What I find most curious, is how so many Christians consider the "Pre Tribulation" Rapture doctrine to be "main stream" theology, while they regard "Post Tribulation" believers as being on the "fringe" of Christian theology. I believe they're confusing what's conventional with what's popular.

From the time of the Early Church, up until about the 1700's the "Post Tribulation" Rapture was the only "accepted" doctrine concerning the Rapture. So the "Pre Tribulation" Rapture doctrine has only become popular within the last 300 years, and by historical comparison is a fairly "recent" phenomena in Christian theology.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;" (2 Timothy 4:3).

It must be recognized, it's easy to understand how the idea of a "Pre Tribulation" Rapture would appeal to a whole lot of people, even if one has to twist around lots of Scripture to get there. In my opinion, the Parables taught by Jesus directly contradict the doctrine of a Pre Tribulation Rapture, (beyond any shadow of a doubt). I won't repost every verse supporting this position, because it shouldn't be necessary here.

So I must say, I find it extremely disturbing the Gospel of Christ has been totally discarded in favor of the Pre Tribulation doctrine.

It's not recent. It's a very old doctrine from the days of Paul. People misunderstood something he said in one letter and thus the idea of Christ returning at any moment was born.

I don't really know what you guys will talk about. I would assume you would discuss post-trib theology and current events that might indicate that the tribulation is near.
The question is, how near is the end and what signs do we see for the end and what still needs to happen?:amen:

Jesus gave the signs of nearness in Matthew 24 - false Christs/false prophets, many confessed Christians being deceived; physical and economic disasters (earthquakes, famines, etc.); severe Christian persecution; many Christians falling away from the faith; the abomination that causes desolation; false returns of Christ; signs in the heavenly bodies.

What else are we waiting for. Many of these signs has already taken place. What is the specific prophecy fulfillment we are waiting for?

The events will continue to increase in frequency. Remember just like a woman's labor pains become more frequent as she gets closer to birth, the same will occur as time gets closer to Christ's return. Also, the 3rd temple hasn't been built yet, which means the AoD cannot occur yet.

2 Thessalonians 2:1–4 (NKJV)
2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

So, in simplest terms, we are waiting to see the great apostasy and the revealing of the man of sin (aka the Antichrist, the Beast, the Beast of the Sea - Revelation 13). And also the fulfillments of the seals, trumpets and bowls. Some people think several of the seals are already open because they take a non-literal interpretation but I don't.

We are waiting for the global beast government in Rev 13:1 and the antichrist/abomination of desolation to appear (second beast of Rev 13) which is the start of the 42 month tribulation.

Yes we are waiting for the NWO to become one and divide the world into 10 regions. In the meantime Babilon wil be build and completed before the Antichrist arises. Then we are waiting for the 3rd world war so that the Antichrist can make peace for 7 years with Israel and the world. Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. When the Antichrist shows up we will be persecuted and slain by the harlot that sits on the beast. (The World Council of Churches)

God changed the 7 years down to 3.5 years and I don't see a 3rd world war in scripture. Unless the second coming and Rev 19's war is that war.

It wil be a 7 years peace treaty, but he wil break the covenant in the middle of the 7 years.
Third world war= Isa.13 before the peace treaty. How wil there be a peace treaty without war and who will help Israel to be the false Messiah?

Nope. That was the plan but the plan was changed and now Revelation knows nothing about this 7 years.

You are using old information instead of the newest.

Mar_13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

The days had been longer, but God shortened the days. Prophecy is not static.

I do agree with you that the days are shortened to 3.5 years. This is only the rule of the Antichrist and the false prophet. But the treaty is meant to last for 7 years.
