Something I have not seen mentioned anywhere on here yet, but is still very important.

A documentary was made a few years back, but only gained a little traction. The story started growing again at the same time as Brexit and was overshadowed. This has been going on for years but has not received much coverage.

China has been harvesting organs from political prisoners and Falun Gong practitioners for years to sell on the black market or use in organ transplants, a booming sector in China right now. Coverage is little but it is gaining. Here are a few articles on it:

It is a shame there is not more coverage on this.

Here is a video made by China Uncensored (a channel I recommend). They have other older videos too if you want to dig them up.

What is your opinion on this? How should the United States and other countries react to one of the worlds biggest economies?

Thank you for posting this.

What this brings to mind for me is that our nation, right here, is finding this to be a lucrative business as well.

Watching the video and checking out the links now.

I just don't think we should accept this assertion that Chinese organs are more important than other countries organs.
It is institutionalized in China, which makes it worse. Of course all organ harvesting outside of donations is wrong, and evil.

I see no problem harvesting Organs from people undergoing Capital punishment provided they are healthy, as this seems a small way they can atone for their crimes. Most Chinese organs are not really trafficked though, but used in China and mostly from prisoners who agreed to organ donation. Its just easier to get illicit organs from China since the supply is so much larger there on account of their high execution rate and population.

What you should really be considering is the Justness of the executions, not the organs thereafter. China executes far more than anyone else of which the vast majority are for non-political violent crimes. However its legal proceedings often are not up to international standards, they use torture to extract confessions and it is also applied in a limited manner to non-violent offences.
China acknowledges that two thirds of its organs for transplant comes from prisoners and that these are occasionally trafficked or executions planned around transplants and has promised in the past to crack down on these practices which are illegal according to Chinese law as well.
The situation is a bit more nuanced than reports suggest.
