:3 and 7-8.

4. No one returns to the present heaven at Jesus second coming to the earth, because He has come to establish His 1,000 year reign on the throne of David, in the restored kingdom of Israel, as recorded in Acts 1:6; 2:29-30; 15:16; Zech.6:12-13 described in Ez.40-47 and Rev.20:6. In addition to the present heaven and earth being destroyed and will pass away, as recorded in 2 Pet.3:7 and in Rev.21:1.

It is preterist theology that thinks Lord Jesus will not reign bodily on earth during the millennium.I am not debating that theology. No need.

Yes, that is correct. As well as the Amillennialists.

This is a faulty eschatlogy clearly refuted by Christ after He rose from the dead. You're basically saying at Matthew 28:18, where Jesus cleary said He was given ALL AUTHORITY in heaven AND on earth, that He was incorrect.

Furthermore the only rapture is when Jesus returns! Believers are caught up to meet Him in the air. Dead believers first, living believers second. 1 Thess 4:13-18 is 1 Corinthians 15:20-58 in brevity.

Verse 13 of 1 Thess 4 is the key! Paul is not speaking of a pretrib rapture, he's speaking on the resurrection/rapture which both happen at the same time when Jesus returns.

The pre-trib rapture is fallacious!

Preterists believe that the Second Coming has already happened.
I haven't read anything here that makes me think someone is a preterist.

Hi Brian,

Glad we can agree on some things. However.....I do not see any scripture that says the Body of Christ will return when the Lord comes in power & great glory to deal with the rebellious nations and deliver Israel.

Hi Handmaid,

I am not a believer of the preterist theology, but believe in the pre-trib. rapture of the Body of Christ. Not as escapism, but according to God`s purposes in His word.

regards. Marilyn.

2. No one meets Jesus in the sky when He returns in His second coming, recorded in Rev.19:14, as they will when He returns for the first time, recorded in 1 Thess.4:16!.

1. Jesus returns to the earth in His second coming, recorded in Zech.14:4-5 and in Acts 1:11.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
(The word "descend" means to come down. Look it up in the dictionary.)

2. No one meets Jesus in the sky when He returns in His second coming, recorded in Rev.19:14, as they will when He returns for the first time, recorded in 1 Thess.4:16!.

Th 5:1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.
1Th 5:2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

Rev 16:15 "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame."
Rev 16:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.

(He "comes as a thief" in 1 Thessalonians and at Armageddon.)

1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

(Christ is returning from heaven with that part of His Church that has already died.)

(You cannot have a kingdom on this earth after it has been destroyed and passed away as revealed by 2 Peter 3:10. This occurs on "the day of the Lord", when He comes "as a thief", according to Peter. Therefore, there is a conflict in number 4 above.)

Joh 4:20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship."
Joh 4:21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.

(Jesus corrected the woman at the well when she said that Jerusalem is the place where we should worship.)

Joh 4:22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
Joh 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
(Here Jesus confirms the timing of His statement above about not worshipping in the earthly Jerusalem. God had the Romans destroy the city and the temple in 70 AD. In Galatians 4 Paul compares earthly Jerusalem to "bondage". )

Gal 4:25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children—

Gal 4:26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.
(Here Paul contrasts earthly Jerusalem to heavenly Jerusalem, which is our home, based on Hebrews 11:15-16.)

Verse 13 of 1 Thess 4 is the key! Paul is not speaking of a pretrib rapture, he's speaking on the resurrection/rapture which both happen at the same time when Jesus returns.

The pre-trib rapture is fallacious!

Now that you have expressed your views in meaningless opinion, show me which of the Scriptures posted in #45 make liars of Jesus and His disciples who taught the pre-trib rapture of the church.

Explain to me how the Church gets into heaven for the marriage of the Bride/Church to the Lamb/Jesus, in Rev.19:7-8 and then returns with Him, riding white horses, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, in His armies from heaven, in verse 14. Confirming Zech.14:4-5.

Scriptural facts about Jesus Millennial reign here on the earth!

I believe Jesus is returning to reign over the earth because the New Testament prophets say so.

