Look at what pope Frankie said a couple of months ago... pure heresy.

“We know what Jesus did on that occasion,” Francis reminded faithful. “Instead of returning home with his family, he stayed in Jerusalem, in the Temple, causing great distress to Mary and Joseph who were unable to find him. For this little “escapade”, Jesus probably had to beg forgiveness of his parents. The Gospel doesn’t say this, but I believe that we can presume it.
http://www.lastampa.it/2015/12/27/vaticaninsider/eng/the-vatican/francis-let-us-not-lose-confidence-in-the-family-ZEBdrJew2DzP7q7e0DmAQN/pagina.html

Do you realize what this enemy of God is saying? That Jesus had to beg forgiveness from His parents... implying that He did wrong, that He broke the 5th Commandment!
What does the Bible say that Jesus said when found in the temple.. " did you not know I would be about my Fathers business?" Does that sound like a guilt ridden child that had to beg forgiveness?

And then, to add to his blasphemy, he states that even though it's not in the Bible, we can assume it. What??!! adding presumptively to the Word of God? This is another evidence that we are being given that the Papacy is truly the beast of Revelation. Look what it says in Reveleation 22 verse 18
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

And now notice the description of the beast/harlot...

Rev 17:1-5
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great harlot that sitteth upon many waters:

2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.

I think you're playing it up,

Not when you look at the whole of what he has said, along with the Biblically verifiable fact that the papacy is the beast of Revelation.
Have you read Frankie's recent encyclical, 'laudato si'? In it he calls for a legislated day of rest to protect our environment. Guess which day that would be? Sunday along with the taking of the eucharist.... interesting that a woman with a 3rd grade education prophesied this over 150 years ago...

Satan puts his interpretation upon events, and they think, as he would have them, that the calamities which fill the land are a result of Sundaybreaking. Thinking to appease the wrath of God these influential men make laws enforcing Sunday observance.--10MR 239 (1899).

Protestantism shall give the hand of fellowship to the Roman power. Then there will be a law against the Sabbath of God's creation, and then it is that God will do His "strange work" in the earth.--7BC 910 (1886).

When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvellous working of Satan and that the end is near.--5T 451 (1885).

First I want to address your lack of respect for the office that Francis holds. I don't like Obama, but I do not disrespect the office of the Presidency...

Do you realize what this enemy of God is saying? That Jesus had to beg forgiveness from His parents... implying that He did wrong, that He broke the 5th Commandment!
What a lie. First, it's not heresy. As a child does lots of things that need forgiveness, whether they're actual offenses to God. Not implying that he broke any commandment at all.
What does the Bible say that Jesus said when found in the temple.. " did you not know I would be about my Fathers business?" Does that sound like a guilt ridden child that had to beg forgiveness?
And then what did Jesus do? He went back with his parents, and OBEYED THEM. (This might imply that he DISOBEYED THEM, though that's not Scriptural, as the Pope says.) And it's not blasphemy, it's his opinion...
And then, to add to his blasphemy, he states that even though it's not in the Bible, we can assume it. What??!! adding presumptively to the Word of God?
Have you forgotten that we don't believe that the Bible is the only word of God??? Secondly, this is one man's interpretation after contemplating the UNWRITTEN life of Christ.
This is another evidence that we are being given that the Papacy is truly the beast of Revelation. Look what it says in Reveleation 22 verse 18

You DO know that encyclicals are not binding on non-Catholics, and much of what's in them is not considered infallible...Did the woman you quoted match your own reading capacity?

The encyclical is a blueprint moving forward... semantic this to death is you must but the fact that the most powerful religious leader in the world is making statements like this, which by the way are not isolated, speaks volumes of his agenda.

What is confounding to me, is that as an American I would assume you would be concerned with your freedom of conscience being threatened. If you listened to the address to congress and the speech to the UN, Francis used the term 'the common good' multiple times when it comes to dealing with problems like climate change, poverty, terrorism etc.

This term "the common good" is a socialist/communist and seeks to nullify individual freedom for the collective. Also, the official encyclical states very clearly that the solution to the wolrds problem can only be found in resting on sunday, attending mass and partaking of the eucharist... I can post it up with a link if you need.

