I met my wife at work (she works in a different department). It worked out for us, but not sure I can recommend the workplace as a certain level of discretion is required during work hours.

May I suggest that simply attempt to hang out at more social gatherings and attempt to increase your circle of friends?

I met my husband online on Christian Mingle. There were some creepy guys on there, and my hubby told me about a couple of odd girls. But we had both felt that we exhausted all the options in our area and wanted to meet someone, so this was the best way to meet someone that we otherwise would probably not be able to meet on a daily basis.

I seem to be having a hard time finding many single Christian girls in my age group. Where did you meet your spouse? Where should I be looking?

My dear wife and I say we always knew each other even though we did not meet until we were in our 40s. We met at work. Neither of us were looking to get married and we expected and wanted to live our lives single. If I had my life to live over, this is one of the few things I would not change -- I never looked for a wife. I could never have found such a saint for a wife and pilgrim partner.

But each person is different and God takes each person on his or her own way. Trust God's plan for your life as you seek him every day with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole mind, and with your whole strength. Do this and in the end you will say, "Blessed is the God of all mercy and love, thank you, nothing I could have planned or desired equals the life you gave me."

Church but I never gave her a second look until later. I used to sing praise songs if secular music was being played where I couldn't change the music. There was a group of us at a mutual friends home and someone turned on secular music so I walked away singing praise songs and looked over to see her doing the same thing. We've been married for 16 years now.

What is your age group and where are you located?

I've heard of visiting other churches during midweek services if you can't find anyone in your own church. People who go to those services might be a bit more serious about Bible study, or the most active in church if that means anything.

Lots of people meet online. There are Christian dating sites. It would be good to be able to choose a potential partner by height, hair color, religion, or whatever criteria. I think one of the advantages is that everyone on the site is probably there to meet someone to day. If you go up to a stranger and ask her out, it might not be appreciated. But people on dating sites go there to find a date/girlfriend/spouse. The downside is you aren't meeting them in real life, but you could do that, too.

I met my wife after a period where I spent some focused time on praying for the Lord to send me a wife. I'm very happy with the one He sent me. :)

I met my wife in an online Christian dating site. We engaged in discussion in an onsite forum. Guess whenever I flexed my apologetic muscles she took interest. I never thought that I would meet someone from an online source as I was also attending a singles group through my church. We ended up meeting one another (she flew to me) and throughout the various telephone conversations (months after) decided to arrange marriage counseling through her church. I flew out to her state to be with my soon to be bride, we attended her church where we completed marriage counseling, and then tied the knot. We are looking toward our 4th anniversary this year.

Wishing you the best,
Cush

My husband and I also met in an online Christian Single's discussion forum. We got to know each other on the forums for a year before he decided to leave the forum. He invited me to continue our friendship off the site, so we did that for a couple of months before he started to pursue me. It was a good way for us, although this does not work for everyone since it's pretty hard to tell how honest someone is online.

Well, don't go by my example.:sorry:

I was sitting in trigonometry class in high school and one of my BFFs said, "Hey, you have to come meet my new boyfriend."

And so I did.

He liked me and broke up with her but we didn't start dating until 6 months later when he asked both of us to go to his Graduation party. She took me there so I could meet him again. We dated for 6 years and have been married for 24 years.

But I don't recommend anyone follow my method ^_^

This was back xx years ago .....

I was a freshman in college looking for a congregation. DW was a senior in hs and I visited her congregation a few times. That denomination (Assy of God) had a talent contest for senior and some junior hs students for scholarships to their various colleges. In that congregation the wife of the youth pastor accompanied the singers on piano. But she told DW that her song did not need a piano but a guitar - and she knew JUST the guitarist to accompany her (me). So we were set up.

I met him at church when I moved to St. Louis, MO, when I was 12 and he was almost 15.
We started going together in St. Louis when I became a believer at age 14.
We broke up when I was 16.
We each married other people from the church when I was 19, he in Portland, OR and I in St. Louis.
My husband died when I was 27 and living in MN.
His wife died in CO when he was almost 40.
We met again at a church convention in Portland, OR.
We married when I was 38 and living in CA.

People who marry in their culture are more happy in the marriage then people that marry someone from a different background. Only the more different you are genetically the more healthy the kids will be.

I met my wife in college, my freshmen year first sem the second week. I had a two week rule from the time I was 13 or 14. It was something about her, all my playa rules and codes went out of the window. When I was a young boy I promised myself I would never set foot in a church but I would always stay in my word.....my wife made me go back to the church and still makes me go back today. I think from early on I saw the importance of the relationship and I made sacrifices immediately.