1) Peter

Acts 3:21 — In his sermon on the portico of Solomon, Peter says Jesus must remain in Heaven "until the period of the restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time." The period of restoration spoken of here will occur during the Millennium when the curse is partially lifted and nature is restored (Romans 8:18-23).

2) Paul

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 — Paul says that when Jesus returns "dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel," He will also come for the purpose of being glorified before His saints. The return of Jesus to be glorified before His saints and all the nations of the world is one of the persistent themes of Old Testament prophecy (Isaiah 24:23, Isaiah 52:10,13, Isaiah 61:3, and Psalm 46:10).

2 Timothy 2:12 — Paul says "if we endure, we shall also reign with Him."

3) John

Revelation 12:5 — John sees a vision in which a sun clothed woman (Israel) gives birth to a male child (Jesus) "who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron."

Revelation 19:15-16 — In his description of Jesus returning to earth, John says He bears the title, "King of kings and Lord of lords," and John says He will "rule the nations with a rod of iron."

Revelation 20:4,6 — John says that after the return of Jesus to the earth, He will reign with His saints ("those to whom judgment has been given") for a thousand years.

I believe Jesus is returning to earth to reign because the Heavenly Host say so.

1) Gabriel

Luke 1:26-38 — When the archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he told her that she would bear a son named Jesus who would be called "the Son of the Most High." He then added three promises that are yet to be fulfilled: "the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and His kingdom will have no end."

2) The Four Living Creatures and the 24 Elders

Revelation 5:9-10 — When John is raptured to Heaven and finds himself standing before the throne of God (Revelation 4), he hears "the four living creatures" (special angelic creatures called seraphim in Isaiah 6) and "the twenty-four elders" (probably representative of the redeemed) singing a song of praise to Jesus. In this song they say that Jesus is a Worthy Lamb who has made His redeemed a kingdom, "and they will reign upon the earth."

3) The Angels of God

Revelation 11:15 — Voices from Heaven make a proleptic proclamation in the midst of the Tribulation: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever."(Note: A proleptic statement is one that speaks of a future event as if it has already occurred. This is a common form of expression in prophecy because all future events are settled in the mind of God as if they had already happened in history.)

4) The Tribulation Martyrs

Revelation 15:3-4 — At the end of the Tribulation, right before the final pouring out of God's wrath in the form of the bowl judgments, all the Tribulation martyrs who are in Heaven join together in singing "the song of Moses... and the song of the Lamb." In that song, they declare the Lamb (Jesus) to be the "King of the nations," and they proclaim that "all the nations will come and worship before Thee."

I believe Jesus is returning to reign on the earth because Jesus said so.

Matthew 19:28 — Jesus said that during "the regeneration" (the same time as "the period of restoration" referred to by Peter in Acts 3:21), He will "sit on His glorious throne," and the Apostles will join Him in judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matthew 25:31 — Jesus said that when He returns in glory, "the Son of Man... will sit on His glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before Him" for judgment. The throne of Jesus is the throne of David which has always been located in only one place — in Jerusalem (see Isaiah 9:6-7 and Psalm 122).

Acts 1:3-6 — Luke says that Jesus spent 40 days teaching His disciples about the kingdom of God. Then, as He was ready to ascend into Heaven, one of the disciples asked, "Lord is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?" The question indicates that Jesus taught a time would come when the kingdom would be restored to Israel. Jesus' response to the question indicated the same thing. He did not rebuke the question. Rather, He simply said it was not for them to know the times and seasons when the kingdom would be restored to Israel.

Revelation 2:26-27 — Jesus says that He has a special reward for any "overcomer" who keeps His deeds until the end: "To him I will give authority over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron."

Revelation 3:21 — Jesus makes it clear that the overcomers will reign jointly with Him: "He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."Again, the throne of Jesus is the throne of David (Luke 1:32 and Revelation 3:7). The throne of David is in Jerusalem, not in Heaven (Psalm 122). Jesus currently shares His Father's throne. He is not sitting on His own throne and will not do so until He returns to this earth. Then He will allow the redeemed to share His throne with Him.

Acts 2:34-35, 1 Corinthians 15:25, and Hebrews 10:12-13 clearly state that Christ will ascend to heaven and sit at the right hand of God to reign until his enemies have been made a footstool. If Christ has to literally comeback from heaven to earth to literally fight the devil and the beasts, then christ will not have reigned in heaven until all his enemies have been put under his feet.

