And how can that be, when they were alone, naked and fertile with an assignment to procreate on the 7th day?

The Bible, Hieron, does in fact preach a flat earth and a geocentric cosmos. This was quite common in ancient cosmologies. Where did you get the idea it didn't?

I see no difference between your process theologian and a new age theologian when you continually insist you know more than God who is the author of the bible. As God told Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

That won't work, Extraneous. If Gen. 2 is referring to a kind of second creation, what happened to all the people in Gen. 1? The Bible never speaks of any preAdamites or anything like that. Also, since 2 was written before 1, the writer did not intend it to be a second creation.

Its not a second creation, and there are no "people" mentioned in Chapter one, but only male and female are mentioned. Chapter two doesnt contradict chapter one either, because chapter one refers to the world and chapter two refers to the garden. You must look at it as a more detailed look at mans creation, and the animals in chapter two are not necessarily the same as in chapter 1. The scriptures refer to fallen angels as animal creatures, in some examples, yet we also know that animals are not demons, so chapter one may refer to real animals and chapter 2 may refer to angels, maybe, but i cant say. In revelation fallen angels are referred to as birds and beasts. Have you ever considered that? Satan the serpent is seen in the garden as well.

I read a scripture once that had the the "4 corners" of the earth mentioned in it, but then also referred to the "circle" of the earth as well, all in the same scripture. How can it have 4 corners and be a circle at the same time? Its symbolic language, and its not teaching a flat earth.

The circle of the earth refers to the apparently dome-shaped sky about the earth. In Isa., God sits at the top and looks down, seeing everything happening on earth. The purpose of the passage is to say God sees all. Therefore, the prophet had in mind a flat earth. Otherwise, if spherical, God could only the top.

You appear to be contradicting yourself, Extraneous. If the animals in 2 are not the same as in 1m, then yes, we are dealing with a kind of second creation. And yes, you will have problems accounting for all the personnel in Gen. 1.

The Garden and everything in it was created the 6th day, that explanes everything i.m.o.
As i suggested, maybe females were created in Adam's prescence, including his wife Eve (although he was asleep at that time).

In Genesis 1 it's about "God", and from Genesis 2 on it's "the LORD God".
Also the style is different.

I mean, who knows what Scripture the Noah family took on board the Ark?
What did Moses base it on otherwise?
