Does Donald Trump parallel the Biblical man Jehu? Jehu's story is found in II Kings 9 & 10. Jehu was the chosen and anointed person to bring about the prophesied judgment on the corrupt house of King Ahab, including Queen Jezebel. I believe that God has raised up Donald Trump to bring down the corrupt political influence of the Clintons and their liberal allies.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton exemplify the very essence of Jehu and Jezebel. Most Christians know about Jezebel. She held great control over her husband, King Ahab. She corruptly believed they were above the law and as queen (Hillary as Secretary of State) used others make up false accusations and lies to cause the death of Naboth in order to steal his vineyard. (I Kings 21:13-16) She was mean-spirited, manipulative, twisted the truth, and refused to admit guilt and wrongdoing. This pretty much describes Hillary Clinton.

Most Christians do not know about King Jehu. Before he became king, Jehu was a brash army commander of Israel. He learned toughness and developed the skills of a leader, like Trump did as a business man, and was not preparing to be king. He was not a king's son, in other words was not part of the establishment. He was prophesied over and anointed as king for a specific purpose, to remove the corrupt government of Ahab and Jezebel. (II Kings 9:1-10) His enemies considered him a madman. (II Kings 9:20) He did not worry about political correctness when describing Queen Jezebel as a corrupt and evil person. (II kings 9:22) He was not intimidated by Jezebel's accusations of treason. In fact in the end, he exhibited presidential qualities and ignored her lies. (II Kings 9:30-34) After he became king, he was enabled to bring peace and prosperity in the land. (II Kings 10:30) This pretty much describes Donald Trump.

This election is not as much about Donald Trump but rather the judgment of the Clintons and liberals that influence and control many areas of the government and culture. Could it be that God is orchestrating a clear judgment and defeat of corrupt Hillary Clinton and her liberal allies? Pray that God brings them to account. (Psalms 10:15) This could provide a mandate to enable a real restoration of Biblical and constitutional principles to our government and culture.

I can see this is your first post. Welcome to CF. You may want to drop in to the introduce yourself thread so you get a warm welcome.

Now on your parallel of Jehu and Trump. Interesting and we'll written and referenced. But things did not end up well for Jehu as he embraced the establishment and eventually his house was blotted out.

uhmmm...no, I suspect you're wrong about all of the above. I notice you also didn't discuss how Jehu basically exterminated anyone who he thought of as an enemy.

Maybe that is a metaphor for "drain the swamp."

You took the OP too literal. The OP was applying in eisegesis as opposed to exegesis.

Thanks for your welcome. This is totally new to me. I wrote a more indepth article back in March 2016. Don't know how to get that to you.
In response to your comments. Yes, unfortunately, Jehu had a heart problem when following God. (II Kings 10:31) He also failed to rid the nation of the idol worship of money and pleasure exemplified in the worship of the golden calves. (II Kings 10:28-29) This is what caused his and the nation's loss and not the destruction of the governmental influence of Ahab's evil dynasty (Clintons).

. Actually, God rewarded him for that by promising four generations of ruling the nation. (II Kings 10:30)
Donald Trump is not the answer for the spiritual revival of the nation, that belongs to the church. (II Chron. 7:14) As chief law enforcer and along the side of the Supreme Court, I believe his role is to provide the protection of religious liberty for the church. Hopefully, he will also help bring justice to the governmental corruption and cultural evils of our day.

Thanks for the response. The peace part comes from Jehu's response to King Joram, Ahab and Jezebel's son, when he asked Jehu if he comes in peace. Jehu said " How can there be peace as long as all the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound." (II Kings 9:22) Her influence on the nation had to go for peace to ever have a chance.
This all started when the prophet Elijah challenged Israel, "How long will you halt between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him. But if Baal, follow him." (I Kings 18:21) We again are at that crossroad in our nation. There will be no peace as long as our government and people are divided between serving God (Judeo-Christian values and principles) or Baal (secularism). Elijah won that argument with the people. However, when Jezebel challenged him with the full weight of the government, he ran in fear. I believe that is what the church has done today. So God told Elijah to anoint fearless Jehu to do the job. (I Kings 19:16) Jehu won the battle of governmental corruption and cultural evil, thus bringing peace to the nation.

The prosperity part comes from the fact that God always blesses a nation when it follows His ways and laws. (Ps. 33:12) Peace also helps bring the safety and freedom from fear necessary for prosperity to thrive. Look at our inner cities where violence prevails, prosperity is not happening. Donald Trump says he wants to help change that. I could give you more about God wanting to prosper those doing the right thing but I'll stop here.

So...you assumed there was peace and prosperity, you can't actually point at any where it was said? Because when I read the Scriptures about that time all I see is Israel involved in constant wars with the nations around them and Jehu committing massacre after massacre of Israelis he views as his enemies.

First of all, Jehu did not start the wars Israel was in with other nations.

When speaking of Jehu killing others, he was responding to the Lord's prophetic command to destroy the whole house of Ahab to avenge the blood of the prophets and the Lord's servants shed by Jezebel. (II Kings 9:8-10) Chapters 9 & 10 record the actual fulfillment of those prophesies. What Jehu did was because of the Lord's prophetic command, not because Jehu viewed them as enemies. In fact the prophet called Ahab, Jehu's master. (II Kings 9:7)

I simply believe this analogy is about stopping the Clintons' corrupt political influence in our nation. If that involves electing Donald Trump, so be it.

To your point of no direct Scripture about peace and prosperity, you are correct. However, whenever you remove corruption, I believe it adds to peace and prosperity.

Jehu was not a good guy. He did what God told him to do and even went further and destroyed the Baal worshipers....
But he didn't give up 'the calves' and he didn't do that for political gain. He lived like Jeroboam and not in God's laws. The people following their king lived in sin. So they were attacked by other nations, there wasn't peace and prosperity.
Hosea 1:4
And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

Be careful what you wish for.

I'm not sure it matters who started the wars it just doesn't seem that Israel being at war pretty much the whole time of his reign would hardly be considered "a time of peace". As for the "prosperity" since you have no actual evidence for it I'm a little dubious of that being true either. If you're goal is "People should vote for Mr. Trump!" you should probably just say that and not try and come up with some sort of Scriptural justification to make it palatable. There's simply no way to do that.

Hillary Clinton is the better candidate? The same person (Jezebel)who believes in full term/partial birth abortion (child sacrifices to Baal), gay marriage (sex orgies in Baal worship), prosecuting Christian leaders who speak against homosexuality (killing God's prophets), and committing pay to play governmental corruption (taking Naboth's vineyard unjustly) is a better candidate for a Christian to vote for? This election, first of all, should be about a vote against Hillary Clinton's liberal beliefs and agenda.

If that isn't enough for a Christian not to vote for her, what about the failed foreign policy (the Middle East became a mess under her reign as Secretary of State, especially the formation of ISIS), and the FBI investigations into her exposing top secret emails on a private server and the Clinton Foundation's pay to play. If she becomes president our country would be put into a constitutional crisis (as Doug Schoen, a former Clinton supporter, said recently) and stifle the focus necessary to change the country's other problems, especially jobs and healthcare.

Even with all of Donald Trump's many personal negative statements and behavior, she is still not the better candidate for president.

I fear a better analogy would be to King Manasseh, whose wickedness ultimately led to the exile of Judah. I fear that that this analogy applies equally to Trump and Clinton. The American people have made clear that we want nothing to do with God, and He has allowed us to choose two of the most godless among us from which to choose our leader. The question is whether we want a godless form of conservatism or a godlesa form of lberalism. Imo, neither is better than the other.