Yes, that's right. Jesus is presently seated at the right hand of His/our Father in heaven. But He will not remain there according to a preponderance of Scripture. See the following for starters:

The Coming of Zion’s King

Quasar92[/QUOTE]
I am having some issues with the logic of this discussion. First, we know Christ will sit at the right hand of God reigning until his enemies have been made a footstool. Then he will deliver the kingdom to the father, so that He may be all in all. If Christ sits at the right hand until he returns to earth to reign for the millennia, as you say, then there should be no enemies when he gets to earth, as he sat at the right hand until his enemies are under his feet.
Secondly, Zechariah is about the first coming of Christ. Zechariah 9:9 talks about him riding on a colt

1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

(Christ is returning from heaven with that part of His Church that has already died.)

(Here Paul contrasts earthly Jerusalem to heavenly Jerusalem, which is our home, based on Hebrews 11:15-16.)

.

The Biblical chronological order of end time events:

1. The very next prophetic event to take place will be the rapture of the Church, consisting of everyone who believes in Jesus Christ as Lord, regardless of denomination, or no denomination at all, as taught by both Jesus as well as the apostle Paul. In Jn.14:2-4, 28; 1 Thes.4:13-18; 2 Thes.2:1-8; Rev.3:10 and 4:1-2. All those who died in Christ, to all those who are still alive at His coming in the clouds of the sky, for His Church, where we will all meet Jesus, from where He will take us to our Father in heaven, as He promised us in Jn.14:2-4 and 28.

2. The rapture of the Christian Church of Jesus Christ preceeds the revealing of the man of lawlessness/beast/antichrist, according to 2 Thes.2:3-4 and 7-8. Which then immediately sets off the seven years of tribulation, as recorded in Mt.24:4-31, Jesus amplification of Dan.9:27. Where the person who is all three of the "he's" in that verse, and the rider of the white horse in Rev.6:2, is revealed. All of whom are the antichrist. It is at this stage of end times chronology the 70th Week of Dan.9:27 will begin.

3. The tribulation is revealed in Jer.30:4-7, referred to as "Jacob's Trouble," and in Dan.9:27, the 70th and final week of God's decree upon the destiny of Israel. In God's revelation to the prophet Daniel, through the angel Gabriel, the 70 "Weeks" [7 years each] of years He has decreed upon the entire destiny of Israel. From the end of their 70 year exile, through the coming seven year tribulation. The person who will set it of is the antichrist, the "he" who will establish a seven year covenant/agreement with them. Dan.9:27.

Jesus amplified and confirmed Daniel's 70th and final "Week," consisting of the abomination that causes desolation, in Mt.24:15 and 21, and in the counterparts of Mk.13 and in Lk.21.

4. The fig trees have sprouted leaves, we can see for ourselves and know that summer is near. Lk.21:29. Which began with the new nation of Israel, when it was reestablished on May 14, 1948.

5. The Christian Church of Jesus Christ is called up into heaven, symbolically illustrated by the apostle John in Rev.4:1-2, confirming 2 Thes.2:3 and 7-8. As prophecied in Jn.14:2-4, 28 and 1 Thes.4:16-17, while Israel and all non-believers will go through the seven year tribulation. The Church is seen again at their marriage of the Lamb [Jesus Christ] to His Bride [The Church] in heaven, recorded in Rev.19:7-9, while the tribulation is taking place on earth.

6. Jesus will return, seven ears later, with His Church, following Him on white horses, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, which stands for the righteous acts of the saints [Verse 8 NIV]. In His Second Coming to the earth, with His angels, in His armies from heaven, in Zech.14:4-5, Mt.24:31, Jude 14, and Rev.19:14.

7. Jesus will fight the battle of Armageddon, with His armies from heaven and end it, recorded in Rev.19:11-21. And save the remnant of Israel, who then recognize Him as their Messiah, recorded in Zech.12:10, and "all Israel will be saved," recorded in Rom.11:26...

