Not only are you pulling the word "Yeshua" out of your [body part reference deleted], you're refusing to answer any of my questions. So, again, why are you using a word for Jesus that the Bible never uses? And, why are you using vowels in that name, when by your own beliefs, the use of vowels is a mark of a lack of respect?

Roll eyes all you want. Just make sure you're looking in a mirror when you do it.
"Jesus", as it is spelled in the Greek New Testament, is exactly the same as how "Joshua" is spelled in the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament. Thus is is clear that "Jesus" is the Hebrew name "Joshua" which means literally "God saves.

Please note that Yeshua HaDerekh is not Messianic or one of those sects that refuse to vowels when they refer to God, but is Eastern Orthodox, which makes your particular line of questioning look incredibly stupid.

Please be a nice day having :)

Someone engaged in intellectually and theologically bankrupt argent should refrain from accusing someone else of looking incredibly stupid. Jesus isn't Joshua. Jesus is never referred to as Joshua or Yashua in the Septuagint, nor in any ancient document.

Every author of the NT (except Luke) personally knew Jesus. Every author of the NT (except Luke) had a jewish background. Luke, himself, was a methodical Greek historian. Yet, not one of them calls Jesus anything other than Iesous, which for English speakers is anglicized as Jesus. So, it indeed looks incredibly stupid for anyone to call Jesus Yashua. And, I charge those people have doing so as having evil intent (they're butchering Jesus' name to pay homage to the synagogue of Satan).

(Also, if Jesus actually did go be a Hebrew name, of which there's no evidence, that name wouldn't necessarily be the most similar Hebrew name to Jesus. Jesus could be derived from an abbrivated name, otherwise modified.)

As for leaving out vowels in reference to God, I did check the other posters messages and found that he has done that with God. But, whether or not he does that, it's still a valid question, why would someone leave the O out of God but not leave the vowels out of Jesus or Yeshua? If they are paying homage to the synagogue of Satan, that inconsistency is explained.

Seriously need the roll eyes smiley, plus a digging yourself into a deeper hole smiley would also be appropriate
So much fail.

Am I the only who finds Seinfeild overrated. To each their own but the humor seems dry and Star Wars beats Star Trek anyday except the newer Star Wars.

I know when you emulate a false religion, you're not doing it as homage to God.

so, as I said before, since you don't really know their heart you don't know what they are or are not doing to God. a Christian who calls Jesus Yeshua, might be doing it for historical accuracy and not merely Jewish emulation. either way, you don't know.

so again, your point here is.....what exactly?

Those who call Jesus Yeshua are contracting every writer of the Bible and every church father. No, they are not concerned with historical accuracy. They are contradicting history. Their demonic theology reveals why they change Jesus' name.

Yes, you and Greg keep stirring the pot...so much love for one's "neighbor"...and anything "Jewish". Others here have asked that this stop, but you can't resist...

The test of who is right here, as I've already demonstrated a few times, is to apply your principle of insisting on your preferred language. Is it truly respect - and love - for others - to insist on alien language and form just because you personally prefer it? Io credo che no.

Because your questions are ridiculous. I never said I use "G_d", YOU said I use it. I said RABBINIC JEWS use it out of respect for The Name, not because of vowels (you said that). You never answered my questions. BTW, the Bible is composed of OT and NT. The term Yeshua WAS used in the Bible...

sorry, Rus, i gots dat mad love for ya, but, like, why do we care if someone says "Yeshua?" We all know Who he means. Should we ban "Theotokos" and "Panagia" and "Bogoroditsa," i t. d. and insist upon "God-Bearer" and "All Holy"?

Also, when you agree with bossy-pants Greg, as in this thread, your spidey sense should be a-tinglin'
