Do you think that vampires exist?

I think vampires belong in the realm of bigfoot, fairies, gnomes and mothman. It's just something human beings inexplicably see or have experiences of.
They don't have "experiences of" vampires. They've read the novels or seen the movies that are loosely based upon them.

The novels get them from the legends. People still "experience" whatever this is even today, mostly in the middle east. People still see all that stuff, even in groups sometimes. I'm not saying that what they experience is literally something that exists though.

There are no vampires and never were. While you may be right that legends preceded Bram Stoker, you're not referring to experiences, but to fictitious beings from popular mythology.

I am referring to experiences. People have experiences of vampires, among other bizarre things like big foot, in the middle east. Not books, but experiences.

As I said I'm not saying that what they experience is something that literally exists.

No, you're not referring to "experiences" of vampires.

You may be referring to people who have experienced hallucinations or visual or tactile evidence that was mistakenly attributed to "vampires"... but that's not to have experienced vampires.

As the person speaking I know what I am referring to.

OK, refer away. Describe exactly what you are referring to, not just that people tell tales of supposedly having experienced or seen "vampires."

Is it humans who never die and never decay--unless they're caught in the sunlight, that is--who can see buried treasure, move on rays of light, avoid gold, and all of that? Just what are you referring to?

In an infinite universe not only is anything possible but everything is probable. That being said, there are not now, nor have there ever been, any actual vampires on the face of the very finite Earth.

Right. So I'm supposed to tell you that people have had experiences without using experiences as an example.

Its just some unconfirmed creature out in the wilderness that they call a vampire. It doesn't follow that lore you mention. They have several creatures that they say are real and experience...even big foot out in the desert.

So, you're not talking about vampires at all. You're saying that some people have reported unexplained sightings (which may be true or not) and they're calling them "vampires." :sigh:

If "vampire" is constrained to every entertainment movie and book ever made then they have not had experiences of vampires. I am assuming the OP is asking a deeper question than are movies real.

Do you think that vampires exist and what do you think about that?

Hi jakil,

There are people who drink human blood. However, that isn't how vampires operate. Are there creatures, either human or not, who have some front fang capillary tube through their teeth to their stomach or their own blood system that allows them to bite someone and drain their blood from them through their fangs? Absolutely, unequivocally no!

God bless you,
In Christ, ted

Why not call these unknown creatures that may or may not exist and don't have any characteristics that are associated with vampires...by some other name and let it go at that?

Because the "vampire" myth is not limited to one area of the world. It goes as far back as Babylon. Maybe I overestimated the conversation. I had assumed the OP was asking a deeper question than are movies real.
