Really??? Even from reputable sources like Time, NYTimes and Forbes, they could present skewed information?

Yes they do. The NYTs and Time are beholden to the left and Forbes is beholden to Wall Street and the Banksters.

I posed this question to the OP. The focus of the OP is on 'can religion change with the times.' You quoted the Bible in another post. From reading the Scriptures (OT and NT) does it say God changes?

Without women to balance things out, we get what we have which is an out of balanced world with wars and mass-world hunger.

Not with politicians like Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman.

So how did Time, NYtimes, and Forbes arrived at similar conclusions about women in the intellectual context??

The odds are a little unlikely unless the three are conspiring together or just some unlikely coincidence.

Just follow your tagline:) It says not to trust but verify. Something like that.

I'm not suggesting that women should be in charge. But I believe that we need balance. As I look around the world, we men haven't done a very good job and need help.

Regarding being in charge, is it you're opinion that women are better at some of those qualities than men?

The religions and the rigid will have to change or eventually be discarded.

You mean YHWH (God) must change right? God said He does not change. And what exactly is so rigid about the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5)?

I can only speak of "Christianity" in the United States. In these modern times, you cannot entirely blame religion. Women still go to churches. They are not forced to go, they go and put up with it. The religious subservient woman in the united states chooses to be that way.

Sexism is another one of those Feminist buzzwords meant to divide people. One can rant and rave all day, but men and women are fundamentally different. If you want to call that "sexism" then that is your prerogative. But it is what it is. What Feminism would love is to emasculate men and elevate women above them. Sadly, too many people have gone along with this nonsense. Western women have absolutely nothing to complain about, so whining about sexism does not match reality.

As far as religions making adjustments for Feminism, false Christianity has already started making adjustments, and trying to come up with neutered "bibles". True Christianity teaches that in Christ there is no distinction between male and female BUT AT THE SAME TIME the roles of men and women in the home, the workplace, and the local church are different. That is truth and that is reality.

Well stated. I wonder why so many atheists, agnostics etc. come to a CHRISTIAN forum to speak of sexism. I guess they know we won't fahtwa them?:) I'd love to see these questions answered on a Muslim site.

Why would God change? If God had to change would he still be God?

I've had male and female managers. They all were pretty good at what they did and got results from their people. I haven't seen much of a difference to be honest.

I have seen differences in bosses over the years...25 years thusfar. In most cases it had nothing to do with the gender of the boss. I grouped them according to how they treated their people. There were those who wanted to be successful and didn't care much for the team working for them. Then there were those who wanted the organization to be successful and knew the entire team performing their job was the key to success.

'Men are born soft and supple; dead, they are stiff and hard. Plants are born tender and pliant; dead, they are brittle and dry. Thus whoever is stiff and inflexible is a disciple of death. Whoever is soft and yielding is a disciple of life. The hard and stiff will be broken. The soft and supple will prevail.' Tao Te Ching 72

Are there genderless equivalents of "his"/"hers", "him"/"her", etc? "It" seems inappropriate for a human.

Unless one is referring to Bruce/Catlyn Jenner. Then 'it' gets confusing.

I have had the experience of having both female and male bosses over the years and I have been in executive positions for well over ten years.

I would consider there is good and bad on both sides and it has much more to do with each person's experience and personality in leading others, than it has to do with their gender.

In the West women are not doing any better than men with regards to political or economic leadership. Hillary led the whole Benghazi fiasco. Most of the top corporations in this country have women at the top of the EO and CEO/Board members even owners! Getting better? No. Not because women are rising, but because both women and men who seek power and fortune know they have to keep the wars going and most of the world backwards.

And I predict "Men and women are equal, but have different roles..." in the next few posts[/QUOTE]

I concider both my wife and myself equal as people but we are still different though, this is what some feminists don't seem to get.

As a man i cannot give birth, I am also physically stronger. We also think differently. Apparently men think about sex every 7 seconds, do women also do the same?

Women are better at multitasking but that's not sexist it is just down to biological evolution due to motherhood.

So you see most women going to church 'put up with it.' Are you sure you don't mean men. Walk into a Christian church today and you would think 3/4ths of the women are 'single' or single moms: No husband, boyfriend , finance sitting next to them.
