  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Some old guy came to the farm the other day to help me and a few others move the dairy herd through the race for a vet inspection. And I'm not lying. If you were to ask a child to draw a picture of a farmer, this man is EXACTLY what the picture would look like. He had the lot. A tweed cap, a bib and brace, long sideburns, wispy eyebrows, curly ginger hair, a checked overcoat, green wellies, and a walking stick which he used as a cattle goad.

I couldn't look at him without laughing. I'm still creasing now over a week later. ^_^

Trying to figure out lunch. We're thinking BoJangles...and if no one has heard of it, it's a southern thing. :p
Nice. Also figuring out lunch.

I'm thinking Thanksgiving sandwiches; leftover turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberries sauce, mustard, mayo, cheese, on sourdough, and grilled in a panini press. and a side of candied yams. Yummmm

You know that they say about Fried Chicken, biscuits and gravy, don't you?

A Baptist preacher can smell that cooking up to 20 miles away.

So THAT'S how I will get a preacher husband! :satisfied:

Close enough! :ahah: Just invite one over and feed him. You know what they say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. :eheh:

Not necessarily, could involve a sword, a spear, a bullet. You could also go through the back, the lungs.
