God have mercy.

Praying.

Don't they know that what goes around comes around, and that this blatant bullying and bigotry and picking fights where there was NONE, will boomerang right back to where it started from?

This applies:

"As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come." ~Proverbs 26:2

They just brought a curse on their own selves.

Despicable.

Apparently, the militant homosexuals and liberal media (buzzfeed, huffpo, etc) can't stand the fact that the couple attends an evangelical church that teaches *gasp* that homosexuality is a sin and that marriage is between one man and one woman.

How long until they demand HGTV cancel the show? All over the private religious beliefs if the hosts.
I couldn't make it past the first couple of lines of the article for all the "get Todd's new book!" inarticle ads.

Who are they "under fire" from, specifically?

As if it couldn't get any worse.

I like how the article writer responds with, "
Well, here’s a truth bomb for Cosmo and Buzzfeed. It’s really none of your business where Chip and Joanna Gaines worship."

Seriously, picking on a random host because of the church they go to?

If they used something about their church to flaunt a belief on their show, then the media and social media should bring it up or debate or care....but this is just stupid

With this mindset, they could technically say this about any celebrity who goes to church since most denominations have this stance

I'm pretty sure I've seen them do a house for a gay couple. Maybe they were just brothers....
Best I can tell, this is all about their personal, off-the-job lives. Most people who believe homosexuality is a sin wouldn't have a problem interacting with them professionally.

The article lists these:

“Chip and Joanna Gaines’s Pastor Preaches ‘Homosexuality is a Sin’” – blared a headline on Cosmopolitan.

“Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Church is Firmly Against Same-Sex Marriage,” screamed a Buzzfeed headline. “Their pastor considers homosexuality to be a ‘sin’ caused by abuse – whether the Fixer Upper couple agrees is unclear.”

And user base:

Our friends at Newsbusters tracked down this item from US Weekly:

“As a Fixer Upper fan, I would love to know @joannagaines and @chippergaines’s thoughts on their pastor’s hateful, anti-LGBT beliefs,” one viewer declared. Another went further, writing: “If Chip and Joanna Gaines end up being anti-LGBT, I am cancelling my mag subscription and ignoring their show.”

In 8 years we went from "homosexuality is a sin" being the social default position, to that being enough reason for you to be socially crucified. It's crazy how fast things flipped.

I'd rather not. For one, a few bakers aren't "most people", or even most bakers.

Well? Does he?

Well? Is it?

And? if it's OK for some people to boycott businesses and individuals for being pro LGBT, why shouldn't the reverse apply?

Please let's not fall for the trick of getting swept up in an engineered publicity stunt. Celebrities' religious affiliations are rarely (if ever) made media fodder without them being complicit.

It has been a rapid change in terms of how fast these things go, but it's taken longer than 8 years. But this is what happens when a social convention is challenged, and it's supporters can't come up with a compelling defence of it. As I've said elsewhere; you want people who don't share your specific brand of Christianity to be against homosexuality? Come up with a valid reason.

They might be, but what do any of those sources say that makes them "under fire"? Specifically?
It's quoted in the article in the OP. I believe JCF already posted the relevant bits.

In the early days of the revolution it is necessary to condemn all of those from the past, to make a fresh start and enable the glorious utopia to finally arrive.

And comrade, it's always year 1 of the revolution.
