If causality requires time, and if time began to exist in the Big Bang, then how was the Big Bang caused?

The BB never happened. How it was caused belongs in your "scientific" realm. Something for you to explain...or not.
It points directly towards the need for a creator. A creator who exist outside of time.

Who created the creator?

OK so you've established that your creator exists outside of time. Which of these three would you choose?

A) God created time.
B) Time always existed, independently of God. So there is an infinite progression of time into both the past and the future. At some point, God created things inside time.
C) Time spontaneously appeared.

Or are there other options I'm missing?

A....God created time. The expanse, the fabric of space.

Which would you choose?

Why are you still on this? Are you simply not reading what I'm saying?

Would you be interested in participating in a formal debate on this issue? We can let the peanut gallery decide whose case is more convincing.

The only neutral site I'm aware of is debatingchristianity.com, although it may have been overrun with atheists by now.

You wouldn't want to have a formal debate here on CF?

Sure, but first you need to go through this thread and see how many Christians already disagree with your position. If you won't see it now, then you won't see it later and thus there would be no point.

Ok I've reviewed it. I'll get things started over at the Formal Debate Proposal forum.

It's not a matter of choice. It's a matter of truth. I kind of set you up there.

In any case, if you choose/believe that God created time, then causality was not involved. Again,

Space and time must already exist in order for a causal event to occur. "Causality" is shorthand for "processes act on a system to take it from one state to another over a duration of time." So in a reality wherein time does not exist, causality does not exist.

So God could not have caused time to exist unless you believe he can perform logically impossible tasks.
