Sorry to come in late I have been all over the place but not on line. The problem with thinking like that is that it fills your heart with more loveless and anxious thoughts. Which focus on you (in wrong) and not on Christ (in right). God doesn't look at us lovelessly in our bad life, we do that, that is the problem therefore the truth feels bad, for God does you thinking like that about Him. God thoughts are not our thoughts Isaiah 55:8 says.

Not only that He sows His word into our hearts to set us free from bad life and give us the ways to deal with hard and difficult circumstances. Through hard times, which bad life brings about, He gives us good life including patience, love, goodwill and endurances.

However bad life doesn't do that. Bad life lies about God and ourselves and other people and brings us more bad life when we believe what bad life tells us inside our hearts and minds. This is why believing the Truth of God's Word rather than our feelings is so very important to be able to get away from our bad life.

Isaiah 55
“Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,

So please Loyal don't ever believe God doesn't love you, He loves you unconditionally.

However do you love yourself for not loving God and neighbour? That seems to me much more the question you ought to ponder on. The more loveless thoughts and feelings you sow the more you bring the work of the destroyer into your life, and if you act on bad life prompting, then you will bring the destroyer also into other peoples lives.

This is why bad life gets worse as time gets on, for so much bad life is being sown in this world today, through the loving truth of Jesus we can escape the curse that rests on all of that, there is no other way.

I don't only believe and have faith in the truth of all of that, but I know for certain that His word sets us free from our enemies if we read it as a personal address to us from God's Divine Love - Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I have seen this happen so many times that I have complete confidence that God's word will cut down our ties with the wicked and teach us to follow Christ's way of operating. Loving all people, including ourselves, because that is the Father's Will in His life.

I sometimes feel like God has forsaken me, but it doesnt necessarily need to make a person loveless. It actually makes me want to be more loving, because it makes me examine my ways and it makes me want to be more obedient, especially when it comes to love.

Yes this can be true we don't have to heed loveless voice when we are overcome by bad life, and yes you are perfectly right, bad life can make us produce good life this is very much from Jesus. However what about if we heed the accuser and not Jesus' loving truth changing our ways, would that not just be another trap like that and make matters worse instead of better? This is what I fear Loyal has been doing thinking about God and herself in loveless ways, this is what I was warning about.

And @W2L, i too feel like offering more love to others, to God... After feeling defeated. Don't know why that Happens exactly.

I have been doing some thinking lately on what a user in the Singles forum said to me. He said that he feels sadness for me that I have given up on life and refuse to love others unless they love me first. He was right.

Now I'm going to try to make an effort to be supportive of others in this forum. The Depression forums are an excellent place to start. I don't really know what to say most of the time but any form of encouragement is better than none at all.

I am a selfish person. The best thing about Jesus's teachings is that it's all about second chances and reforming oneself, no matter how long it takes.

1970's animated films have a certain charm to them. The animation style, the grittiness and the unsettling themes that they typically have.

Don Bluth created a lot of awesome movies similar to The Last Unicorn. He said, "As long as it has a happy ending, kids can handle it."

I dont know brother. Speaking only for myself, sometimes its hard for people to love themselves, because there are things that remind them of how screwed up they are. Im not sure why that is either, but i have my ups and downs as well. Perhaps its a medical condition, or maybe a spiritual one. I cant say for sure, and all i can do is persevere best i can.

You are not the only selfish person. Many people are, including myself. Its one reason that i am not happy, but there are others too. I want to be what God wants me to be. Only then can i be happy. I have made a decision to love others more as well, including those that dont love me. Im trying. Lets pray for each other, and maybe even remind each other to do this always.

The stress of keeping up the image along with the delusional pride just leads him to develop the drug problem, a hatred for groupies, embarrassing scandals and everything just spirals down from there. The worst part is that they believe that they are still in control and enjoying the high life when only they are slowly destroying themselves to the point where they eventually collapse on stage during a concert.

Meanwhile, you get some average Joe watering his garden feeling fulfilled, wanting nothing else in life because he is satisfied with the one true thing that makes him happy in life. That garden could be the next Eden given enough time and care.

It is true that no good things come our way until we leave the old and cling to the new, however let this not be an excuse to remain in wrongful spirituality for what reward will we receive for being wrong and still have our dirty clothes on at the wedding Feast? We will be thrown out! It is about dying to sin and coming to life in the new, faith in God's loving truth will set us free from our sins, but in God's order not ours.

About waiting for eternity to come after we pass on from here - Eternal life is past, present and future - so there is no excuse not to be in His good life when the invitation is open to come. In His truth we can enjoy the future as well as be free from a sinful past all in the present, like The Word says today is the day to be saved - it says that every day again. I know for sure we have to leave bad life. It is about having life in His Spirit and having died to the bad spirit who had us captivated and not otherwise.

But yes it is a battle and we cannot be perfect doing it until we final reach perfection however in part and at times we can let God's loving truth indwell us and bring forth new life.