8. The antichrist and the false prophet will be thrown into the lake of fire, and the armies of the ten horns [nations] are destroyed. Rev19:17-21. Jesus prophecy in Jn.10:16 will then be fulfilled, when there will be one fold [Israel and His Church] and one Shepherd. It is at this stage of end times chronology the 70 Weeks prophecy in Dan.9:27 will end.
9..Satan is caught and thrown into the Abyss for the same 1,000 years that Jesus will reign, in His kingdom here on the earth. Rev.20:6, confirming Mt.6:9-13; Zech.6:12-13, described in Ez.40-47; Acts 1:6; 2:29-30 and 15:16.

10. The first resurrection takes place which consists of all those brought to the Lord during the tribulation by the 144,000 Israelite evangelists. They will be martyred during the tribulation, by the two beasts, the antichrist, the false prophet and the ten horns [nations] allied to them. Those who are brought to Christ by the 144,000 Israelite evangelists, in the absence of the departed Church during the tribulation, do not belong to the Christian Church [who will be raptured before the seven year tribulation begins, as addressed above]. They will be made priests of God and of Christ, and rule with Him for 1,000 years, after their resurrection, according to Rev.20:4 and 6. They will be beheaded and pay with their lives for their testimony of Jesus, by the two beasts, the antichrist, the false prophet and the ten horns [nations] allied to them..

11. The Millennial Kingdom of Christ will consist of the one body of Christ, His Church, all those who survived the tribulation, besides the resurrected martyrs, and the remnant of Israel. In numbers alone, from an estimated original 7 billion people, there will only be 2.3 billion remaining , of those who had to go through the tribulation, recorded in Zech.13:8. Life expectancy will be greatly increased. Isa.65:20 and 11:6-9.

12. Jesus 1,000 year kingdom will begin at this point, according to Rev.20:6, here on the earth, on the throne of David, in the restored kingdom of Israel, confirming Acts 1:6; 2:29-30 and 15:16. At the same time the 1,000 years Satan will be in the Abyss, according to Rev.20:1-3. Jesus prophecy in Jn.10:16 will then be fulfilled, when there will be one fold, Israel and the Church, with one Shepherd. When Jesus Millennial kingdom has ended, 1,000 years later, at the Great White Throne judgment, recorded in Rev.20:11-15. Satan will be released and go out to deceive the people and nations again in his last rebellion against God and gather a huge army who come against God's people, surrounding Jerusalem. But God will send fire and sulfur down from heaven, as He did at Sodom and Gomorrah, destroying them all, and throwing Satan into the lake of fire, forever, in Rev.20:7-10.

13. The second resurrection takes place according to Rev.20:5, that consists of all those who will be saved during the Millennial reign of Jesus here on the earth, as well as the Godless and wicked, at the Great White Throne Judgment, set up to judge them, right here on earth. The sea, death and Hades all give up their dead and will then be thrown into the lake of fire. Meaning, that all who were in the 'temporal holding tanks' of Sheol, Hades and Hell will be removed to face judgment, along with death itself, disposed of forever. For all those who participate in the second resurrection, if their name is not found in the book of life, will be thrown into the lake of fire forever. Rev.20:11-15, and Dan.12:2 and Mt.25:46 will be fulfilled.

14. The old heaven and earth will pass away, recorded in Rev.21:1 [Destroyed by fire according to 2 Pet.3:7] and God will provide an all new heaven and earth, and the new eternal city of Jerusalem will descend from heaven, 1,500 miles long and as wide as it is long and as high as it is wide, Rev.21:1-16.

15. The rest of chapters 21 and 22 allude to a description of the coming eternal city and life of all believers who will be with the Lord forever.

The reign of Christ comes as Daniel spoke that the stone cut without hands descends and destroys the image of the kingdoms of man so no trace is found of them. This stone becomes a a great mountain and a kingdom that covers the earth and shall have no end. Until the Lord descends the world is under the control of Satan. The proclamation in Revelation that declares the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of the Lord and His Christ and He shall reign forever has not gone forth yet. The transfer of power and the kingdom coming to earth is at the 2nd coming. Of course God reigns and Jesus is God and on the throne with the Father but these things on earth he placed under Adams authority and ADam forfeited it to Satan. Jesus told a parable of a king who took a kingdom but delayed coming to take his place. This is where we are at now. The whole of Revelation is to play out. Just as the disciples asked in Acts one about if Jesus was going at that time to restore thekingdom; Jesus deferred that was under the Fathers authority. When the Lord comes he will rule with a rod of iron and the things i mention will not be taking place.

