It seems that people who participate on this forum have strong opinions about eschatology. I am surprised more of you have not figured out these basic dates so that they fit with your eschatological view...

When was Jesus born?
Yahchristian: Fall of 5 BC
keras: 5 BC

When was Jesus baptized?
Yahchristian: Fall of 26 AD
keras: Mid 29 AD

When was Jesus crucified?
Yahchristian: Spring of 30 AD
keras: April 3, 33 AD

When was the start of the first 69 weeks?
Yahchristian: Fall of 458 BC
keras: ???

When was the end of the first 69 weeks?
Yahchristian: Fall of 26 AD
keras: ???

P.S. According to my dates, the first 69 weeks lasted 483 years (69 * 7), and Jesus was 30 when he was baptized and 33 1/2 when he was crucified.

Do you want a pat on the back for this?

No. But if your view of eschatology is correct, shouldn't you be able to find dates for these basic events that would fit within your view...

When was Jesus born?

When was Jesus baptized?

When was Jesus crucified?

When was the start of the first 69 weeks?

When was the end of the first 69 weeks?

what does this mean?

We can rule out some eschatological views simply because they cannot come up with any dates that work for all of these events...

When was Jesus born?

When was Jesus baptized?

When was Jesus crucified?

When was the start of the first 69 weeks?

When was the end of the first 69 weeks?

Could you please post your answers to these questions.

Based on recent archeological evidence, Herod the Great died in 4 BC.

Mat 3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
Mat 3:17
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Act 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

The verse above was the end of the 69th week, when Christ was baptized with the Holy Spirit from heaven after John the Baptist put Him under the waters of the Jordan River, about 26-27 AD.

He was crucified in 30 AD, which was one generation before 70 AD.

....if your view of eschatology is correct......
No one is correct. You're all - "all" meaning end-times junkies - just making a bunch of guesses based upon what makes you feel good about the "end times", or what you've heard others say.

If the "holy spirit" was really guiding you folks in these assumptions, you'd all be on the same page.....and you're not......either someone is right, or everyone is wrong.

I'm going with the latter......

44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Did that happen in 500 AD ? No.

I think we are within one year on most.

Birth: around 6-5 BC

70 weeks prophecy started: 457 BC

End of 69th week: 26-27 AD (at baptism in the Jordan)

The book "The Atonement Clock" by Christian Gedge is my favorite source on the Hebrew calendar.

It happened in 380 AD with the Edict of Thessalonica.

Jesus set up his kingdom in 30 AD and it struck the Roman Empire in the time of the "feet" in 380 AD, which was before the time of the "toes" in 476 AD.

Daniel 2:34-35... Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

In my chart, the top level represents Jesus' kingdom. I have it starting in 30 AD and rising until 380 AD when Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire.

Herod the Great's death in 4 BC is not recent but the opinion of more than a century and it's not based on archaeology but Josephus mention of the lunar eclipse that occurred near his Herod's death. However, there is recent evidence that points to 1 BC as being a much more likely date.

P.S.

I am curious why you have a fixed year for the beginning of the 69 weeks but you don't for the ending. Shouldn't the ending just be 483 years after the beginning?

If I had to guess, I would say that you are a Seventh Day Adventist and you feel obligated to stick with the 457 BC date for the beginning. Correct me if I am mistaken.

As interesting as these dates may be, I don't think they have any relevance to eschatology.

My view of eschatology, plain and simple:

2In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am. John 14 2-3

It is in the days of the ten toes, not before the ten toes. The feet and toes are one kingdom. The Rock cut without hand strikes the feet and the statue tumbles down. The feet and toes are of the same material.

34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

Wen the Kingdom of God is the ruling kingdom here on earth, there will be war no more between the nations.

Isaiah 2:4

4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
