Unfortunately religious extremists have gutted sex education and contraceptive services in many areas, so those places have seen an increase in unwanted pregnancies. Restoring the funding in those areas would be a good place to start if one is interested in reducing the number of abortions, but as usual the far right is their own worst enemy here.

Planned Parenthood essentially "told on themselves" and still do, with every video that comes out.

Just let the film roll, and Planned Parenthood will make it clear what they do.

Explaining what? The fact that the group which released the videos cut out a lot of the interviews in a way which intentionally changed the meaning of what was being said? I thought that was a well known fact. What is strange to me is why people who think they are on the moral side of this argument need to sink to such dishonest to try and make a point.

Nobody is claiming that the medical value of aborted tissue justifies abortion.

Nobody.

There is not one person making that argument. Not here, not anywhere else that I have ever seen. The reasons why abortion is justified are far removed from any utility of the corpse, just like the reasons why the death penalty is allegedly justified has nothing to do with the lack of viable medical cadavers.

Everything about my hypotheticals was following your train of logic. Okay, abortion is murder. But it still happens. Why, then, should we object to people using dead babies that were gonna be there anyways to save lives?