Hi BABerean2,

Just looking at those two points you made.

1.`But you brethren, are not in darkness, so that this day should overtake you as a thief.` (1 Thess. 5: 4)

2. `...to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.` (1 Thess. 1: 10)

I do not see where we, the Body of Christ will be overtaken by the judgments of God when Jesus comes as a thief. Jesus is the Head of the body and as the day (time of judgments) approaches the Holy Spirit will confirm in our hearts to come together more, (in every day life & not just public meetings) to encourage and help each other, praying for others.

...exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.` (Heb. 10: 25)

We know that Christ ascended into heaven, to sit at the right hand of God UNTIL his enemies are made a foot stool (acts 2:34-35 hebrews 10:13). We know that Christ must reign UNTIL his enemies are put under his feet (1 corinthians 15:25). Once everything is put under His feet (excluding the Father), the end will come, and the Son will be subject to the Father, so that God may be in all in all (1 corinthians 15:26-28)

So my question to you is, Will Christ be reigning in heaven or on earth when everything is put under his feet?

1) The Psalms
  • Psalm 2:6-9 — David says the Messiah will reign over “the very ends of the earth” from Mount Zion in Jerusalem.
  • Psalm 22:27-31 — David again affirms that the Messiah will be given dominion over “the ends of the earth” at the time when He “rules over the nations.”
  • Psalm 47 — The sons of Korah rejoice over the day when the Lord will be “a great King over all the earth,” and they state that this will take place when the Lord subdues the “nations under our feet.”
  • Psalm 67 — An unidentified psalmist speaks prophetically of the time when the nations of the world will “be glad and sing for joy.” This will be when the Lord comes to “judge the peoples with uprightness.” At that time the Lord will “guide the nations on the earth” so that “all the ends of the earth may fear Him.”
  • Psalm 89:19-29 — The psalmist, Ethan, speaks of the Davidic Covenant and proclaims that it will be fulfilled when God makes His “first-born the highest of the kings of the earth.”
  • Psalm 110 — David says a time will come when God will make the enemies of the Messiah a footstool under His feet. This will occur when the Messiah stretches forth His “strong scepter from Zion.” At that time He will “rule in the midst of His enemies,” for… “He will shatter kings in the day of His wrath, He will judge among the nations.”
  • Psalm 132:13-18 — An unnamed psalmist speaks of God’s fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant. He says this will occur at a time when “the horn of David” springs forth to reign from Zion. He says “His crown will shine,” and He will make Zion His “resting place forever” for He will dwell there.
2) Isaiah
  • Isaiah 2:1-4 — Isaiah says that “in the last days” the Messiah will reign from Mount Zion in Jerusalem and the entire world will experience peace.
  • Isaiah 9:6-7 — The Messiah will rule from the throne of David, giving the world a government of peace, justice, and righteousness. (Note: The throne of David is not in Heaven. It is located in Jerusalem — see Psalm 122. Jesus is not now on the throne of David. He sits at the right hand of His Father on His Father’s throne — see Revelation 3:21.)
  • Isaiah 11:3b-9 — The Messiah will bring “righteousness and fairness” to the earth when He returns to “slay the wicked.” At that time, the curse will be lifted and the plant and animal kingdoms will be restored to their original perfection.
  • Isaiah 24:21-23 — When the Messiah returns, He will punish Satan and his demonic hordes in the heavens and then will punish “the kings of the earth, on earth.” He will then “reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem” for the purpose of manifesting His glory.
3) Jeremiah
  • Jeremiah 23:5 — “‘Behold, the days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I shall raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.'” (Note: The term, “Branch,” is a Messianic title.)
  • Jeremiah 33:6-18 — A day will come when the Lord will regather the dispersed of both Judah and Israel and will save a great remnant. At that time the Lord “will cause a rigthteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth.”
4) Ezekiel
  • Ezekiel 20:33-44 — The Lord says a day will come when He will regather the Jews to their land and will “enter into judgment” with them. He says that at that time “I shall be king over you.” He then adds that “the whole house of Israel, all of them, will serve Me in the land.”
  • Ezekiel 37:24-28 — The Lord says that He will dwell in the midst of Israel after a remnant of the Jews is regathered to the land and saved, and He promises that “David My servant shall be their prince forever.”
