This Daniel scripture says this:
Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
The prophecy of Daniel is very important to understand for one who calls oneself a Christian. Christ referred to the prophecy as a very important event to those with understanding:
Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoso readeth, let him understand.
Desolation is a pretty big word for your "everyday Christian Church goer". Your folks believed, you had friends and relatives who believed, so what is the deal? Today is no different then 2000 years ago.
This prophecy must be about the Jews who are going to rebuild the temple, and then some abomination in their temple is going to occur. If you believe that, then you will likely find the scripture I mention in Daniel 12:10 as self fulfilling. Christ died and arose, and carnal sacrifice has ceased, and there is no more purpose for it.
Understanding the Daniel prophecy will take understanding, (and faith of course) and what is the source of understanding?
Deu 4:5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
Deu 4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
Deu 4:7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
Deu 4:8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
So you may say: Well Christ has given me an understanding greater then the laws of God, and well, I guess I must bow down to your great wisdom for whatever that is? You will say then, yes, God has given me His love which is beyond knowledge. Love God and Love your fellow man and that is understanding. I guess, then, you are not familiar to the old testament scriptures:
Deu 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Deu 10:19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Lev 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
Loving your neighbor is not killing, not stealing, no adultery, no lying, and not coveting, and if you have obeyed those commands from the heart, my hats off to you.
Loving God is more complicated, especially if your a Christian, because they're a lot more commandments to consider than what I listed. Christ said He came to fullfil the law and the prophets:
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
This makes doing the Love of God much more difficult to understand, because what does it actually mean to fulfill the law and the prophets. This can really involve some deep spiritual things such as what is written here:
Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
Col 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
A fulfilling of the Word of God makes for the difference between those who understand the Word and those sleeping in their delusion.
I have many revelations concerning the prophecy of Daniel, and it is something I cannot express in short, and I am a little hesitant in showing these things on the internet. But seeing these things make you realize the truth about what Paul said:
Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Eph 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
What was the love of Christ that was so special, that He gave His life to obtain? A love that goes beyond knowledge and I then would say it is unspeakable but not without understanding. Speech is for teaching the children who are learning but the time will be fulfilled when there will be no need of one saying Know the Lord:
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Has anyone obtained this point yet. And by the way, where does the law of God require us to teach? Is that in the 5 commandments I listed earlier?
Sincerely
