The devastation that's coming will be a clear indication this estimation of our proximity to the Second Half of the Tribulation Period is correct. The Pentagon released the news today the retaking the city of Mosul from ISIS in Iraq will involve 12 months of street to street fighting, (USA Today, Feb.10, 2016). The situation in IRAQ is going to become even more bloody in the coming months.

Hezbollah in Syria also constitutes a far greater threat today, than it did during the Second Lebanon War back in 2006 when it fired 3,970 katusha rockets into Israel. Hezbollah then had an estimated 30,000 WWII type Russian katusha rockets. Today Hezbollah has between 60,000 and 150,000 thousand advanced Russian rockets, including the road mobile Tishreen, Fateh-110 precision guided missile and the Fajir 3 and Fajir 5 rocket systems with a range of 50 miles. Israeli cities like Haifa, Tiberias, Afula, Nahariya and Safed will be obliterated by these missiles the next time Hezbollah launches an attack against Israel, (The Israeli Defense Project Analysis, March 2014).

Hezbollah's defensive capabilities have also expanded dramatically since 2006. The non-state terrorist organization and Iranian proxy, is now in possession of sophisticated Russian surface to air anti-aircraft defenses, as well as the supersonic Russian Yakhont cruise (precision guided, over the horizon), anti-ship missiles that can target Israeli warships in port. With hundreds of billions of dollars in new revenue flowing into IRAN, you can expect even these capabilities will soon be eclipsed as Hezbollah continues to modernize it's forces.

The next Iranian backed attack against Israel will be like nothing the world has seen thus far. The conventional war we experience during the First Half of the Tribulation Period, will be unprecedented in recent times. Each new conflict will grow in magnitude, intensity and duration as the Apocalypse progresses.

Another disturbing and approaching event, is the 100th year anniversary of the Apparitions of Fatima which will occur on May 13, 2017. The Fatima apparitions of the Virgin Mary which occurred in Portugal from May to Oct. 1917, called for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and "opposition by the Church to the error of communism and atheism". This doctrine led to the creation of an organization within the RCC called the "Blue Army" which seeks to carry out the Fatima instructions.

The final apparition on October 13, 1917 involved the miracle of the "Dancing Sun and Radiant Lights" before a crowd of one hundred thousand witnesses and the international press. At this time, the Third Secret of the Fatima Visions was communicated to the three children with whom the Virgin Mary spoke. Details of the Third Secret are said to relate to an Apocalyptic War, the great apostasy and the persecution of the Church during the End Times, and were supposedly released by the Vatican June 26, of 2000. However controversy still abounds, as allegations persist the Vatican withheld the last of three pages of the final Fatima message.

If such a final prophecy does exist, the Vatican will be under extreme pressure by the RCC to release the final message in 2017. Needless to say, such a message (being consistent with the previous messages in its' content), could have serious political consequences for Western European/Russian relations thereafter.

Another unmistakable indicator the Tribulation Period has arrived will be the appearance of the Third Horseman of the Apocalypse, (Revelation 6:5-6).

Commentary by Bible scholars seem to agree universally, the Third Horseman represents a global economic catastrophe for the world. A collapse of the world's economy and trade, that precedes, or perhaps even precipitates the appearance of the Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse.

When you start reading about the economic collapse of the E.U, the collapse of other world economies like the U.S. and China in USA Today and the New York Times, that will be a clear indication you are indeed in the midst of the Tribulation Period, and the Great Tribulation Period is shortly about to begin.

Abomination just means a despicable act. What if it is already standing in the holy place. What if it is currently "standing" where it ought not to be?

We are not anywhere near that point.

What if we are past that point and well into the rebellion that precedes the revelation of the man of sin?

Since the land of Israel will be consumed by this earlier ruler of Iraq, then where is the USA?

What if the USA is the holy place? What if the USA is the earth who helped the woman?

A "place prepared by God" is a Holy Place. In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue, there were four blood moons and God was opening up a new continent. This was the dragon chasing the woman and these estimated 75 million or more Christian martyrs would become the 5th seal souls beneath the alter. Lucifer was the hand that used the early church as a glove which hit the woman very hard during the middle ages. The founding fathers of the USA made sure that church and state were separate, America! America! God shed his grace on thee.

America would become the Holy Place, the Earth who would help the Woman in Revelation 12 as the Dragon spewed forth a flood from his mouth. Most haven't recognized the U.S.A. as the Holy Place but when God does a thing it becomes Holy, rather than the thing being Holy so that God does it. Like when the "ground" became Holy for Moses and Joshua. America became the earth who would help the Woman in 1776 and at the same time the Holy Place established by God as a refuge from the persecutions of the Church in Rome. And the Woman fled into the wilderness, where She has a place prepared by God.

On Friday June 26, 2015 a law was "set up" and is now "standing" in the "holy place" when the United States became the 21st country to make legal same sex marriage.

In the new covenant age Israel is made up of all who are in Christ, this includes Jews and Gentiles. Israel of the old covenant was an earthly kingdom, having an earthly temple temple that was centred in Jerusalem, however after the Lord ascended up into heaven, his Kingdom Israel is not of this world, therefore not earthly, but spiritual and heavenly.

So those born of the Spirit of God are declared the temple of God in scripture. The temple being the centre of Jerusalem, which now is spiritual, that is Christ's church, as he would say I will build my church. This is the Jerusalem that Jesus has built up over the last 2000 years, that is, his church, which is the body of believers. These living stones, is the new Israel of the new covenant. Therefore Israel are all those who worship in this spiritual temple, in spiritual Jerusalem that is heavenly and not earthly. True Israelites are children of the Spirit.

That "renewal" of the Korean War, (you're not so worried about John S.) can happen instantly without any warning whatsoever. Soul South Korea is only 30 miles from the DMZ. North Korea has thousands of artillery pieces (with a range of 40 miles) close to the DMZ, that can "obliterate" the South Korean capital at any time. In fact, some of the 200mm plus Russian and Chinese artillery pieces the North Koreans have are capable of firing "tactical nuclear rounds". If you don't believe it, just "google" "can artillery fire a nuclear warhead ?".

Of course, they could manage the same destruction of Soul by just using HE rounds, which is probably what they'll do instead.
