How do you feel about the Founding Fathers?

To be fair, some of the founding fathers joined the secrete societies to hide from the prying eyes of Great Britain. Then there was Ben Franklin who was a member of England's Hell Fire club.

Regardless, God used these men to create a Constitution that was modeled after the English Common Law which is diametrically opposed to the Catholic Canon law. The US Constitution guarantees (1) personal liberty: a land without a king: a republican idea; (2) religious freedom: a church without a pope: a protestant idea.

The bible tells us these two ideas were the secrete of her power. But it was not described as horns of a ram, but rather that of a lamb, meaning these two ideas were manifested during her infancy. As we can see the Constitution had been under attack. The laws that been passed basically abolished the personal liberty and religious freedom. Now it is speaking like a dragon. How? A country speaks through her legislative laws.

Not so. Read Eusubius' description of the Nazarenes. While agreeing that their doctrines were entirely orthodox, he lumps them in with the Ebionites (who were heretical) and dismisses them for still being looking like Jews and not obviously gentile christian.

As a result my people got excluded from the first Nicene conference.

They were cut off from the Church. By faith in Messiah, they were cut of from the rest of Judaism. So they died out a century or 2 later.

“In an earlier chapter it was noted how the Papacy stigmatized as Arians those who disagreed with her in general, and in particular how she branded those as Judaizers who were convinced that “the Sabbath” of the fourth commandment was the seventh day. “ B.G. Wilkinson, Truth Triumphant, p318

“No wonder that the Celtic, the Gothic, the Waldensian, the Armenian Churches, and the 88 great Church of the East, as well as other bodies, differed profoundly from the Papacy in its metaphysical conceptions of the Trinity and consequently in the importance of the Ten Commandments.” B. G. Wilkinson, ibid, p88.

Oh, Wow!!!----Never in my 65 +years did I ever think of the Statue of Liberty in any other terms than a symbol of freedom given to us by the French. I went to SDA schools, the words pagan goddess was never mentioned. When talking to others never once did anyone ever mention it as anything other than a symbol of freedom. In school we memorized the inscription written by Emma Lazarus:

“ Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

The sculptor Frederic Aguste Bartholdi came from German Protestant background. He did belong to the Freemasons as did most of the Founding Fathers, including George Washington. He called the sculptor, "Liberty Enlightening The World." The face of the statue is supposed to be modeled after his mother's face and the body that of his wife---the rays of the crown are to represent the 7 seas and 7 continents.

Nothing about this statue has anything to do with paganism. He first designed it, or something very similar, for a proposed lighthouse for the Suez Canal, which they decided not to build, he had called that one, "Egypt (or progress) brings light to Asia"

This is the Sol Invictus halo. It is represented differently from the Christian halo (the Christian halo represents, for instance, how Moses's face was so bright he had to wear a veil).

Stele_Sol_Invictus_Terme.jpg

The Christian halo as a crown, instead of meant to represent the shining visage, is a Catholic invention by the way.

Masaccio_chapelle_Brancacci.png

It was originally meant to convey the same halo Moses had, and still does in Orthodox iconography.

The Statue of Liberty is of Libertas, a Roman goddess: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertas

It might have had a model for the face, but so did Greek and Roman pagan statues of gods (that was a major reward of the Olympics, to model for the statue of a god).

