Your opinion is completely in your own mind. Your view of the matter does not apply to other people.
If you lead a gay friend to Christ who happens to be legally married to a same-sex partner...would it be a sin for them to divorce? What about remarriage in a heterosexual relationship?
Two humans signing a contract with government stating that they will live their lives for each other is a construct of man and not of God. It does serve it's purposes....as it can have financial benefits and protect the natural lives of the two in the contract. I dont believe this is a spiritual topic......I dont believe God is too concerned with what is done with the contracts we make with government regardless of the sexes of the individuals involved......it can be likened to an agreement two men make and sign when entering into a business venture/partnership. I havent seen a thread about breaking up a business venture gone bad......no one condemned to hell for that.
So rest easy and pick something else to worry about.
I think you replied to the wrong post....as I spoke nothing of the bible and also stated that I dont believe this is a spiritual topic.....its more of a business topic. But feel free to add your biblical opinions to the discussion.....but make them your own...dont try to make dogma out of my statements.Romans 13
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. 2 So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment 3 (for rulers cause no fear for good conduct but for bad). Do you desire not to fear authority? Do good and you will receive its commendation, 4 for it is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be in fear, for it does not bear the sword in vain. It is God’s servant to administer retribution on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath of the authorities but also because of your conscience. 6 For this reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants devoted to governing. 7 Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.
Thus by your logic Gay Marriage is Biblical because of Romans 13.
I am happy now that it is settled by Romans 13 and your statement that Gay Marriage is now Biblical.

In the eyes of God Marriage is between a man and a woman. So, it is not a sin for a gay couple to separate or get a civil divorce and remarry a person of the opposite sex.
Bottom line it is God's definition of Marriage that counts.
I believe that God is inside the loop, outside the loop, and is the very loop itself.Oh, I think God is very powerful and created all we have.
None seems outside his will. I don't feel God is out of the loop
in anything we do.

To those who are within, it is given to them to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. To those without, all things are done in parable. I encourage you to continue to interpret the bible in the flesh using well known, everyday meanings...until you are shown something different.Did God create marriage in Genesis 2 -- or is this simply "a function of man-made-tradition"?
Did Christ affirm God-ordained marriage in the Gospels - or did he declare that it is just a man-made-convention?

Wow, let's twist the scriptures into a double knot pretzle shall we? The scripture talks about obedience to the laws. If the law tells you you have to do such and such then you should obey. The scripture also tells us that if the laws counter God's laws then we should disobey man's laws and obey God's. God's laws are supreme over man's.

Fellowship is important. This is not the Garden of Eden.
“In no uncertain terms, we demanded that you not teach in this name. And look at you! You have filled Jerusalem with your teaching. And you are determined to hold us responsible for this man’s death.”Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than humans! - Acts 5:28-29 Bible Gateway passage: Acts 5:28-29 - Common English BibleReally? Where is that?
Gay people are no worse sinners than anyone else. Satan didn't create sinners. Men are led away by their own sinful hearts. Those practicing homosexuality are no worse that anyone else who is practicing sinful behavior. All have sinned and all are in need of a savior. So gay people were Created by Satan? Verse please.
Marriage was set up by God between man and woman. It's the only marriage he recognizes. All forms of civil recognition of marriage are all irrelevant to God as he did not ordain a specific type of ceremony. He only identified that marriage was between a man and woman. All other accutraments to that are man made.