I wholeheartedly disagree. If we must respect the office of the Pope, then we must necessarily be Catholics. The real issue is whether or not we show respect for each other, which is to say that we learn to approach each other with the gentleness and tact that lends itself to polite conversation. I never need respect the Pope, his office, officers or his religious institution, but I ought to approach the subject with kindness toward those who might read my post.

Sorry, I laughed so hard I choked. Because I respect the "office" of a say a Lutheran Pastor (I am not Lutheran) does that necessarily imply I must be Lutheran? Take that same question and insert whatever denomination you wish. What reason(s) do you have for not respecting the office of the Pope?...Simply because it is Catholic? That would be a very poor reason....unless you believe the Catholic Church is not Christian?...

I respect the historic Chair of St. Peter that is at Rome, the same as I do all the historic Sees of the Church. I take issue with the late medieval innovations which led to the development of the modern papacy, but it remains a firm and historic fact that Francis is the successor of St. Peter, in the same way that Theodorus II is the current successor of St. Mark, Theophilos III* the successor of St. James, Bartholomew I the successor of St. Andrew, etc.

*I understand that there are several claims to the historic See of Jerusalem, I'm not attempting to flippantly dismiss the Latin Patriarch or the Armenian Patriarch who also claim the Chair of St. James, mentioning Theophilos was merely an arbitrary choice in my list.

As long as you are following the inane fever dreams of a delusional self-proclaimed "prophetess" I don't think you're in any position to be doing much criticism of the Pope or other major mainstream Christian leaders.

I understand you are ignorant to what she has said in her writings...

I have been reading her writings for 10 years now and have studied through a majority of her texts, There is nothing that contradicts the Bible or the Holiness of Christ.

Do you believe that God will send a prophet for these last days as He has promised? Why is one of the gifts of the Spirit the gift of prophesy, but according to you none exist?

How could a woman with a third grade education become the most prolific female writer in history? How did she know that Protestantism would reunite with Catholicism just before the end of time? Why is here prediction of a sunday law, that was scoffed at for over a hundred years, now be coming to fruition?

Confusing the uncreated Son of God with the creature St. Michael is contradictory to the Bible and the Holiness of Christ. Really, everyone should just stop reading Ellen White and throw her books in the dumpster, at that point.

How could a woman with a third grade education become the most prolific female writer in history?

How could a science fiction writer with interests in the occult, whose spectacularly failed Naval career involved the illegal shelling of Mexico, become the most prolific male writer in history?

Quality is not quantity.

How did she know that Protestantism would reunite with Catholicism just before the end of time?

Good question, since that hasn't actually happened, nor will it. Even if Rome does a deal with one or two larger Protestant churches, substantial fragments will break away and carry on as before. The most ardently Protestant churches in the USA, like the LCMS and PCA, will never reunite with Rome.

Why is here prediction of a sunday law, that was scoffed at for over a hundred years, now be coming to fruition?

It's not. Actually the exact opposite is happening in some places; the British are getting rid of laws that restrict the hours of operation for retailers on Sunday, and in the Middle East Christians have to worship on Friday in Oman or Dubai, or Saturday in Israel in many cases.

I respect the office of the Pope, but I disagree with him as to what his office entails. I think he should be the Bishop of Rome and the Patriarch of the Western Church, exercising the same ministry as St. Gregory Diologos; I don't think he has any kind of universal jurisdiction, and neither did St. Gregory Diologos. When the Pope agrees with his august pre-Charlemagnian predecessors as to what his job description is, I will be prepared to respect him personally.

The Sunday trading laws are being devolved to local councils who may then opt to reduce opening hoirs restrictions, which many of them will, largely to protect high street retailers.

Still, I agree with you to the extent that I view Adventist claims of an impending Sunday law to be alarmist propaganda. Frankly, given the slide towards secularism and militant Islam, I'm not sure I would oppose such a law.

"blue laws", laws restricting types and hours on business on Sunday, have routinely been struck down, removed or totally ignored in the US for decades.

In my home state, you can in some parts drink from an open container in the passenger seat, but you can't buy booze between 1:30 AM and noon on Sunday. Which I guess might be inconvenient for the priest who realizes he's out of communion wine.
