You're answering a year later? I reconcile the Qur'an with the Bible the same way you reconcile the Old Testament with the New.

Oi...what are you doing here?? Was thinking of you earlier today. How's tricks, stranger?

Great to 'see' you again....by the way :clap:

If you see contradictions between the Tanakh and the new testament of the Bible, alright, but I don't see such that I wouldn't see how they are resolved. I don't decide between them because I believe what is shown from all of the Bible.

All people need light, and yet there is a darkness still for many, Jesus is the Light, as he said, that is needed for that darkness that many are in. Such Light has what the Bible is teaching shown, so corruption of what is to be understood is overcome, the Spirit guiding those who are believing, rather than angels being here for that. We still may have many problems yet, but Yahweh is gracious, we don't have to be overcome with our problems. Still there are many making bad choices. Yahweh is not willing that any should perish, but all with knowing of God need to come to repentance.
There is no contradiction in TORAH, PROPHETS, PSALMS, TANAKH, NEW TESTAMENT.

Any devilish attempt to make a conflict is just that, and is deceptive from the core/ start.

YHWH is Perfect in His Plan, Purpose, and Salvation in Y'SHUA MESSIAH,
and
warns wonderfully that no other way, no other religion, works nor gives any life at all , only death from them.

I was thinking you might actually name what are considered discrepancies in the Bible, there are such, not just between the old and new covenants of the Bible, but between books of the same testament, or still between statements in the same book. Those that are considered such I would deal with.

In the Bible Yahweh with all perfection is only approached by any of humanity, with the sin in their lives, through sacrifice that atones for them, with their repentance. The Qur'an disagrees directly with that. God in the Qur'an is merciful to any who submit to the pillars of Islam, with no sacrifice on their behalf, and with God as such not ever having a Son, and not able to. Even if there is response that Yahweh in the Tanakh, the old testament of the Bible, is not shown to have a Son, there are hints of the Son there, and there are a hundred prophecies that are fulfilled in Jesus.

The accounts in the Qur'an are completely different, as for Jesus, the crucifixion, and individuals in history, as Ishmael being involved in the Qur'an where he is not and another is instead, in the Bible. What Christians collectively were believing about the trinity was shown in error in the Qur'an. These are main points that I can say are too difficult to reconcile.

I am agreeing with this. There are things some people point to as alleged contradictions, these can be explained anyway.

Whatever the origin of motivation to say there are such conflicting things, indeed Yahweh is perfect, and absolutely holy, and salvation is in the Messiah, the Son of God, there is no way apart from the possibility from him, and no life forever anywhere apart from him.

As a person who practices Judaism, I'd probably tell you that Jesus doesn't fit the Hebrew scriptures in either, but I imagine you know that'd be my position.

Who is that then ?

Psalm 22[a]

For the director of music. To the tune of “The Doe of the Morning.” A psalm of David.

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?
2 My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, but I find no rest.[b]

3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the one Israel praises.[c]
4 In you our ancestors put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.
5 To you they cried out and were saved;
in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by everyone, despised by the people.
7 All who see me mock me;
they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
8 “He trusts in the Lord,” they say,
“let the Lord rescue him.
Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him.”

9 Yet you brought me out of the womb;
you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast.
10 From birth I was cast on you;
from my mother’s womb you have been my God.

11 Do not be far from me,
for trouble is near
and there is no one to help.

12 Many bulls surround me;
strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
13 Roaring lions that tear their prey
open their mouths wide against me.
14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted within me.
15 My mouth[d] is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death.

16 Dogs surround me,
a pack of villains encircles me;
they pierce[e] my hands and my feet.
17 All my bones are on display;
people stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide my clothes among them
and cast lots for my garment.

19 But you, Lord, do not be far from me.
You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
20 Deliver me from the sword,
my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;
save me from the horns of the wild oxen.

22 I will declare your name to my people;
in the assembly I will praise you.
23 You who fear the Lord, praise him!
All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!
Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!
24 For he has not despised or scorned
the suffering of the afflicted one;
he has not hidden his face from him
but has listened to his cry for help.