  • Ezekiel 39:21-29 — The Lord says that following the battle of Armageddon (verses 17-20), “I will set My glory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them.”
  • Ezekiel 43:7 — While being given a tour of the future Millennial Temple, Ezekiel is told by the Lord: “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet; where I will dwell among the sons of Israel forever.”
5) Daniel
  • Daniel 7:13-14,18,27 — Daniel says he was given a vision in which he saw the Messiah (“Son of Man”) given dominion over all the earth by God the Father (“the Ancient of Days”). And then he adds in verses 18 and 27 that the kingdom is shared “with the saints of the Highest One,” and they are allowed to exercise sovereignty with Him over “all the kingdoms under the whole heaven.”
6) Hosea
  • Hosea 3:4-5 — The Jews will be set aside “for many days,” but a time will come “in the last days” when they “will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king.”
7) Joel
  • Joel 3:14-17,21 — Joel says that following the battle of Armageddon (verses 14-16), the Lord will dwell “in Zion, My holy mountain.” He repeats this in verse 21. And in verse 17 He identifies Zion as the city of Jerusalem.
8) Micah
  • Micah 4:1-7 — Micah repeats in greater detail the prophecy contained in Isaiah 2. Like Isaiah, he says the Lord will make Jerusalem the capital of the world. The world will be flooded with peace and prosperity. All believing Jews will be regathered to Israel, and “the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion.”
9) Zephaniah
  • Zephaniah 3:14-20 — This entire book is devoted to a description of the day the Lord will return to the earth in vengeance. The prophet says that at the end of that day, when the Lord’s enemies have been destroyed, the Jewish remnant will shout in triumphant joy because “the King of Israel, the Lord,” will be in their midst.
10) Haggai
  • Haggai 2:20-23 — The Lord says that a day will come when He will “overthrow the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the power of the kingdoms of the nations.” Then, using Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, as a type of the Messiah, the prophet adds: “‘On that day,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘I will take you, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, my servant,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you,’ declares the Lord of hosts.” The reference to the signet ring means the Father will grant His Son ruling authority.
11) Zechariah
  • Zechariah 2:10-13 — The Lord says that when He comes, He will “dwell in the midst” of the Jews, possessing Judah as “His portion in the holy land” and again choosing Jerusalem.
  • Zechariah 6:12-13 — When the Messiah (“the Branch”) returns, He will build a temple and “rule on His throne,” and the offices of priest and king will be combined in Him. Thus, “He will be a priest on His throne.”
  • Zechariah 8:2-3 — The Lord promises that when He returns to Zion, He will “dwell in the midst of Jerusalem,” and Jerusalem will be called “the city of Truth.”<
  • Zechariah 9:10 — The Messiah will bring peace to the nations and “His dominion will be from sea to sea.”
  • Zechariah 14:1-9 — The Messiah will return to the Mount of Olives. The Mount will split in half when His foot touches it, and the Jewish remnant left alive in Jerusalem will flee the city and hide in the cleavage of the Mount. Verse 9 says that on that day, “the Lord will become king over all the earth.”
Jesus is returning to reign over the earth because the New Testament prophets say so.

1) Peter
  • Acts 3:21 — In his sermon on the portico of Solomon, Peter says Jesus must remain in Heaven “until the period of the restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.” The period of restoration spoken of here will occur during the Millennium when the curse is partially lifted and nature is restored (Romans 8:18-23).
2) Paul
  • 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 — Paul says that when Jesus returns “dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel,” He will also come for the purpose of being glorified before His saints. The return of Jesus to be glorified before His saints and all the nations of the world is one of the persistent themes of Old Testament prophecy (Isaiah 24:23, Isaiah 52:10,13, Isaiah 61:3, and Psalm 46:10).
  • 2 Timothy 2:12 — Paul says “if we endure, we shall also reign with Him.”
3) John
  • Revelation 12:5 — John sees a vision in which a sun clothed woman (Israel) gives birth to a male child (Jesus) “who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron.”
  • Revelation 19:15-16 — In his description of Jesus returning to earth, John says He bears the title, “King of kings and Lord of lords,” and John says He will “rule the nations with a rod of iron.”
  • Revelation 20:4,6 — John says that after the return of Jesus to the earth, He will reign with His saints (“those to whom judgment has been given”) for a thousand years.

