Respectfully, Greg, no one in the OP said anything outside of the fact that the liturgy has changed for many reasons - if actually dealing with the post point-for-point. The point made was that liturgy was changed at many points (often shorter at times, often longer at others) - fluid based on the times - and having a shorter liturgy was not an issue if the need arose for it..thus meaning people are not off for saying that consideration for a shorter liturgy during lunch may need to be considered in light of Church History alone.Gxg, no one here has said the liturgy has not changed. that's not the point of this tread. Thank you for that unnecessary post.
Moreover, unless you're the author of the thread, it is pointless trying to speak on what the point of the thread is - or try to act in pretense with any kind of sarcasm as if it says something since it is silly if you already missed the heart of the OP. Thus, please pay attention if you cannot respond to what was actually said instead of responding to what hasn't been said since it is unnecessary (in addition to the other posts going on the Protestant Influence rant instead of showing where change in the liturgy for outreach/meeting the needs of the people has never occurred before in the Church). If unable to actually respond respectfully, the thread is not for you. Thank you.
