"Where did Jesus (as one who was taught by his father) get what he said to Nicodemous that as a master in Israel he should have known? And how many forms of this can you see?"

You have come up with one form it can be seen in.

Ezekiel 36:25-27

Not sure what you mean by "how many forms"?

Born again is a very broad term, words that were not used by anyone in the OT to describe a new beginning. So what you see in Abraham's journey over a son, you can see in Israel's journey collectively as a son. The thing about the OT is that the pattern of this keeps on being repeated over and over in ways to numerous to count, like a dove never finding rest for the soul of HER (very important) feet, until you see Jesus coming up out of the waters of baptism.

Baptism is a word that has much depth of meaning when looked upon in the vernacular of that time. Most anyone I know looks upon Baptism as the ritual we all know so well. The word derives from the Greek "baptizo", a transitive verb "I wash" used in Jewish text for ritual washing. Greek meaning to wash, to cleanse or purify by washing, to dip, immerse...

Luke 11:38, the Jews were quite distressed that Jesus failed to 'baptize' his hands before eating. Mark 7:4 talks about "baptizing" food. Mark 10:38 Jesus speaks deeply about his baptism to yet be completed, as in Luke 12:49

The Jews that Jesus took the gospel to had a very different understanding of what baptism truly meant, as it pertained to being 'unclean' or 'defiled'.

Words (specifically God's Word/words) and as you have no doubt experienced by him) change as to what they mean to us as they begin to grow in us; like the word tree. If you have seen only one kind of tree (not to mention if you be only heard by the hearing of the ear), that will be all it means to you, but if you have seen all the forests, groves, and orchards of the earth, with their seasons, complied by their years, and how they react to each other through understanding, the word tree to you becomes the sum of all that you have seen and know up to this point (though even in this there is an I die daily).

I understand what you are getting at, now! Yes! Many examples in the OT. The OT was all there was for scripture for the disciples...which pointed to Christ.

Thank you!

Oh! The tree! Such depth, breadth, width and height to His Word/s. :D That SEED that falls on good ground and grows into a TREE where all the birds of the air flock to for shelter...where LIFE is found... the Light overcomes the darkness and 'world' knowledge is obscured and the heavenlies are opened.

As HIS light shines further on The Way, we can SEE where we are heading...though we may not quite be there...hope of things not seen...but we have heard by the grace of God.

I do not hear voices in my head. Nor do I hear voices with my ears that nobody else can hear.
I wasn't referring to audible voices. I was referring to the spirit who guides our hearts and minds, as we meditate on the word.

Every Christian would believe that God guides by the scriptures and by the Holy Spirit. Not every Christian is willing to say they hear the voice of God.

I've actually a few times have heard it audible, and more times then I can count inside my head, yet this is not the only way I have heard, most of the time I hear by seeing.

What does HIS word say.. its HE that is the word and the word is He.

Now He is not like man. Every word He speaks is life and HAS to do what HE said. He does not every say any empty words. So when He said "my sheep KNOW my voice" that is exactly what He means. VOICE. You never have to wonder. Why? Because HE said my sheep KNOW not guess not wonder. If that was the truth He would have said that. You always KNOW its Him.

If you believe you cant always hear Him or the like that is what you will get. WHAT SO EVERY you desire. Gods never going to go against your will or what YOU say. This life and all the evil in it should have shown you by now that GOD does not ever go against our will. WE seek and ask and PRAY for a reason. That gives HIm the right to act.

Anyway.. yes you can hear Him and like a song.. this life is like a slap in the face GOD is REAL!

What a wondrous thing to find your soul and enter into the gates of the/her city; where all of our thoughts/children find their rest by being gathered together into one.
Ahhh, blessed rest. His promises are true.

God chooses the way He speaks. I have no control over it, but im grateful that i do hear His voice. Its like a communion within. No need for words because i have the word inside, i.e. His written word. I feel His love too, thats a language all its own.