Jesus is returning to earth to reign because the Heavenly Host say so.

1) Gabriel
  • Luke 1:26-38 — When the archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he told her that she would bear a son named Jesus who would be called “the Son of the Most High.” He then added three promises that are yet to be fulfilled: “the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and His kingdom will have no end.”
2) The Four Living Creatures and the 24 Elders
  • Revelation 5:9-10 — When John is raptured to Heaven and finds himself standing before the throne of God (Revelation 4), he hears “the four living creatures” (special angelic creatures called seraphim in Isaiah 6) and “the twenty-four elders” (probably representative of the redeemed) singing a song of praise to Jesus. In this song they say that Jesus is a Worthy Lamb who has made His redeemed a kingdom, “and they will reign upon the earth.”
3) The Angels of God
  • Revelation 11:15 — Voices from Heaven make a proleptic proclamation in the midst of the Tribulation: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” (Note: A proleptic statement is one that speaks of a future event as if it has already occurred. This is a common form of expression in prophecy because all future events are settled in the mind of God as if they had already happened in history.)
4) The Tribulation Martyrs
  • Revelation 15:3-4 — At the end of the Tribulation, right before the final pouring out of God’s wrath in the form of the bowl judgments, all the Tribulation martyrs who are in Heaven join together in singing “the song of Moses… and the song of the Lamb.” In that song, they declare the Lamb (Jesus) to be the “King of the nations,” and they proclaim that “all the nations will come and worship before Thee.”
Jesus is returning to reign on the earth because Jesus said so.
  • Matthew 19:28 — Jesus said that during “the regeneration” (the same time as “the period of restoration” referred to by Peter in Acts 3:21), He will “sit on His glorious throne,” and the Apostles will join Him in judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
  • Matthew 25:31 — Jesus said that when He returns in glory, “the Son of Man… will sit on His glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before Him” for judgment. The throne of Jesus is the throne of David which has always been located in only one place — in Jerusalem (see Isaiah 9:6-7 and Psalm 122).

  • Acts 1:3-6 — Luke says that Jesus spent 40 days teaching His disciples about the kingdom of God. Then, as He was ready to ascend into Heaven, one of the disciples asked, “Lord is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?” The question indicates that Jesus taught a time would come when the kingdom would be restored to Israel. Jesus’ response to the question indicated the same thing. He did not rebuke the question. Rather, He simply said it was not for them to know the times and seasons when the kingdom would be restored to Israel.
  • Revelation 2:26-27 — Jesus says that He has a special reward for any “overcomer” who keeps His deeds until the end: “To him I will give authority over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron.”
  • Revelation 3:21 — Jesus makes it clear that the overcomers will reign jointly with Him: “He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” Again, the throne of Jesus is the throne of David (Luke 1:32 and Revelation 3:7). The throne of David is in Jerusalem, not in Heaven (Psalm 122). Jesus currently shares His Father’s throne. He is not sitting on His own throne and will not do so until He returns to this earth. Then He will allow the redeemed to share His throne with Him.

he Millennial temple built by Jesus in Zech.6:12-13

With the carrying away of the Jews into Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar, The House of David, The Throne of David, The Crown of David and the Kingdom of David were done away and not one of these has been restored nor will be restored until Jesus the Messiah returns to rule and reign for one thousand years at the Millennium Temple as described by Ezekiel.

Since AD 70, the Jews have had no temple. as predicted by Hosea the prophet in 746 BC: "For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king and without a prince, and without a sacrifice and without an ephod ...Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days."

We read in Zechariah, "Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both" (Zech 6:12-13). In several prophetical passages the Messiah is referred to as "the Branch" who will sit on the throne of David to rule the world. "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots" (Isa 11:1). "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth" (Jer 23:5). In Luke, the angel Gabriel proclaimed, "He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end" (Luke 1:32-33).