25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;
before those who fear you[f] I will fulfill my vows.
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied;
those who seek the Lord will praise him—
may your hearts live forever!

27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,
28 for dominion belongs to the Lord
and he rules over the nations.

29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship;
all who go down to the dust will kneel before him—
those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 Posterity will serve him;
future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 They will proclaim his righteousness,
declaring to a people yet unborn:
He has done it!

Jesus Christ had the audacity to say...

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. - John 14:6

I would not want to try eternity without him! If the Bible has it right, then the three-time heavyweight boxing champion is now coping with something far, far worse than Parkinson's disease.
Muhammad still exists through his message ... Muhammad called us to believe in the Christ and that he is the way to god but it is not the only one...Mohammad is another way to reach god with the continuity to believe in the Christ

David doesn't fullfill all of psalm 22 but Jesus does.

Matthew 24

22 “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked.

They all answered, “Crucify him!”

23 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.

But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”

24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”

25 All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!”

26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

The Soldiers Mock Jesus
27 Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him. 28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, 29 and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said. 30 They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again. 31 After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

The Crucifixion of Jesus
32 As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. 33 They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”). 34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it. 35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots. 36 And sitting down, they kept watch over him there. 37 Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.

38 Two rebels were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left. 39 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads 40 and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!” 41 In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. 42 “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” 44 In the same way the rebels who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

The Death of Jesus
45 From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. 46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,[c] lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).[d]

47 When some of those standing there heard this, they said, “He’s calling Elijah.”

48 Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. 49 The rest said, “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.”

50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

It isn't a prophecy. What's there to fulfill? It's describing David's life.

16 Dogs surround me,
a pack of villains encircles me;
they pierce[e] my hands and my feet.
17 All my bones are on display;
people stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide my clothes among them
and cast lots for my garment.

they pierce[e] my hands and my feet.
thats describing the cruxcifiction. When did that happen to David ?

12 Many bulls surround me;
strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.

27 Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.

the soldiers were Arabic Syrians from the area of bashan who encircled Jesus.
Because the Roman empire was stretched so far they used local recruitment under Roman leadership
THere is so much detail in Psalm 22 for christians who know scripture that is amazing when it was written.

Can you show me where psalms 22: 16,17,18 happen to david ? Just for a start.

One more,
v17, For dogs have surrounded me;
A band of evildoers has encompassed me,
my hands and feet.

(as though they are crushed in a lions mouth,
and so did Hezekiah say, in Isa 38:13-"like a lion,
so it would break all my bones.")

Robban pointed out the second possible translation, however, David constantly describes his enemies as animals that are attacking him. This is not out of sync with plenty of other Psalms.

Well I can't help being suspicious about this. It is dropping "they pierce"
It really doesn't fit with verses 17,18 when its changed.

Matthew
46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”)

On the cross Christ is referencing the first verse of psalm 22

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?

which at the end of psalm 22 ends in victory for the lord.

pslam 22
18 They divide my clothes among them
and cast lots for my garment.

Did this happen to David ?
Many of the verses seem to point to what Christ went through on the cross.

If I write on here that I had a good friend but he stabbed me in the back, would you assume it's a prophecy because I was not actually stabbed?

Here's something else for you. This is not a Jewish source. See what they write is the literal translation from the Hebrew?

http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/OTpdf/psa22.pdf

Just an aside, a Jewish man in the first century quoting Psalm 22 doesn't make it a fulfillment of prophecy.

It is also a prayer concerning nation Israel, Jewry the world over have had possesions taken, been driven out of lands,
murdered,
Germany in the thirties, ring a bell?

The entire nation Israel comprise a single soul,
only the bodies seperate.

In any case "Pierce" is pretty smug way to put having Nails hammered into hands and feet.

Or would reckon.

they pierce[e] my hands and my feet.

No place in the Bible is this word translated as “pierced”. Every other place it occurs it is correctly translated as “lion”, just like my name.
