I have been a Christian since about four or five, although I had a period last year of identifying as atheist then Taoist. People say a true Christian would never do that. That I wasn't saved before, or if I was saved I've crossed an unforgivable line. Could I have been saved? It scares me so much, if I wasn't saved, and I blasphemed and had those soul-selling thoughts does this mean I am irreversibly condemned to hell? I was so sure I loved God growing up, I want to repent and have the love and trust I had before, but can I not be saved? Am I saved? I hate that I ever strayed. I was so depressed, I ran a blog of uplifting things that I noticed most came from Buddhism, which led me away. I never was convinced by Buddhism but I see what a lie Taoism was now. I just want to be saved. I want to be at peace. I need mercy. I hope I am not reprobate or beyond forgiveness. Is there any way that doubt doesn't mean I wasn't saved? Or do I even have a chance? What do I do?

People who say those "not a true Christian" thing don't think to put themselves in other peope's shoes.

This is only causing you fear. Fear/terror and love can't really exist at the same time. You're worrying over nothing. You are fine. You will be fine.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved. (Matthew 24:13)

You can be saved if you remain faithful and obey God.

Does my past unfaithfulness disqualify me? I'm afraid I failed.

I say this with love, but I would assert that you did not have much of a relationship with Jesus if you walked away. It sounds like your faith still rests in His existence as opposed to speaking with Him all day, every day, and having your faith rest on His promises that He speaks to you. I have a YouTube channel dedicated to forming relationship with God. I would encourage you to start here in forming a deep and intimate relationship, and in doing so, you will never fall away again because you will see His hand in your life daily, and your faith will rest on greater things in this walk than just believing on Him. It's devastating to me. I am not saved? Not one of God's children? God hasn't forgiven my sins? I wish I had never doubted. I feel like the wicked only able to store up wrath. I'm so afraid.

Hi,

There are many bible verses stating that you can indeed be saved from your sins.
For example:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)

I'm not sure how old you are, but I assume fairly young. It seems you are not really "grounded" in your faith and perhaps you haven't been receiving good instruction regarding the fundamentals of the Christian faith.
My advice, is to attend a church weekly and if possible, attend a church which offers a course called "ALPHA".
This is a phenomenal program offered by many evangelical churches.
You should consider attending a church where they teach the fundamentals of the gospel and is not merely legalistic or based on tradition instead of the Word of God.
I would also highly recommend a bible study.

If you are asking if salvation is closed off to you, the answer is no. If you are asking if you are saved currently, I would need to know a lot more, it's not as simple as many people make it out to be, but also more simple than people do in many ways as well.

There isn't a thing about your experience that would prove that you were not saved. Relax. The fact is that we are saved by Faith, but temptations will still come along and we will still sin. We're human. However, we will always come back. That's what "the Eternal Security of the Believer" is all about.

I'm scared. My family says I always look sick. I want to cry and throw up. I want to be saved how do I know if I was saved?

I attend a church weekly, twice a week when I can. I'm so scared. I've talked to the pastor before about my fear and he told me the unpardonable sin is unbelief to death but I'm terrified.

In one sense, none of us knows. But in another, we do.

If you believe that Christ is your Lord and Savior and trust him to be true to his promises (he told his followers not to worry but to trust him), you are saved.

I'm so scared. I want to be saved. I'm just not sure I believe once saved always saved. I thought I was saved, so many people on CF (not to say they're all bad people or false prophets) just seem like it's so easy and logical I wasn't saved. I'm afraid if I wasn't saved I have committed unpardonable sins and cannot be saved now.

It's a lifestyle decision that leads to salvation, not a singular moment or prayer. A full surrender to the specific will of Jesus in your life. Again, I must ask, what is your relationship with God like? Do you know His voice? Do you follow His voice, daily? Do you take every thought captive and only follow Him and not your own thoughts? Do you allow Him to give you your every word and every action like He did with His Father? For those who claim to live in God must walk like Jesus walked.

You may have sinned. We all do. But the 'unpardonable sin' is something else, as your pastor told you.

Now it's bad. Ever since I doubted and came back I've off and on terror. As a kid... I was not perfect, I was pretty selfish. But I believed God was true and I had miraculous experiences. I thought I loved God. Everyone seems to think I never knew Him. That makes me want to cry and the fear of it makes me sick. If that's not God.... how do I find Him? If I never knew God how could I find Him? Especially after blaspheming, and those soul-selling thoughts. I'm afraid.

If you believe that Christ is your Lord and Savior and trust him to be true to his promises (he told his followers not to worry but to trust him), you are saved.
In love I say: We can know if we are saved. If you don't know that should give you pause to question why don't you know. I know I am saved. Jesus could come back today and I would not be afraid because I live a lifestyle that allows Him to lead me to salvation, bring me His faith, His righteousness, His hope, His joy, and all things good because I have fully surrendered my life to the specific will of Jesus for me daily. If He came back, He would find me following His Father's will (as mediated through Jesus). I pray without ceasing (talking to God about everything, prayer is a two-way conversation) I know His voice and I follow. I take every thought captive and only follow His voice and not my own thoughts. I allow Him to give me my every word and every action, even as we speak together now. This is how He walked with His Father and the Bible says those who claim to live in God must walk like Jesus walked.

Repentance: Denying self.
Faith: Giving every moment of your life to the specific will of Jesus, daily.

No we will not be perfect, but we can have perfect hearts, and my heart deeply yearns to follow Him at 100% all day, every day and I do my best to do just that!

My YouTube Channel is devoted to this walk as I've stated, and the revelation God has revealed to me by doing just that. You can find that, here: Daniel Quartararo - YouTube if you wish to know more and assure your salvation as well. God bless you, in Jesus' mighty name!

I think I'm going to meet with him again. I'm so scared and confused. I need help. (Not that everyone on CF isn't helpful) I need a person with me.

I'm afraid because I know about verses like Matthew 12:31-32, Mark 3:30, Luke 12:10. The "Lord, Lord.... Depart from Me, I never knew you." Hebrews 6:4-6. This is real. It's there. I'm afraid it may be on me.