In AD 634, the temple mount was taken over by the Muslims. In 1099, the crusaders captured it and turned the mosques into churches. Saladin returned it to Arab rule in 1187. The Jews liberated the temple mount from Jordanian control in the Six-Day War of 1967, but later returned it to the custody of the Muslim Waqf (Jordan). Today, the "Dome of the Rock" is situated near the centre of the temple mount, with the Al Aqsa Mosque at its southern end..

....In April 572 B.C. during Passover (14 years after the destruction of Solomon's Temple) Ezekiel was given a detailed plan and specifications for the Temple, the place of worship during the Millennium.
The Millennial temple: "As described in Ezekiel (40:5 to 42:20), the outer dimensions of the temple complex form a square, 875 feet (500 cubits) across and in length. The temple faces east, as did the tabernacle and the temples of Solomon and of the Exile. The south, east, and north sides have an outer wall. Thirty rooms were also built on the second and third levels. The temple itself projects from inside the western wall, It has outer courts on three sides :south, east, and north, 175 feet in width. The very first features of the Millennial Temple described are the walls and gates (Ezekiel 40:5-37). The gates are complex security devices that must be passed by authorized persons only in order to enter the inner and outer courts (Ezekiel 40:5-16 20-37). Numerous cherubim adorn the temple (Ezekiel 41:17-20, 25). In the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:24) a purpose of cherubim was to keep persons out of unauthorized areas.

So my question to you is, Will Christ be reigning in heaven or on earth when everything is put under his feet?
if you read the chronology of Zech 14 his reign on earth is for 1000 years and then his reign will be in the new heaven and earth and new Jerusalem. If you believe the law of the prophets which is how I form my opinions all scripture will work out and not contradict itself. The prophet of God must be 100% accurate. The prophecy in Zech 14 I can point to many other prophecies that would link to it and work in harmony taken literally. Zech 14 starts with Jerusalem being over run on what is said to be the day of the LORD later it says on this day it will be light at night and that the enemies of God will be melted Indiana Jones style. Then it says the MT of Olives splits in two and a new valley is created and that a river will flow from Jerusalem year round and that the LORD who has come with His saints will be king over all the earth. Lastly it shows that all the nations from that point forward will be required to keep the feast of tabernacles or they will get no rain.
Think of Zech who predicted Jesus being betrayed for 30 pieces of silver and the money being thrown to the potter and his riding in on the foal of a donkey. The pattern has been literal and should hold up. Secondly look at Luke 1 which spoke of Jesus being a horn of salvation who would deliver Israel from their enemies and from that point on they would worship and serve the LORD in righteousness and holiness all the days of their lives. You see Paul said blindness has come upon Israel in part until .., Until the 2nd coming. In Zech the whole chapter is using the word LORD JHWH and it says in that day they will say the LORD is one. This is Jesus clearly coming with his saints and giving the literal deliverance LUKE 1 promised and from that point on they understand Jesus and Jehova are one. The passages that speak of Jesus coming with his saints are in Jude and Rev and Satan being bound and those beheaded will live and reign with him 1000 years. The scriptures are well established that upon the throne of David he will sit. Yes Jesus is on His fathers throne in heaves and that is not Davids throne. The scriptures speak of Judah and Israel the two kingdoms having one head again and that many nations will be joined to the LORD in that day.

The new covenant many have presented and 1st off I love the new covenant the glory in it. The errors of new covenant theology are not in their message of salvation as that is 100 % correct. It is in their eschatology. You can see Israel is in the cross hairs of all the nations and a one world government is rising and preparation for the return of the daily sacrifices have all been made. The futurist view of eschatology is screaming the very specifics for the peace covenant between Israel and the many starting the 70th week of Daniel are evident. The return of the sacrifice is critical for the antichrsit to commit the abomination of desolation in the middle of the week. Some argue this all happened in 70AD and yet who can remember any two witnesses arising at that time and the scope of the plagues in REV is global the catastrophes promised never happened. If the futurist view is wrong why are all the players on the stage right now taking the exact position described in the scriptures? Yes Jesus will comes and every eye will see him and he will be kind over all the earth for 1000 years while Satan is bound.