OH, for heavens sakes----this crown has 7 rays, not 5 which represent the 7 seas and the 7 continents. Nothing pagan about the statue of liberty. Bartholdi had been in Egypt, not Rome when he got the idea of a giant statue for liberty --he had seen all the huge monuments and that struck him into doing large scale monuments. Whatever Roman goddess there was of Liberty---still stood for liberty---that goddess on those coins didn't even have rays coming from her crown. Those rays represent light to the world as does her torch. The way of Roman female dress has always been considered the most feminine and beautiful to portray because of the folds of material. It's usually SDA's that see the pagan in everything. I refuse to see the statue as this pagan goddess. It's like those idiots who insisted that I take down a wind banner I had because there was a rainbow on it and, at the time, that stood for the new age movement. Now it has ben commandeered by the gays--well I refuse to bow to that either--the rainbow is the sign from God that He would not destroy the earth with water again and that is what I intent to keep it as. The statue of Liberty stands for just that--Liberty. She stands as a symbol of it to the world.
You want to consider it as some sort of goddess that's your right--I won't. I also don't bow down to it, I do not pray to it, nor burn candles to it nor do I turn to it for miracles as do churches who have pictures and statues of men and women they call saints. They pray to them and serve them all the while claiming they only represent the saint and are therefore not worshiping the statue---baloney-ask any believer in the Hindu or any other gods and all will say they only represent the god but are not the real god itself. It is still against what God says to do. Whatever. Nobody is going to take this statue of Liberty from me and turn into something it isn't nor was ever intended to be. I am sick of all this occult madness where even the sing of the hand language "I love you", is being called a Satanic hand sign! Some idiot even said it was invented by Helen Keller who he insisted was a devil worshipper!!!! She belonged to a cult that did not believe there was a devil, a Swedenborgianist.

It is indeed your prerogative to see or believe as you wish and no one is saying that this is what the grand majority of people think of these symbols... however, there are esoteric and occult forces at work in the earth and these symbols do mean something to them. The gift of the statue of Liberty and it's purpose was foretold in the 11th chapter of the Revelation during the reign of atheistic France.

Rev 11:8-13
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

I see nothing in this about the statue of liberty nor its purpose.

Look--you want to view this as some sort of pagan goddess, go right ahead---I will not.
But you have no hesitation about seeing the Catholic Monstrance (not a practice among the Orthodox) as Sol Invictus?

Look at this one. It's just sun-worship, in various forms.

"the world for the first time heard an assembly of men, born and educated in civilization, and assuming the right to govern one of the finest of the European nations, uplift their united voice to deny the most solemn truth which man's soul receives, and renounce unanimously the belief and worship of a Deity."--Sir Walter Scott, Life of Napoleon, vol. 1, ch. 17.

"France is the only nation in the world concerning which the authentic record survives, that as a nation she lifted her hand in open rebellion against the Author of the universe. Plenty of blasphemers, plenty of infidels, there have been, and still continue to be, in England, Germany, Spain, and elsewhere; but France stands apart in the world's history as the single state which, by the decree of her Legislative Assembly, pronounced that there was no God, and of which the entire population of the capital, and a vast majority elsewhere, women as well as men, danced and sang with joy in accepting the announcement."-- Blackwood's Magazine, November, 1870. {GC, p270-271}

The Statue of Liberty in New York harbor was presented in 1884 as a gift from the French Grand Orient Temple masons to the masons of America in celebration of the centenary of the first masonic republic. She is holding the masonic "Torch of Enlightenment".

Buddhist and Hindu depictions of the halo postdate Christian depictions considerably. The East was enormously influenced by the West in matters of religion. Here, for instance, is a Buddhist depiction of Hercules, whom they venerate.

Buddhism post-dates the west. The Hinduism predates the Christian-era considerably. The Hindu vedic period is from 1750-500BC. Hindu synthesis is from 500-200BC.

All ancient mystery religions are forms of sun-worship. Catholicism is but a continuation of the sun-worship.

I'm talking about the depictions, not about Hinduism itself.

Has anyone done any research on the sculptor? Do you know what he was thinking? Do you know that he designed this as a Romans goddess???
He was born in France--but his family were Germans and they changed their name to sound more French. They were also Protestants. The original statue, the one he designed for the Suez Canal was dressed in somewhat similar costume, except that it was Muslim garb--not Roman! He just altered the costume to look less Muslim. The rays were there as being Egypt the light of Asia. It cdrtainly is no secret he was Freemason, the whole Lodge was there at the opening ceremony. No atheists are allowed to be Freemasons!!
