The White House said Thursday that it wants to see money for President Trump’s border wall included in the spending bill Congress must pass next week — a demand Democrats said sours negotiations and makes a government shutdown more likely.

The demands mark a reversal for the administration, which had been saying it found enough money to build prototypes this year and wouldn’t need a major infusion of cash until next year.

But White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday that the wall and the money for more immigration agents are priorities.

Donald Trump wants border wall funds in must-pass spending bill

Here's a real-knee-slapper:

“We know there are a lot of people on the Hill, especially in the Democratic Party, who don’t like the wall, but they lost the election. And the president should, I think, at least have the opportunity to fund one of his highest priorities in the first funding bill under his administration,” Mr. Mulvaney said.

In other words: "He won the election so we should give him everything he wants..."

Question: Noting that the Republicans control both houses of Congress, why is Trump threatening the Democrats with a government shutdown -- his government, btw -- if he doesn't get what he wants?

I think going to war with Mexico to get the money is a better option. They promised to pay for the wall, now it is time to collect.
I say go to war with New Zealand to make Mexico pay for the wall.

Special interests on the globalist side is why. Globalist is bi-partisan and quite a few R's are against this too, due to, they get their money from multi national corporations a.k.a. foreign money, like but not limited too Mexico.

Another special interest is Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the U.S. fund ISIS (Globalist agenda) and to go nationalist (build a wall) secure our borders to prevent ISIS getting in, is our money spent against our money that funds ISIS.
To keep the sheep in line ( to do above national policy)it makes it difficult to get radicals over the border to scare the public in giving up rights gladly, thus the OP.

Can we say conflict of interest? When money runs the government you get this issue (OP) that stems from allowing foreign and domestic corporations to be seen as a person in the constitution. Which in effect, took "the people" out of the constitution no matter our party preference. So I reiterate, thinking in duopoly mode is a lie to keep the sheep "thinking" they got choice. D & R serve foreign and domestic corporations. Which makes this government an oligarchy ran by deep state. However, Trump is making it difficult for the globalist deep state and puppets (A.K.A elected officials that take foreign money = Globalist) by going nationalistic in policy. Thus the OP and conflict of governance for the elected officials on the domestic corporate tit vs globalist foreign tit clash in bi-partisan greed.

It is a hope that we stop this duopoly mind set that is just a complex show, theater, lie, to lose the truth that on the Federal level there is no R or D. There is only you the serf vs them the kings. Notice how kings have no law put to them selves? Think on this for a day, do some homework on oligarchies then look at your federal government and corporate elites and ask why do these not go to jail? Why, they are your kings is why commoner. Ya might want to consider not paying to be ruled = Taxation "without" representation as our voice was taken in that constitution.

In hopes this breaks people out of duopoly mode of thinking for this is lie, and further, waists your time and energy (as it is designed to do). But most importantly your intelligence, as a D will gladly lose to an R and visa versa that before a progressive will be let in seats of power. Going to rephrase that last sentence in different terminology ...

Money(D) will gladly lose to money(R) for they are singular in mission statement, that is, profit no matter the human rights violations (DAPL, Michigan water, sells the people health care for profit, educational debt, etc.) and so a progressive (Humanity and earth come first in policy) can not be given a seat of power for they are not on the mission statement of profit/capitalism/oligarchy . A progressive seeks to include the public (serfs to the now established oligarchy through foreign money) .Rant complete.

A wall will not secure the border. It's just a feel-good measure that doesn't do anything except stop the laziest of people attempting to cross.

Trump should pay for the wall.

He can use the earnings from the labor savings his hotel properties have enjoyed over the years by employing illegal immigrants.

Oh! Good idea. Or how about a "Go Fund Me" for people that want the wall built? That way the government need only spend money on design, and all the rest will be funded by people that want that wall-people from all over the world-maybe even Mexico!

A wall will not secure the border. It's just a feel-good measure that doesn't do anything except stop the laziest of people attempting to cross.

Its not the wall in of itself . That is the "issue only" for your distraction of the disease of national and multinational corporations run our nation.

How exactly is the wall going to stop ISIS from getting in? I'm not sure you'll be able to find any examples of Islamic terrorists entering the USA from the southern border

It is not going to stop it as you well know, right? So why the big to do? To get you to spend your time and energy on a issue played in the lie of a duopoly mind set A.K.A theater, puppet show, that is complex in its make up too include the MSM in what our mind takes in as truth then repeats it here or other sites we visit. Watch a 30 year Navy veteran describe an enemy domestic has been identified in the video below. Is this your fault, heavens no!! We have trusted the system all our lives and are now seeing we are serfs being mind manipulated by the "5 corporations" that own all "MSM" news. Can we say monopoly in narrative propaganda like the OP ? There is no Dems or Repubs it is national corps vs multinational corps that leaves us to watch policies we never voted for come to fruition because we do not have a voice in the "constitutional make up" (<-- The disease, that causes all these issues as it is written to see a corporation as a person both foreign and domestic) . Thus, Russia gate (And Rachel Maddow beating war drums to scare you with) , as an issue, when ALL foreign corporations are viewed as people in the constitution (<--the disease, that causes said issues) and in reality a national rep cant point at a multinational rep and say Russia sympathizer or no funding for the wall from the multinational rep labeled in the OP as dems but that in itself is lie for repubs too answer to multi national (<-- foreign money for political policies that includes Russian corporations) corps too.

So, all that is left is article 5 ... Watch entire video and home work on what is Wolf Pac.

D & R is fictional theater we find ourselves playing in the lie of it and reaffirmed in channels such as c-span to blame one or the other party to make ourselves feel good in the complexities of the puppet show. Corporation runs our government not the puppets we watch as front men on TV or mainstream articles in controlling propaganda fed to the sheep in ... issues to distract from the disease ...The constitution.

Don't give Trump any ideas.
I would have no problem with the wall if its construction and operation was privately funded with all the land to build it being voluntary acquired.

That's a good idea, maybe it can be done with all the government handout programs too...

Good -- maybe then Trump can stop threatening to cut off insurance for sick people if he doesn't get his way.

We already tried that in Arizona. It didn't go too well.

Arizona’s attempt to privately fund a $50 million border fence has ended in failure. According to the Associated Press, the five-year campaign managed to draw in only a fraction of the donations the proposal required.

Hi Aryeh,

They (Mexico) promised to pay for the wall? When? Where? Besides I think building a wall to a neighbor is not only against the teachings of Jesus Christ (to love your neighbor as yourself) but also a dumb thing to do.
God bless
